Hello.
When simmers recolour an item, the recolour can be either " default replacement " or "non default". A default replacement replaces the EA version in the game, whilst non default adds an extra entry. It is an extra item in addition to the EA item.
If you remove the default replacement, the EA version appears back in your game.
To add to rosemow’s explanation: Normally when people call something a “recolour”, it will be a “non default” in rosemow’s terms (so it will not replace the original). Default replacements are also often called overrides, that’s the same thing (it will replace the original). Usually when people upload those, they will point that out so when there is no additional info, you can assume it’s not overriding/replacing anything.
