Wow, these little creatures are needy.
Attention, food, and diaper changes, it's a merry-go-round that's not so merry.
Well, you still love them, but thankfully I have this down to a 3-day phase.
Shirley gets to sleep.
A few hours later, It's time for diaper changes.
I made Xara do it. She seems none too pleased about it.
That look gives you a good idea how bad the smell is.
Shirley should offer up a thanks, or she just might have a resentful maid.
Eventually, she will have to change a dirty diaper .
She's experiencing just the good parts for now.
You're a maid/butler/nanny.
You should prepare some tea.
But, you just can't prepare it and leave it. Once started you have to finish it.
So, I would probably have to have Xara start it, have Shirley and Cairo join her, and then have Xara leave.
Or just pretend that Xare prepared tea for them.
Shirley usually collects the mail and pays the bills.
I decided to let Xara collect it and leave it on a table for Shirley to process.
This turned out to be a problem. Shirley happened to have plates in her hand when I told her to pay the bills. This created a very nasty jump bug that had the babies flying out of their cribs. Fortunately I had saved just before this and I simply quit the game to avoid it.
So, enjoy your tea.
Your world is safe, for now.
Time's up!
Go and show the babies some attention.
I might have to lock Xara out of the nursery.
She can't keep her hands off the babies.
They could spend most of their day doing this.
Feeding, diaper changing, socializing.
I do have a time mod, so maybe it's making it worse, or maybe it's making it better. I don't intend to find out. I love how time flows in my game.
This is great though.
It's been so long since I have experienced family play. I didn't bother in The Sims 4.
Reagan Capp?
No, he doesn't want to go out on a date with you!
You will notice Shirley randomly tying her hair up in a bun.
That Proper trait often has her changing over to formal wear. I tired of it, so I gave her the same outfit in formal wear, but the hair is different.
You two still have chores to do.
"See you on the flip-side."
This area is rarely seen.
It leads to two of the bedrooms.
I probably should have had Shirley study science and Cairo study alchemy.
It would be more in character for them, but I don't mind them have some atypical talents.
Shirley seems to bring a high level of seriousness to it though.
I am adding more decor to the nursery.
It's looking better.
I take back what I said about locking Xara out of the nursery.
She can do whatever she wants. These babies are so needy.
Just don't turn the babies into frogs, okay?
I really am enjoying this.
It's a really nice follow-up to the bachelor challenge.
It's not that late, but is seems like a good opportunity to turn in while the babies are satisfied.
Sleep while you can.
I forgot about the genie lamp.
I think they still have two wishes left.
You certainly deserve your rest.
Speaking of rest, these two are well rested. They must have really good beds.
It's past three in the morning. I gave Shirley new sleepwear. How about some sexy time?
How about baby time instead?
Yes, dirty diapers too.
Shirley didn't get out of changing a diaper this time.
Uhm... Okay...
I believe the toddler stage will come a day early.
People complain about toddlers. It's the baby stage that I would rather skip.
I enjoyed the update. I love that you're playing them as nectarary owners - that's a storyline I've been wanting to pursue but just haven't gotten around to.
Edited to correct auto correct.
The Sims
Where are we going, and why am I in this hand basket?!
Toddle's
It's a beautiful summer morning.
Why wait for the afternoon?
To the cakes!
These babies have a little growing up to do.
As the first born, Sheldon goes first.
"Can I have some clothes, please?"
That might explain that surly expression.
He has Shirley's hair color. I have to get rid of that shaved head look of his.
Sheldon immediately heads to the tea room.
Really?
He can talk to and build relationships with Caira and Cora over the baby monitor?
It isn't long before Xara grabs him and brings him upstairs.
She puts him down and goes back to watch Caira at her cake.
Cairo does the honors this time.
All this store content that I never got around to using,
I need to know more about the baby monitor.
I believe I will be changing all their hair styles, but the color will remain.
Again with Shirley's hair color, I wonder if they are going to look like her too.
This is a good time to try the play pen.
Now it's Cora's turn.
He can practice talking in there?
The scales have fallen from my eyes.
That's great! This means the parents don't have to grind teaching them how to talk.
Shirley steals Cora away from Cairo--no flag on the play.
Let's see if we are going to be 3 for 3 with these carrot top children.
I also wonder if Cora and Caira will be identical twins. Does that happen in TS3?
Carrot top for sure, but she's not identical to Caira.
Nope.
Shirley is doing some multi-tasking with her phone?
I've been away from TS3 families too long. My memory is fuzzy.
I have to change that hair.
I don't like any of their hairstyles.
That will have to do.
I don't have much that I really like, EA's or CC.
Let's get you to the play pen.
It can only hold two at a time?
I was assuming three for some reason.
Well, you're out on bail, Sheldon.
Cora is jailed now.
And you will get to try out the stroller, little man.
I am bad at reading toddler faces.
I have no idea which parent Caira favors.
I do believe she will be the cute one,
but you can never be sure with toddlers.
This is awesome!
No grinding teaching them to walk either.
I should have started a family when I first bought this stuff. What was I thinking?
"You're a showoff, Sheldon!"
" 'am strollin', you hatin'."
And thus begins the sibling rivalry.
Dad is too zoned out in the rocking chair to notice.
I really love this.
It's a fantastic come-back to toddlers-- even to three of them.
And I have a changing table too?
If all this content had been in Generations, there would be no way people would call it a stuff pack.
Hey, where on Earth is Shirley?
I enjoyed the update. I love that you're playing them as nectarary owners - that's a storyline I've been wanting to pursue but just haven't gotten around to.
Edited to correct auto correct.
I really love having a nectar business, plus growing their own ingredients on their farm; I think I will be playing that scenario often.
Yep, definitely love that house.
"To the cakes!" lol. They're a cute bunch. But where did dad's genes go with hair colour...
(theoretically identical twins must be possible but I've never seen it happen spontaneously)
Status Update!
There isn't much to report.
I'm just enjoying my sim's family life and doing the potty training, walking and talking marathon.
It's less boring with all the content.
The parents partially train them and the children also spend time learning on their own.
Shirley took a nap after waking up for a very early feeding and potty training.
Caira was the first to learn how to walk. That play pen restores their needs and she has spent more time in it than Sheldon. So while Sheldon was sleeping she was learning how to walk.
I was wondering how this would work.
Does the mosaic really need to be this large?
The children have their own schedule and I don't mind the chaos. I could try to time it all so everyone's needs and activities are more in sync, but this will make seeing them age up to children a welcomed relief.
It's funny that the xylophone doesn't bother Cairo in that lounger.
Yep, definitely love that house.

@JoAnne65
I wonder if his CC hair is being ignored.
I am curious what the next round of child births will bring.
I'd say colour is colour, whether it's on EA hair or custom hair, but who knows...
Next round hey ?
I hate the blur too and love my nomosaic mod Love that dino wallpaper.
Love the photos of the toddlers! I often avoid putting a rocking chair and a baby monitor in the same house these days (especially if the parents are self-employed) because the toddlers constantly asked to be rocked. It's way overtuned for that interaction, IMO, and gets really annoying.
Your screenshots look great and I also love the house! I can't tell you how many of your builds I always add to my game, but there are quite a few!

Oh wow, a ton of new CK content. Thanks for the tag
Just got TS3 working again after many long months, seeing all this the same day is awesome. Im making Sims 1 sims in CAS to populate a user-made "Maxis Island" world thats a recreation of all of Sims 1 in one TS3 world.
Gotta love those triplets, the trollish elder brother, the middle girl who looks to be quite popular later (love that hair) and the third child, who honestly looks a bit like she'll have the Evil trait later xD
About those toddler books, did you know you can place them on the ground and have the toddlers read them on their own, with no supervision?
Rebuilding Sims 2 inside Sims 3 one lot and sim at a time.

I didn't know about leaving the books on the floor for the toddlers.
I'll do that. There is quite a bit for them to do.
I haven't been playing at all lately and I have another week of 12 hour days at work and we will probably work Saturday too.
@CK213 I'm new to posting on this forum and happened to stumble upon this thread, I'm so happy that I did! I love your pictures, they are so vibrant and the composition is amazing. One of my favorite things is just seeing pictures from other people's games and I have thoroughly enjoyed yours. I too love the interaction with toddler skill books, and it's made even better by the fact that they are able to actually gain skills by using them. Great job and I look forward to more.

If you use testingcheatsenabled true, you can pull up their needs bars with the mouse.
Oh yeah, and Make it Three Babies is the correct title. LOL
