    Now, I hope EA fixes the problem with in-game gifting and Simport not working because our games are not being recognized as being registered.
    Yes, I totally agree with you! Since the last Sims3 update everything has been so "Out of Order". It's such a bummer when you begin to lose awesome gaming experiences because of the inconvenience. :disappointed: I'm with you on hoping EA fixes the no-no's.

    @Me1620 Thanks!

    Regarding the exchange, it is mostly fixed, but some glitches remain, like the "Featured" feature that is still not working.

    @Me1620 A Note on Reinstalling Post-Patch 1.69

    I had to reinstall again yesterday because of an issue with my computer and noticed a few things I thought may be useful to know:

    1) If you have digital downloads from Origin, you will now be forced to patch to 1.69 otherwise you will be unable to install or play any of your Origin content. This is because 1.69 changes the file directories for Sims 3 and no longer installs .exe for each EP/SP as the previous game patches did. If you manually re-patch down to 1.67 using superpatcher, you will loose access to any Origin EP/SP content in game (it will not show as installed in the launcher because the game can't find the .exe file; disk installation is unaffected by this as they install the .exe normally).

    2) You no longer have to worry about the size of your dcdb.ebc's in the DCCache when installing store content. The game now automatically generates a new one when they get close to the cap as discussed in @ciane threads. I do, however, recommend continuing to use her installation order to save space and ensure patterns will appear. Likewise, you can still simply place your original DCCache from a previous backup here with no issues (don't forget your CCMerged if you do this method!).

    3) There is a 1.69 patch for CAW now available. I have patched CAW myself and can now use EIG even though it opens Origin and the Launcher. This had previously been an issue for anyone using CAW with a "Go Social" version of the base game, but appears to be repaired now.

    Without sounding like a broken record, I did want to direct you guys once again to my fantastic 'inspiration lottery' for updating the early EA worlds. Less than two weeks until deadline!

    @calents – thanks for adding all of that information about patch 1.69. I've seen some of it floating around the forums, but it's good to have it all in one place for those with digital downloads.

    @bekkasan – not sure if you're a NFL fan or not (I believe most Americans are?), but wanted to send you my condolences just in case. My boyfriend has been dancing around the living room all day, which I believe is bad news for you. Stick with your Sims and you should be fine! *hugs*

    I need advice...I could get the Go All in Compilation right now on the DD for 675 SP because I already own the pinball machine. Do you think this a good deal? I would get the Classic Gumball Machine and the Regency Arcade plus a bunch of items towards the Vegas sets...seems like a pretty good price to me.

    I would need to find a bunch of ads so who thinks its worth the time??

    Depends upon how much you want it vs. other things that may be coming up soon. Personally I don't use much from it, but I am not much into having my sims gamble so I don't put fancy casinos into my game enough to use the stuff. I like the gumball machine. Sorry I can't offer much more than that.

Check the other compilations...I got a green download for Sept 2011 and check Oct 2011 too, I don't own Boho Men's or Vineyard Villa, but I bet you do!

    Thank you @trithone for your response, I never really looked into that one too much and all of a sudden I was like...I want that!! :D

    Ads were working for me thank goodness!

    @Bird166 thanks for the reminder, I had to go out, it's my day with my youngest granddaughter and we go to a baby group where we shake our maracas, so I didn't get time to check. I got both sept and oct 2011 :mrgreen: yayyyy.
    I am adding things very slowly to my game and I'm trying to catalogue things, I've had to make my own spread sheets because the ones here do not work on my Mac. I've had to learn how to do hyper links!!!! Yikes. I need to go through all my sets etc. I know best of 2010 should be free so I am making sure that I don't buy anything in those sets in it as it will waste sp's. I am really having to use my brain :D:D

    @Hayley~Belle yes!! :) I hadn't really given the "All In" much thought and then when I saw it I really liked it! So all the ads I watched yesterday were suppose to go towards getting the movie screen and entry barrier on sale so I could then get the Cinema Plumbob for the 220 SP, but now I'll have to start over :)

    Typical me, sees something shiny...wait, what was I suppose to be doing??? B)

I have been able to download the daily deal tracker and for my time zone and I use it constantly planning what I'm going for and what time I have to set my alarm for lol.
    I've never had to make a hyperlink before so I'm quite proud of myself that I was able to do it...little step for mankind big step for Hayley lol

    Two of my EPs (Pets and Ambitions) are Origin, and most of my SPs (except High-End Loft, Movie Stuff, and Master Suite) are Origin, so I'm kind of stuck until I can get physical copies. Pros and Cons:

    Cons (so far):
    1) I'm unsure how this will effect the game long-term as it is presently inconclusive if this will cause game lag, at least on my system, mostly because I'm wondering if it now has to take more time to read the EPs/SPs with this new installation setup.

    2) I hate that I have to go in and manually check all my EPs/SPs every time I play. This greatly annoys me as failing to do so will have consequences for saved games that have that content in them. It would be nice if it would just remember what I choose. (Also, technically there was a mod with the feature to turn off individual EPs/SPs already available, so this was kind of unnecessary).

    3) You must always have Origin running in the background to play your game now. This may also eventually result in lag as it also takes resources away from the game. If you attempt to manually close it with Task Manager, it will close your game, too. This feels unnecessary.

    Pros (so far):
    1) Faster re-installation of store items. Now that it splits those files on its own, you can get back into the game faster. (Possible counter con: hopefully you will not need to reinstall again for a long, long time, so this may be a moot point.)

    2) EIG. I couldn't launch it before because of the "Go Social" issue many players who use CAW have documented extensively, so this is kind of nice, but at the same time, I recently got a disk version of the original, non-Go Social base, so again, rather moot.

    So for me, at least, I have more cons than pros, and my pros are weak at best. It is possible there are those that love the new patch, but I'd rather get disk versions and go back to patch 1.67. :neutral: If you are still running on 1.67, I'd say stay on it. The new patch doesn't fix anything (other than the EIG issue, which is of no consequence to those who don't use CAW), and provides more frustrations and benefits.

    Apologies for being late today in posting this list! I had a meeting to get to and was running behind. Here are the current and upcoming deals for the next 20 hours. Luxe Lounge Spa and Mid Century Fantasy come up at their best discounts in this part of the cycle. There are a number of once-per-rotation deals mixed in, including the Frost-Bite Pro Ice Cream Machine at number 173. It's not much of a discount at 19%, so if you are working toward purchasing Fabulous Fiesta or April 2012 Compilation consider whether it is better to purchase the ice cream machine or other pieces from those sets. You can see a list of everything offered on the DD within a particular set using the Sort By "Part of Set" tab on the spreadsheet. It's a great resource for comparing prices and making your shopping lists. Happy Shopping!

    I'm still around, but not able to keep up on here like I had been. Too many pages to catch up on. Wish this phone line would get fixed so I can get online without any problems again but it doesn't look likely to happen any time soon. :cry:
