Should I get a Mac or PC?

I am in search of a new computer. I am looking at the iMac with an Intel i5, 8GB memory, 1TB hard drive, and 1GB nVidia. The other is an iBuyPower also Intel i5, 8GB memory, 500GB hard drive, and 2GB nVidia. Now I am torn, because I currently have a 2010 Macbook, and it runs nicely for a laptop turning 6 soon. I can go for the iBuyPower and then use the Macbook, but I can can an iMac and use bootcamp. I am so torn, what do you guys suggest?

I would go with a PC if you have already an OS X computer, but what is your preferred budget? Would you need a monitor?

Is building a computer yourself an option? If not, do you have someone that can build it for you or can pay a computer store to build it for you?

If building isn't an option, a custom retailer, such as CyberPowerPC, is your best bet. People here, such as myself and @chesterbigbird, can configure you a desktop via CyberPowerPC if needed (I am not as experienced as @chesterbigbird however).

Once again, what is your preferred budget? :)

My budget would be the cheaper route, but I would sacrifice for a mac, because if i bootcamp it, it's like getting 2 computers in one, and I would be getting a machine that last a long time. I don't have knowledge with building a computer,

Would your budget be within this price range? :)

It'll run the Sims without any issue.

This configuration was made by @chesterbigbird and I only had to copy it here from another thread (I did not change anything to it, as it is fine as is). :)

Regarding the iMac you are looking at, what is the specific graphics card it has?

It is entirely up to you. :)

Both the custom configuration I linked and the Mac will run without issue. :)

the option would also be that you buy the pc tower and the parts and you custom build your pc with what fits your settings

I would say Mac because it has the 64-bit version of the game BUT a new patch is about to come out this month that upgrades the PC version to 64-bit as well. Since PCs are cheaper you could get better specs but that mac you listed meets the game requirements. If you're more comfortable with a Mac then it sounds like a good choice.
