So where did all my sims 3 games go that where sitting in Origin

winterlocwinterloc Posts: 348 Member
I went into Origin today and was looking at My game section and I only found a few of my games for sims 3 there. I also tried to do the EA/Origin sign up/ in but I cannot use this account screen name say it is already taken yes by me for over 10 years. So I know I have been away from this site for a while but. I am confused as to where my sims 3 games went.

I looked around at the site but not seeing anything about the change over I did get an email. Was I suppose go change something before an expiration date or something.

Do you all still have all your Sims 3 games showing on your Origin or EA/Origin account?
Thanks in advance for answering.

Hover over the base game cover and click on the i icon. This will display all of your registered packs.

Thanks Simasaurus09 I found them. You are a Gem. I am having big problems playing all the games with the new windows 10. Microsoft gave me a basic video card driver and no drivers for my video controllers. I am only using one video and I cannot get to play any of the games. Sims 3 Origin says it does not recognize my video cards. I am thinking of going back to windows 7 pro.

Have you install windows 10 yet? I should have done the custom install and I did not. Stupid me oh well.
    Thanks again for responding. :)

No, I'm waiting it out. We have a year to grab it so I'm in no rush.

Some games might need to be in compatibility mode. Have you tried to find the drivers yourself? Like if you have a Nvidia card then you would go to their site and look for your card number to get the driver for it. Laptops are a little different I think if you're playing on one. Is it refusing to start up Sims 3 for you?

Btw, you might want to consider moving this over to The Sims 3 Tech section by editing this thread. If it's mainly Sims 3 issues you are having then someone might be able to help you out a little better.

Yup I should have waited it out too. It is with all three series 1,2,3. sims 1 I only get the screen where you can make the choice of what resolution to play in. I can choose either one and nothing happens. Sims 2 I get a black screen and can hear the music but no picture. When I do a ctrl alt delete I get a quick flash of the video or the neighborhood screen before I end program. Then sims three is the sorry we do not recognize your video card.
I knew I would have a problem with the cards. They are old obsolete ATI/ADA 1950 crossfire cards. From what I read after the fact the custom install would still have windows 7 and all the drivers still there. Then windows 10 would have do its own thing. I just wish they had left the drivers alone.
I really need two new computers. I am holding off on that because I do want a machine with a windows 10 clean installed not one with windows 10 installed over windows 8.1. I usually play my games in the winter months. I am going to wait it out till maybe January 2016.

For the most part windows 10 does work on a 8 year old gateway fx530xt. I cannot use the dvd video viewer as promised if you had windows xp or window7 media center. I did have windows media center. Nor can I now use windows media player to play a dvd movie. However my dvd/cd drivers are working perfectly.

I went from a gaming computer to a workstation computer. I do however get great sound out of my old creative sound card with my 13 to 14 year old surround sound Boston Acqustic speakers.

I am really planning on taking windows 10 off and reverting back to windows 7 pro. We will see what happens. I do like the Edge web browser when it is working. However I really like windows 7pro better then 10. In my opinion 10 might be more stable and easier maneuver around in then 8.1 but windows7 is more stable and prettier then 10 and 8.1 7 in my opinion is a better then both of them.

    Thanks for the information,
