Came to a cafe to write. A change of scenery. I usually write in silence, I prefer it that way. The music here is SO loud, I'm actually wincing with the pain of it. Bummer. Looks like I'm headed back home.
I am not a fan of the coffee shop for working. I have to do it a lot as a freelancer and I loathe it. I don't consider it to be a productive environment unless it's one of those small hidden shops. I've worked better in diners and small restaurants.
It also depends where you go as well. I've found local coffee shops to be a nice quiet place to work. And some aren't, it really depends on the place as not all coffee shops are created equal and all that jazz.

Yeah, I agree. It's best to avoid the big name places like Starbucks. But that seems like a choice that most of my clients like. What is it about directors and screenwriters and that place, I'll never know.
But i have been in some less busy coffee shops but those are usually in place that are not predominately commercial or college areas. Another factor though is the time you go as well.
I'm watching a movie and thinking about my fourth story. I can't do much on the computer until my thumb heals lol. I burnt it last night so it's stiff and swollen =/ I want to build and play Life is Strange but nooo.
@DreamsInPixels - Ouch! Hope you didn't burn too bad. My grandma used to but butter on burns...I doubt the healing property of butter but perhaps worth a try?
@munterbacon - Sleeping on the job eh? Kidding, kidding welcome back.
@Meggles - I had tomato soup and grilled cheese yesterday it was lovely. What kind of soup did you make?
So...you all know how I play that 'unblogged' legacy? Well, I wanted to do a little "recap" on the entire first generation, as I really find these Sims entertaining and wanted to share it with you guys, but it kind of turned into a full-blown almost 3000 word novel. It's also extremely image-heavy, so if you're on a device that loads slowly, I don't recommend reading it. But for those of you who are interested -- here's a super long post that gives some insight into my "whimacy."
@OJenn it's probably too late to try. My thumb isn't hot anymore. I'm lucky it didn't blister. Steam burns are the worst. It's under the skin and most of the time it doesn't even look burned unless it does blister.
@OJenn I had a minestrone soup mix where you add meat and whatever else you want so I sautéed some onions with garlic and added chicken, diced tomatoes, and some chicken broth. Should be yummy!!

Excuse me while I go and clean the drool from my face, be right back.
