My sim cannot become friends with anyone.

Thank you, @rosemow! I tried the MC Command Center and that helped. I used it to completely destroy the relationship, then used the UI cheat mod to restore it, and then I loaded another lot. The friend status was still intact.

It is great that MC Command Center and the UI cheat mod helped you, and the friend status remained intact through the loading of another lot.

No problem... I wanted to mention too that there was a problem with the Main Module only, Deaderpool had to reupload it last night. Packaging issue, and MTS was HARD to get to yesterday, too!

Bringing it up because he said about 30 people got the broken file (I was one), so if (any of) you were an earlybird, you do need to go back and redownload that one part.

Thank you for fixing this! I started a new game and my friendships seem to be working normally now :)

However.... my sim cannot become disliked. Even with a very advanced red bar, his relationship status still reads as impartial. He has the public enemy aspiration, but cannot make progress on it because he cannot be disliked by two sims. I haven't tested it to see if this problem works the same way the friendship one did (becoming activated by travel), but I would imagine it is a part of the same glitch. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hello @caitybee73. I am glad that your friendships are working again

I am sorry though that you are having problems with getting your sims to be disliked. There has been another simmer that has reported this too.

Hello. I am sorry that you are continuing to have this issue after the update. I hope that it can fixed for you soon. There is another thread with workarounds that may perhaps help.

I am sorry that you are having the same issue. I hope that it can be fixed for you very soon. Try testing in other households in your same game file and see if the same issues are occurring. Also perhaps start a new save game file and test to see if the issue occurs in that game as well.

Try removing any cc/mods that you have and see if that helps. Also, when you started the new family, was it within the save game file? If it was, start a new save game file and see if the issue is still there.

Hi @rosemow, I have this "acquaintances" problem too. I don't use any mods or cc and have updated with the latest patch.

When you say new game file, do you mean a fresh game or a "save as" game file. I only play one game with all my households, I do "save as" every time I switch households. I really hope my 11 month old game file isn't always going to have this relationship problem.

Hello @joleaco.
Try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Start a new game and test to see if the acquaintances problem still occurs in this new game. Exit the game and then add back the "options.ini" file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders, testing after replacing each one to see how the game is working.
By doing this, it can fix up glitches, and also it tests to see if the issue affects a fresh new game as well, because you are testing before you bring back your other folders.
