Hello If you need to roll back to an earlier save game version, find the save game file that you are currently playing. You can tell that by the date/time. Move the save file of that number that ends in .save to the desktop. Then take off the .ver0 from the file that has the same slot number. Then launch the game and try to play that save game.
i want an earlier version of the game not the saves
The save versions are earlier versions of your save game.
If you want to start a new save game, you can start a new game by pressing the " +" button in the main screen.
Move your mods folder to the desktop. Start the game and see if that helps your issue. If it does help, then put your mods/CC back into the newly generated mods folder one by one or in batches and testing after each one to see which is the cause of the problem.
Because you have a lot of mods/cc, use the 50/50 method. Put half of your mods/cc into the mods folder then start the game and see if the issue is still there. If the issue is not there, then you know that those items work okay with the game. Then you can test the other half of your cc/mods.
If the issue is still there with the first half, you will need to keep testing them to see what is causing the problem. Then you will need to test the second half of your cc/mods too.
You can try the 50/50 method. Put in the first half and test it out. If there is not problem, then the broken mod is in the other half. Then you just go down from there. I hope you only have 1 broken mod tho.
i listened to dekay and my game works but i accidently left a filter on when moving them so now i have like 3/4of what i had >.< i forgot what i had downloaded coz i got so much
To all you beautiful people out there, have a lovely day.

Perhaps you can try to play your game like normal again and if there's anything you feel a bit off, you can just find a mod that does so.
I can't even get my game to run past the loading screen where it says "The Sims 4". It's just frozen there, and it won't even minimize, and I keep having to forcefully restart my computer and delete more mods, but it never works.

If the game still won't work after moving your mods folder to the desktop, there are other things to try doing as well.
Repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.
Try switching back to 32 bit mode and see if that helps.
Right click on The Sims 4 tile in Origin.
Select “Game Properties”
Change the “When launching this Game” setting to “The Sims 4 32-bit

The dont need to post their DxDiag. That would be a last resort if they could not play on vanilla game. This person posting had mods and may be the cause of their game not working

Ah okay.
Sorry.

@TetsuoShima, try loadin it completley without mods to see if its the mods or the game itself
It did work before I enabled mods, but there's no way to disable them because I can't even get that far into the game.
@Colton147147 I have the DxDiag saved, but right now, I'm going to try running the game without mods.
Drag the Mods folder to the desktop and then try opening it. If it opens, you can gradually put mods/CC back to isolate what's no longer compatible with the game.

The game works without mods, but I still haven't found the mod that is keeping it from working. I think it's one of the mods that I downloaded around the same time as the update, which caused me to think it was the update, so I'm deleting those mods one my one until the game works again.

Could you post your DxDiag?

If it does not fit, split it up into multiple posts.
