Add on info windows

Does anyone know how to stop those add on info windows from popping up everytime I start my game? It wouldn't bother me so much except for the fact that it's 10 popup windows to close every time before I can even try to click anything else! They are only supposed to pop up the first time after installing a stuff or expansion pack but they are there every time I open the game, it's very annoying.

I have tried disabling all CC.
I have removed all CC completely and played with a freshly installed game.
I have repaired the game and played with CC.
I have repaired the game and played without CC.
I have also tried resetting my sims 4 folder.

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated as these popups are driving me nuts!

Hello
When the pop ups come up, is there an option on them to tick them, rather than pressing an x to close them ? If there is a tick on the pop up box, press that and it may help to prevent them appearing again.

I am sorry that you are having this issue. You have tried doing the steps that should have helped the issue.

Try turning off origin in-game and see if that helps.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling origin.

Try launching the game, then when the pop ups come up close them. Then start a new game, play it for a little while, then save it. Exit the game, and come completely out of the game. Then go back in again and see if the issue remains.

I just tried turing off the origin in-game, it still happens.
Unistalled and reinstalled origin, started game with and without origin in-game on and it still happens.
Also did the start a new game thing and it still happens

I am sorry that you continue to have the issue. When you reset the sims 4 folder, did the issue occur when you started the game before adding back the old folders from your desktop? If you haven't tried testing that, see if the same pop ups occur then. If they still appear when doing that then, go back into the game a second time again before adding back the old folders and test again to see if the pop ups remain.

I always check by restarting the game 3 times just to be sure. Nothing seems to make them stop popping up.

Hello,
I have been searching trying to find a way to stop the pop ups.
If you haven't already done this, you may need to uninstall and reinstall the whole sims 4 game. I am sorry

If you do that, make a back up copy and place it on an external drive before uninstalling.

I wasn't sure if you meant in your first post that it was a new save game that you tested it with or a complete reinstallation.

Yeah, I'm guessing you might have to reinstall the whole game cuz it's not supposed to be like that.

This is seriously frustrating!! It's still happening. I uninstalled Sims and all packs completely, restarted my computer, reinstalled and opened the game 3 times after completely closing it and origin and they still pop up! I think its just time to give up lol

Perhaps you may need to make a bug report on the AHQ EA site and see if someone else there is having the same issue.

I have been thinking again. I am not sure if this will help, but try going into game options and unchecking the online notifications and share user data boxes. I don't think that it will help, but you could try doing it.

Did this just happen after the new patch or has it always been happening?

The suggestion rosemow mentioned might help.

Also, I don't know if this might help but try deleting Origin cache files. Make sure you delete the hidden ones too.

I am still trying to think of things that may help.
When the pop ups appear, could you try pressing the escape button. Then the next time, they perhaps may not appear.

Try manually uninstalling and reinstalling origin

This info should be stored in this file: ReticulatedSplinesView

When you reset your folder, did you put that back ? If so, try moving it to the desktop again and let the game create a new one. You should then get all the Windows and all the rewards again. Click them away and then restart to see if it helped or not.

@rosemow - I tried with unchecking the online notifications and share user data boxes, no luck. I have tried using both the escape button and the "x", neither does anything. I am going to try to manually uninstall origin and see if it will help. I use CCleaner on my computer to clean all my cache and temp files. I love it and have used it for years.

@DeKay - I can't remember the exact time it started but it had been since after christmas. It just took this long to drive me nuts. I followed the instructions to delete the Origin cache files and that did not work.

@crinrict - When I reset my folder the Sims folder was completely deleted. I tried it without adding my CC back in (only used the game generated files and folders) and with my CC back in. Neither helped.

Hello
Try going to your sims 4 folder and deleting the ReticulatedSplinesView and the ReticulatedSplines files
Then launch the game. Click through all the pop ups.
Then exit the game completely. Then start the game again and see if the issue remains.
