May I ask on what lot you built @Artemis_Dreamer because I once again am suffering from disappearing columns and the hangin plants at the BBQ disappeared as well. I can clearly see them in the gallery pics though. With MOO on they were there but I had items move inside the shell again.
And I'm curious about the two empty rooms in the basement.

Just wanted to let you know I'm still working on my practice challange but it will be coming. I'm attempting modern which is a theme I struggle a bit more with so thought it would be good to get feedback for
@Amiejaidenalbie_1988 no rush, I am good at modern (not so good with every other style haha) so I cant wait to see how you go its a great shell for modern style

Hello @Amiejaidenalbie_1988 . It is great that you doing a modern theme. I will look forward to seeing your landscaping work
Hi everyone, I've been following this thread and looking at all the amazing things you've all been doing and wondering if I could join in. Can I start with the first challenge?
@crysk I'm sorry that my build seems to be causing you trouble! It's built on the Hillside Highlands 20x30 lot in Newcrest.
When using MOO to build, I tend to only turn it on when I need to put an object in an impossible position - I don't build the whole thing with MOO on, so I have a basic sense of whether objects will be functional/usable and aren't placed too close together.
Could this be causing the issue?
The basement rooms are so that the lamps I've hung in the trees don't fall to the ground, the same way that the basement walls are supposed to prevent the hanging plants on the patio from falling to the ground - this is per advice from @Cbear13 . As for doors, I didn't realize they were considered a separate part of the challenge - I just wanted to eliminate any remaining confusion about the purpose of the rear arch trellis. Sorry!
The rooms look very nice! @steskens Very nice design of the kitchen! The cabinets look nice how they are placed around the windows. The bottles, spice set, bowl and paper towel are great kitchen touches on the wall shelves. It is nice that there is an eat in dining area in the kitchen. The pears wall picture gives a nice look to the room. Sims will enjoy the sunshine coming into the room through the windows whilst cooking and dining there. Very nice colour scheme of the bedroom. The clothes and drsser nook looks great! The flowers are pretty on the bedside table for sims to see when laying in bed.
Hello @cbear13 and everyone, is there a rule on how many pictures I have to post of the build? I'm doing the first challenge all together, so the landscaping, roof and interior are done? Thank you:)
@Artemis_Dreamer the columns should disappear because of the MOOed wall flowers near them. Like I said before place columns last if you MOO objects near them. As for the disappeared hanging plants at the BBQ, I actually don't know why they did that. Keep in mind items do disappear if MOOed to closely to each other, that is why it is important to test your lot. Simply save your built to the gallery and place it with MOO off.
This is a house for a couple with two kids, both girls. The older girl is a teenager and the younger one is a child. I'm not sure what style is my house but I think it's a small cottage? It is traditional, so definitely not a modern house.
Thank you so much for the feedback. I know I still have a lot to learn and I keep making 'sticking' mistakes.
Little Blue House is very nice! @popettypop2012 Very nice exterior of the home! The blue colour looks very nice and the roof texture complements with it. The open shutter flower box windows dormers look very pretty! Very nice water fountain and pond feature ih the front garden! The flowers and rocks look very nice on the edges of the water. The flowers look nice placed around the edges of the wishing well. The hedging looks very nice on the edges of the lot. Very nice layout and furnishing of the interior of the home. The wall pattern and paneling in the bedrooms look nice. It looks nice the way the diferent coloured rosettes are placed vertically on the kids room wall. The beauty products/toiletries are nice touches on the dressers. Very nice open plan living, kitchen and dining areas. The blue colour scheme of the areas looks very nice. The chequered floor tiling gives a nice look to the kitchen area. The cabinets look great how they are placed on the kitchen walls, and the teabags, dish rack and utensils are great home touches on the counters. Very nice fireplace sitting area. Sims will enjoy resting there in front of the fire watching tv. The patterned floor rug adds a nice feel to the area and the flowers are pretty for sims to see when sitting there. Very nice outdoors dining, bar and gardening areas. Sims will enjoy sitting at the umbrella covered table eating meals they have cooked on the BBQ, or enjoy sitting on the stools having a drink from the bar in the outside air. The gardening boxes nook is great! Sims will enjoy growing and harvesting plants there.
The home is very nice
Ok here's my submission. I can't build for crap but figured this no pressure no expectations arena would be a good spot to learn. I'm doing the current challenge. I'm trying to go for the natural pond look for the pool. All suggestions, comments and critiques are welcome!!
Welcome @VioletRed if you would like detailed feedback upload each part so we can look at it in game also if you prefer feedback can be in private in messages or posted here its up to you. Did you landscape the whole lot?
Comments
I'm not asking for any additional feedback, but I wanted to post the gallery link:Link.
That way @crysk and @Cbear13 know that I'm learning, not just listening!
And I'm curious about the two empty rooms in the basement.

I think it might be one of the disappearing debug items. Which is sad because I like it and it would be perfect to MOO it into a fruit bowl.
the ingame gallery or the web one?
