I thought I'd give this a try! I'm not too experienced with writing short stories, so this was definitely a growing experience for me. Also, I can't decide if my story is meaningful or just corny. But whatever, I wrote it and it's done, so here it is
I wish I could have gotten the horizontal line breaks to look a bit better, since they're pretty integral to the story. Any of you know how to work with them?
Let's just say that I almost quit writing in this whole experience. I am not the greatest writer to begin with, but starting a story out of thin air took a lot of patience, re-writing, and pulling hair. I did learn a lot in regards to my writing and screenshots. (Possibly, I'll never do a short story again, for example. It took two weeks to do this. I haven't done a thing with my stories. haha)
The limit is 1500 and the story itself is within the 1500 word limit. I don't include the title. If you find it isn't 1500, please let me know. I'll try to fix it quickly.
Yay All caught up (I hope) on reading. If I missed your story let me know, although I'm sure we'll get @Carewren123 's list updated soon. Such great stories this month. Half dark and half light, and half humorous!!! Thank you all for sharing your wonderful Countdowns!
Let's see how many more we can get in the next few days...I'll start...
THREE (days) :P
Check out Raerei's Fortress for Builds, Short Stories, and maybe some longer stuff.
Haha thank you for mentioning the time left, ladies Have a draft ready just need stage some pics to go with the story... And i do hope i interpreted the theme correctly. More to come soon
Hi everyone.
I was planning on having a full-length last minute entry, but I have a cold, and am therefore too lazy and sorry for myself to write. So, instead, have a super super short story, which I will publish later. Just a warning, so you aren't confused on why it's so short.

Ok, sweet ladies and lads, the sweat is building up in my hands. Ever so hyped about my first ever sharing any kind of short story. And not only that, writing in anything other then native language is odd, even if it is English. I therefor do sincerely hope i got the interpretation of the theme right. But most ánd first of all i wanna take the opportunity here to thank all you guys for boosting my creativity with sharing your awesome fruits of labor. If it weren't for that i might have not started writing again. Which would be an utter shame, not that i'm saying i am good at it, but i enjoy so much!
Ok, without anymore blabla i give you my entry for this months challenge, sorry if it is very late.
Been saying all month that I was planning on entering - but I was struggling so much getting used to taking screenshots in sims4 that I almost ran out of time.
Shoutout to @CitizenErased14 and @SilentWolf101 who both proof read my story weeks ago when I first finished writing it.
Also a HUGE thank you to @ValoisFulcanelli who did an amazing job line-editing for me, and was super patient and awesome.
Initially I wasn't very happy with it, but it's last minute after all. And after re-reading it a few times I think I'm satisfied. Going to read the others now!

Bwhahahhaaaa!! Gotta love me some Meatball! That poor kid! I LOVE it! @Julyvee94
EDIT: You know what would be funny? If we had the reason that Rory and the fangirls would like it as one of the monthly themes! XD
Actually @CathyTea I had a thought similar to this (but maybe less specific ) A month where you have to use sims from someone else's story Or (crazier idea!) a month where you have to write a sequel to someone else's past short story submission (using their characters)
@Carewren123 those ideas may be a little too weird, but there you go

The story is called "My Mary Jane."
I hope you all enjoy the story!
I know I need to catch up on a few stories here yet. I'll do that over the next few days.

Fantastic stories, everyone! I really loved seeing all the different interpretations of the theme. They were are all so unique.
Wish I could continue the countdown to February, but we're still on the three-day-left mark, so I'll leave that to the next commenter
EDIT: Obviously, my count-down skills can use a little work! Two-and-a-half is down from three! Doh!
Do you also play The Elder Scrolls Online? You can find me there as CathyTea, too!
