Hi everyone, finally catching up

Sandraelle, thanks for telling me about the doors. Thank goodness folks can easily add those back if missing. I used the standard 'he' and 'she' doors. So funny about the register turning into a canister. I remember once I download a lot before I had all the store items and there were mini trains all over the place, lol.

Rose, thanks to you and Sandraelle for the cheering up hugs

Terry! Yay, you came by. Thanks so much for the detailed review. Reminds me of when I entered your All Around the World contest. Remember those days, heh heh. The cinema is just the large TV screen with chairs in the darkened, starry night room on the main level. No rabbit holes in the lot. So sorry to hear about your game not working... how very frustrating. BTW, I couldn't find the Pet register. Am wondering if it only shows up if the lot is assigned as a pet store. Anyway, if you find it, you can add to the pet store. Otherwise, your sim can purchase pet related items. Hmm... I wonder if a sim can stock any of the cages. I didn't try that out. Anyway, it was my pleasure and a blast. I hope you enjoy it once your game is up and running again. Squishy hugs back at ya

Sparky and Romagi, thank you so much. I hope you also enjoy it even more in game

And now a much smaller build... another DNA Team request. This time for a fully accessible version of Hogan's diner. This is a simple lot but I hope you like it. The requested wanted it to be toddler friendly so I've included high chairs, a small family room with crib and potty, and a playground.

It's build on a 30x30 lot so folks can use 'as is' or put this onto a larger lot and have fun personalizing to their heart's content. For example, in the very last screenshot below, I put it on a 30x40 and created a makeshift drive-in. Folks can add a gym or a bowlerama, etc.

    Here's an option to personalize...

50's diner looks very great! :) Very nice exterior of the restaurant! The red and white colour scheme of the exterior looks very nice. The large sign on the corner of the lot gives a great look to the build. The car parking spots look great! Very nice playground area! Kids will have fun playing on the equipment there. The icecream sundae on the front roofing looks very great! Very nice furnishing of the interior of the diner! The black and white chequered flooring gives a great look to the build! Very nice red, white and black colour scheme of the interior. It looks very nice how the tables and chairs are set up in the build. Sims will enjoy sitting at the tables eating and drinking. The condiments and serviettes are great touches on the table tops. It is nice that there are high chairs in the diner. The red dining sofa booths look very nice! Very nice bar stools counter and food register area! Sims will enjoy ordering food from the food register and sitting eating the meals on the stools or at the tables. The red columns look nice how they are used there. It is great that the bistro oven is in the build. Sims will enjoy ordering food and having it delivered to their tables. The pictures, animal plates, signs, and other wall decor ifems on the wall through the areas of the diner give a very nice look to the build! The hanging pots are a great kitchen touch in the cooking area.
Sims will enjoy dining there! :)

Well you usually seem to pick the most interesting build ideas, the 50s Diner is simple and very cool. I love this style and the design of your diner is pretty awesome. The seatings corner is really cool (even with chairs for children!) and the middle 'island' with the counters and stuff looks quite intriguing. With its exterior design it probably fits in everywhere :star:
I have the simplest tastes. I am always satisfied with the best.

Another DNA Team request build completed... a farmhouse styled home created for @HSmith2016 . This one was a bit outside my comfort zone since I usually don't do country, however it was a fun build and I hope you like it.

Beautiful landscaping and flowers welcome visitors who can't miss that red door. Lots of room to park on the driveway or in the double garage. The large front porch is perfect to hang out, play a game of chess or people watch. Get some exercise playing hopscotch or just relax near the beautiful pond with a book.

Around the left side is a playground to keep the kids happy and to the back is the cow shed, chickens, fruit and veggie garden. The original owners sold the extra land and just kept enough to keep themselves amused and well fed. Also at the rear is the BBQ area, shed for storing stuff, and another porch to relax. There's even apple bobbin' when the chores are done.

As you enter the front door you are greeted with a large and comfy living-room, warmed by a huge fireplace and perfect for snuggling or sing-alongs.

The archway to the left leads to the dining-room and adjoining eat-in kitchen with the darling little nook.

Sims can sit all around the table and enjoy the charming mementos of yesteryear including the tin ceiling and quaint furniture.

Accessible either through the living-room or the hallway is the study with a walk-out to the back porch.

Further down the hall are 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a full powder room for visitors, backing onto the laundry room.
2 more doors provide access from this wing to the rear porch.

The kiddies have direct access to their own little bathroom so no need for nighttime mishaps.

I hope you liked the walkthrough

@soocoolsim, thank you so much!!! Everything about it is perfect! The color scheme, the wood inside, the red door, the landscaping and backyard. Wow... I am so glad that you guys share your talents with those of us who can picture it but can never quite get it right! ;) I'm so glad I asked you to keep it a secret until the big reveal, it was well worth the wait! <3

ETA: The more I look at the pictures, the more I am just loving this home so much! You put so much detail into everything, I love the kids' room and bathroom, the little kitchen nook, the living room, the backyard is seriously amazing. I want to live in this house! Hahahaha :D

Yay @HSmith2016 , I'm so very happy you like the home so much. I have to tell you about that nook....

Remember I said that the 'bench' at the back wouldn't be usable? Well, I played around with the position of the table and chairs anyway and forgot all about it. So just before uploading I moved in my sim to play test and would you believe it... the first place he headed to was the nook. He proceeded to sit on the bench and calmly eat an apple he had in his pocket, then an onion. I was so tickled pink to unexpectedly discover my experimenting worked that I sent the poor sim to sit down in the nook again and again just for fun, lol.

Couldn't resist editing to add this pic of my tester sim looking longingly at the fruit on the wall. He loves to eat

LOL... I love that! Such a great picture, and I'm so glad that the nook will be a useable space for my Sims! I'm still working on the family I'm moving in to the house, would you like me to post a pic for you when I settle them in?
  • soocoolsimsoocoolsim Posts: 3,213 Member
LOL at your poor sim Glenkarri. I do the same sometimes, heh heh.

@HSmith2016 , I would love to see your family once they are settled in. I used the motherlode cheat to give my tester sim enough money to purchase the lot

@soocoolsim, I have been battling a wicked sinus headache the past two days so I haven't really been able to get in game to play as much as I have wanted to. But I will definitely get a picture for you soon!
  • soocoolsimsoocoolsim Posts: 3,213 Member
Don't stress about it @HSmith2016 .... you take it easy and feel better. I'm in no rush at all, OK

Paula, what an adorable farmhouse. Each room is so homey and cozy and just the perfect look. I really like your tin ceilings in the kitchen and love how your faux wood beamed ceilings turned out. I like making those bench seats in dining nooks as well....glad you were able to position the table so that the seating was usable. I'll have to try that next time. Rec'd and fav'd. :-)

I got a picture of Levi and Cassidy sitting on the nook together. The pic is HUGE, don't know how to make it smaller. Oops... :D
  • soocoolsimsoocoolsim Posts: 3,213 Member
Thank you @romagi1 , it was fun

Thank you @Lordkiribati , I enjoy building in the Sims3. Just can't seem to get into the Sims 4 even though some of the features like the curves are so great

Thanks @Sandraelle , it's cool that after all these years we both can still find something new to learn

Cool pic @HSmith2016 , hope you're feeling much better. Cute sims and thanks for sharing. There are several ways to make pics smaller. A couple are... if you have Paint, you can just open it up and click on 'resize'; or if you're hosting your pic on Photo Bucket, you can also edit and resize
  • SandraelleSandraelle Posts: 3,685 Member
@soocoolsim, Yes, I definitely am still learning new stuff after all these years.

@HSmith2016, I personally like seeing the huge pictures because you can see the detail! LOL My pics are usually pretty big too when I go to post.

Well, I had the CFE bug again.... this time a simple build to celebrate Easter - well, the cute version. Happy Easter

This little park is a fun place for simmies. It includes a small playground, babies/toddlers and kids playhouses, picnic area, pool, rollercoaster ride and other activities for a pleasant day out. Base game only required and a few (optional) store items. You can add other items if you wish from whatever EPs/SPs you have installed. Hope you like it!
