At the moment I am reading a dutch book, called Weerwater by Renate Dorrestein. Well, I'm assuming that 99% of the people on this forum doesn't understand dutch. I would've recommended it if it was in English, it's a great book. it's about a not so famous dutch city, well I'm not sure how to explain how well know it is, I think everyone in the Netherlands knows about the city but just doesn't pay much attention to it. Okay on the story-line, the city got surrounded by a mist, everyone who goes into the mist disappears and never comes back (throughout the book the fate of those people is unknown and I still don't know even though I'm on page 257 of the 299). The people who remain are mostly women, the last men are mostly escaped prisoners. They work together to survive.

Right now I'm currently reading Dreams of Joy by Lisa See.

It's not too bad so far, though it is a sequel, and recommended to read the book before it first (Shanghai Girls).

The Wizard of Oz. I've been meaning to read it forever as it was my favorite movie throughout my entire childhood. So far the book is even stranger than the movie but in the best way, lol.

@MelanieSimlish , The Wizard of Oz is a great book! You'll really enjoy it.

If you like it, you should check out the other books in the series eventually. They're definitely strange, but so much fun.

It's easier to just share my goodreads reading list at this point. I don't know how I ended up with so many books on the go.

(the page counts are all a bit behind though. Monitoring the count on 4 books is more effort than I care to give lol).

There is a risk that I will have finished it the day after. I hope I can pace myself.

I also recently finished Anthony Doerr's All The Light We Cannot See. Would recommend, especially if you like stories set during WW2 like me.
