Yeah I like it to matches the tree you used at the front, though you dont need to put trees it just needed anything to break up the bareness because the decking is so big
One thing that bugged me, is that the red GTW plant from debug is floating, but that's not your fault.
Im puzzled a bit about the wall ivy in the pool though. Did it bug on me or was that intended?
Another thing is, since it's blocking the way out of the pool that bench is not useable by Sims.
Since you placed the trees on the ground in the basement, you dont need a room for them. The room is only needed for raised items, since they drop to the ground if placed outside of a room.
I played around a bit with your fire place because your olive fence did disappear and I came up with this
One last thing about the terrain paint. I think it looks more natural, if you mixed in some other green and some brown terrain paint between the pink flower paint. I didn't take a picture sorry but just play around with the different terrain paints and mix them.
I have a question for either or both of you, @Cbear13 and @crysk . I just finished a build for @steskens interior design challenge, and was having problems with the lighting on the patio fence. I built a room in the basement under each light and moo'd each one up to the fence on the patio. The lights stayed in place when I put the lot from my library onto a new lot, but the lights were dark and did not reflect on the wall of the fence at night—all except one light, and I'm not sure what I did differently with that one. Have you had success in placing lights this way? And what might I be doing wrong? Sorry if this is the wrong place for this question, but it seemed like something many builders would like to know!
@StSciurus this is the right place this thread is all about helping so we welcome all questions
Would you mind if I had a look at the lot in game with the lights to see if I can figure out whats happened?
Oh dear! I would be happy to let you see the lot in game, but after I fixed the lot by using other fixtures (outdoor fixtures that rested on the ground and then moo'd into fence) I deleted the other lot from the gallery and from my library. I will see if I can reproduce what happened before and then upload that to the gallery. Thank you for your offer of help!
@StSciurus I downloaded the lot and they all seem to light up the patio quite well could you take me a picture and post here of the ones you mean? Or the difference between the one that lights up for you and the ones that don't?
You are looking at the new lot with the lights fixed. I used wall lights moo'd up from the basement on the old lot, which I have deleted from the gallery. As I said above, I will need to try to recreate what I did with the wall fixtures.
So Ive just noticed that all my sims have disappeared from my library, like all the sims ive ever created anyone else have this problem? I had sims on there that werent put on the gallery so quite annoyed

Hello.
Check to make sure that you have ticked the "include custom content" box that is in the advanced section of the filter in the Gallery.
The game has been classifying many creations as having cc, even when not using cc for for the sims , This box may need to be ticked so as you can see the items in the library and the community sections of the gallery.
I couldn't reproduce the light that worked, but I can show you the difference between how a moo'd light looks and an unmoo'd light looks both in daylight and at night.
I will have to do some experimenting in game with lights, cant say I have ever had an issue with them I know that some lights are brighter than others so I tend to choose the brighter ones but you can see the noticeable difference in your picture.
Again, thanks for your help @Cbear13 ! I wish I could figure out what I did to the one light so it looked like the unmoo'd light above but still stayed put!
@rosemow I did check that but there is no households at all they are all gone
Go to your tray folder that is in Documents - electronic arts - sims 4 folder, and see if your household files are there.
Your tray folder ( in your sims 4 folder ) contains the files of the sims households and the lots that you have saved to your library.
Each sims household contains 5 files and an extra file for each extra sim. ( 1x .householdbinary, 1x trayitem, 2x .sgi, 1x .hhi and an extra sgi file for each extra sim)
A Lot consists of 6-11 files, depending on how many floors your Lot has (1 trayitem file, 1blueprint file and 4 bpi files, and an extra bpi files for each extra floor).
Check to see if the sims households files are there.
@StSciurus The lamps will light up the room they were placed in. So obviously they wouldn't light the patio but the basement room. You sure that the one lamp in question was in the basement?
@crysk I created a one-square basement room for the one light fixture that did work on the patio. I might have moved it again once it was moo'd into place, but when I put the saved lot onto a new lot, it was still in place and still looking normal. I have not been able to duplicate it again, though. I am satisfied with the solution I came up with using floor fixtures.
Hi @emere
I have been trying to go online in game but the game wont let me for a while now and ive been trying to download your lot to check out lol was hoping to get it done before I had to cook dinner so it maybe a bit delayed

right after i left for work this morning i remembered something. The lights are wall items, that means you wouldn't need a room. A wall is all you need to keep them raised. Maybe the lamp that actually lit up the area was placed outside the room by accident?

@crysk , I may have done that. When I have a little time, I plan to experiment with just a wall in the basement and not a whole room and see if that makes a difference.
Edit: I tried placing the light on a single wall panel in the basement and then moo'ing it up onto the fence. It worked like a charm! The light had the right color on the fence and reflected its light at night. The problem seems have been in putting the wall light inside a room instead of just on a wall. Thanks for the suggestion, @crysk !
I also discovered something interesting about lights on fences. I started with a half wall (with move objects on), placed wall lights along it, then used the replace fencing tool to change it to a fence. The wall lights stayed in place on the fence. I saved the lot and then placed the save lot onto a new lot. The lights were still in place on the fence, and I had not needed to create walls in the basement. I wonder if anyone else has tried to place lights on fences this way.
