For a while, I've had the idea of clearing out most of the pre-made sims in all the towns and traveling destinations and replacing them with sims with real stories behind them.

The problem is, it would take forever to do that to just one world, much less all of them. So I'm hoping that you guys might want to help.

Details that should be included:

Name:
Which world are they from?
Where do they live now?

Feel free to make more than one household. :)

List of all the sims:

@ciane introduced us to the Hendersons

@AlphaFen brought George Prattle-Grace in to meet the rest of us

Delilah and Lola Numbers - twin half-genie sisters

The Stepps - Tom & Betty and their children, Nellie, James, and Austin

@blacksheba1973 created the wonderful Dixie Lang who lives in Riverview

@gnlovew created the gorgeous Jase Cheek who now resides in Midnight Hollow

Louie Armstrong

@gnlovew created the beautiful fairy family, Cassie and Christian Symter and their twins, Wallace and William.

Others:

@HBSIMSTER created Yiska Fairies of Southwest. I loved their story, especially the story for Trella Yiska. ;)

@AlphaFen created the fabulous Lamonts. Here is their story.

The worlds so far:
Roaring Heights

Midnight Hollow
Jase Cheek

Dragon Valley
Delilah and Lola Numbers

Aurora Skies
The Stepps
Cassie and Christian Symter and their twins, Wallace and William

Monte Vista

Sunlit Tides

Lucky Palms

Lunar Lakes

Hidden Springs

Barnacle Bay

Riverview
Dixie Lang
Louie Armstrong

Pleasant Valley

Twinbrook

Appaloosa Plains

Starlight Shores

Moonlight Falls

Isla Paradiso

Champs Les Sims

Shang Simla

Al Simhara

University

Oasis Landing

Any world
Hendersons
George Prattle-Grace

If you're feeling stuck, here are some ideas to help develop their background (most taken from StoryCorps ideas for getting others to tell you their stories - check out their site):

What makes your sim laugh?
What was an important lesson your sim learned? How did it change their life?
Describe one of your sim's happiest memories.
Describe one of your sim's saddest memories.
What does your sim consider as one of their greatest accomplishments?
Does your sim have any regrets?
Where is your sim's family from? What memories do they have of their parents? Grandparents?
What is the worst thing your sim ever did?
Does your sim have a nickname? How did they get it?

If you just like to create sims and skip the story, here are a few that I would love to add to my game:

I have the twins, Delilah (don't call her Deli unless you want to get her dander up) and Lola. I'd love to have their parents.

Their dad was a time-traveling genie (ala Robin Williams in Aladdin). Their mom, Barbara (sister of Betty Stepp), was putting herself through the community college by working on her dad's fishing boat. She was helping him drag a net full of fish back into the boat when they found the lamp, which had gotten tangled in the loops of the net. As the bottom of the boat filled with thrashing fish, Barb sat and patiently separated the net and lamp, then sat the lamp aside to help cast the net out once more. She didn't consider it again until her dad handed it to her as they went into their house that evening, saying, "Maybe it's lucky."

For the genie, it was love at first sight. Barbara is a dark-haired beauty with high cheekbones that speaks of some native American heritage in her family tree. Barb wasn't too sure about the blue man at first, but he had all the time in the world to woo her and pursued her tirelessly, bringing gifts from all over: Oranges still clinging to the branch, wild orchids fresh with the dew, honeysuckle vines that smelled heavenly. Barb's family didn't have much, and the genie knew they were proud people and wouldn't accept expensive gifts, so he kept his love offerings limited to small gifts that he knew she wouldn't refuse.

And then there are the uncles. They are the great uncles of Delilah and Lola and Nellie, James, and Austin. They are a bit unbalanced, not dangerous though, but maybe a little unstable and very eccentric. They both love children and the children all love them as well. James (little James is named after his great uncle) was in the service for years and retired just a few years ago. Now he is loving his freedom and the fact that he doesn't have to conform to anyone's standards (maybe similar to Uncle Si from Duck Dynasty although the description is actually about one of my favorite uncles growing up).

Dell went into the service with his brother, but ended up taking a medical retirement after (he claims), the army decided to perform experiments on him using various potions. He spent a couple years in a padded room, but was released after they determined that he wasn't a threat to anyone.

Now, his greatest pleasure in life is taking the nieces and nephews out to the candy store and spending all his retirement pay on them. He won't let them leave until their bags of candy are overflowing - enough candy to keep the children bouncing off the walls for weeks and make their parents pull their hair out.

And the aunts. These are part of Tom Stepp's family. Made of strong mountain stock, these ladies live up in the high mountains and it's only recently that the road has been good enough to allow them to travel at all. Aunt Tiny does not live up to her name. If you ask, she'll laugh and tell you that she was so small when she was little that she could fit into her father's coat pocket but one day she started growing and she never stopped. Tiny might be her nickname, but if she ever had another name, no one can remember, not even her.

Aunt Eppie is her sister or cousin or sister-in-law...relationship titles dim with the passing of time and all that's left is the true friendship and the knowledge that somewhere there is a family connection. As big as Aunt Tiny is, Aunt Eppie is thin. So thin that if there's a strong wind blowing, you might worry that she'll blow away. Tiny is the life of the party, Eppie is quiet. Tiny loves to cook and garden, Eppie loves to do crafts and sew. Both enjoy fishing at the creek that runs near their house. Both appear to young eyes as though they're as old as the hills that surround them.

And finally, I would like your permission to use the sim occasionally in my stories, both here on the forums and on my blog, Exploring ESO, where I do my story layouts (and occasionally publish them).

If I'm free this weekend and can get my game open, I may make something. I do have a sim in progress in CAS currently. I started her last month, but haven't figured out just what is to become of her yet.

Here you go. Meet the Hendersons!
    http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=8631790
    original.jpg

This back story was actually provided by emiie10 in her current house-building contest:

The Henderson family are very well-known and respected. They enjoy the finer things in life and love travelling to France where they plan to buy a holiday home some day.

Although there are children in the home, you wouldn't tell unless you stumbled upon the playroom. The house is unusually neat for having two young children living there as the mom is extremely house proud.

The dad is in the business career, loves sports, and is a very hard-working man who loves to provide his family with what they need. He dotes on his wife and twin daughters.

The mom is currently a nurse, but is taking time off to care for their soon-to-arrive baby. They're hoping for a boy this time! She is family-oriented and loves her children dearly. She also loves cooking and gardening in her spare time.

Sophie & Mia are twin toddlers who are very much a-like. They love horses, ballet, and all things rose pink.

Family pets include a mated pair of Dobermans, a spoiled rotten female white indoor Persian cat, a guinea pig, and a gorgeous black stallion with white stockings and a star on his forehead.

So, what else can I say? Dylan and his wife have done a terrific job training their little girls in the basic toddler skills thanks to the wonders of modern inventions such as playpens and walkers. ;) And, just in time too, as another little Henderson is one the way.

Will the habit of eating an apple a day lead to another healthy, happy little Henderson? And will Dylan get the son he longs for? (He does love the ladies in his life and will be tickled pink with another, of course; BUT... a son would be awesome, you know?)

Will they get that vacation home in France while the kids are still young or will it have to wait until retirement?

Will the Dobermans have any pups or will they be content to just take care of the other little ones in the house?

Will Bianca, the spoiled Persian, ever venture outside the family lot?

Will Maverick, the black stallion, win any races?

Only YOU can continue the story.

Your simversions of the Hendersons are very nice! @ciane :) It is great how you have taken the descriptive and nice background family details that emiie10 has written about her sims family, and have created how you imagine them to look like as sims. It will be a fun household to play in the game! :)

I have a Sim for you this is George Prattle-Grace

Born and raised in a happy, respectable and wealthy home in Bridgeport with his big sister Angela by stay at home mum Seraphina and her wife professional "businesses woman" (career criminal ;) ) Melanie. Melanie's job was always kept hidden from her family but George picked up from an early age the sense of being above the law, he has never really thought rules applied to him and the families wealth encouraged this.

He has begun to find his home town of Bridgeport getting a little dull :/ You would think his bear fight would be exciting or his cool pent house would be enough to make him stay but sadly no :pensive: He wants to take his new vampire powers and see the world! He is a freelance journalist he loves trying new jobs and experiences so he can write up articles for magazines. His hobbies include his book club, exploring the mausoleum and finding trouble. He has only had one not very serious romance which was with his nephews ex-wife that started the day the divorce became official. It was hushed up by the family to avoid scandal but rumours have swirled as to whether the affair started earlier :o

Point being with his insane trait and low boredom threshold he will liven up any town!

Is that ok? I'll change add or remove is you wish :)

    Thank you, @AlphaFen, he's perfect!

I use Twallan's NRAAS mods. Story Progression is wonderful, but it gives you updates on all the townies, and because there's really not much backstory to them, it gets rather boring. So be as creative as you want and I'll have fun seeing their adventures even when I'm not interacting with them. :)

I've been meaning to share the two (well, really 2.5) families that I currently have in my game. I share their adventures on my thank you thread as well. :)

    Meet Delilah and Lola Numbers.

    original.jpg

Twins and best friends born 2 minutes apart, they look alike, but sometimes it seems like they couldn't be more different. Lola (named after one of her mom's favorite songs) loves adventuring. Her dream is to travel and see the entire world, past, present, and future (and max her visa while she's at it). She has no desire for a relationship right now, she's too busy having fun and seeing the sights.

Delilah (named after an old friend of her dad's) loves anything old fashioned or romantic, and both at once is even better. She loves to frequent the consignment stores and auctions, looking for period clothing or furniture or anything else. She loves to daydream and often writes her dreams out as stories. Maybe one day she'll become a well-known author, but right now her sister is her main reader. Deli's dream ("Don't call me Deli!!!") is to have a large family, and she already has Prince Charming picked out, although he doesn't it yet.

Lola loves teasing her sister and gave her the nickname Deli when they were little. She still uses it anytime she wants to tease, because Delilah HATES being called Deli. Still, even with all the teasing, they are inseparable and Lola manages to convince Delilah to come along on every adventure she goes on by tempting her with the idea of exploring ancient ruins and old buildings. Lola even convinced Delilah to move to Dragon Valley with her by showing her pictures of the Cantersim Cathedral and hinting that it would be a great place for a wedding.

Edit: I have to share this. Look at what Delilah's first wish was when I started playing her. I thought this was funny. :)

    Meet the Stepps.

    original.jpg

Tom Stepp had already had a lifetime of adventures before he settled down to become a business man. Betty, his new secretary, caught his eye, and it wasn't too much later that they were married. Tom took Betty to the mountains, where he was from, to meet his family, and Betty took Tom to the coast to meet hers.

Betty had always dreamed of having a house full of children, but alas, the years passed and no children were forthcoming. Tom, a quiet man who was happy with his books and work (although he did enjoy playing the guitar on occasion), was content with the life they had, but he and Betty were both ecstatic when they found out a little one was on the way. Nellie discovered books early, and learned to read before she could talk well (Betty claimed she taught Nellie to read so that she could have time to do something besides read to her constantly). Happiness for Nellie is a new book and a comfy chair (where she might be found hanging upside down with her feet on the headrest and her head dangling over the floor, so caught up in the world of her book that she doesn't notice anything else going on around her).

But then, everything changed when James was born. James needs his big sister's attention and she is often too lost in her own worlds to give it to him, which is the main cause of contention between them.

Even at a young age, James is ambitious. He has a drive to succeed at anything he tries, no matter what it takes. He came home one day and shared a story that illustrates a lot about his personality: The teacher had all of the class running a race. James was the second fastest, but he was determined to win the race. Since it had been raining for a few days, there were puddles all around. So James shouts to the girl who is beating him, "Hey, stick your foot in that puddle to see how deep it is." While the girl goes to do what he said, he runs ahead of her and wins.

A few years later, Austin is born. Nellie claims Austin is her baby, and for once she is willing to put down her books to play, which doesn't make James happy with either of them.

With three children, the apartment the Stepps had been living in before isn't big enough, so the family moves to Aurora Skies to find a home with space to play and grow. Betty would love to have more children, but Tom feels that three is enough, so Betty busies herself with collecting cookbooks and learning recipes. Her dream now is to learn every recipe she can find.

Only seeing this now. Looks interesting.
Most of the families I use in my game have backstories, they need to have a good story. I rarely use the townies as there's not enough going on with them.
I have Lunar Lakes and play in it a lot so most of the families are from there. They're not limited to being there though and they're not all from there. I'll try get a moment to share some of them with you soon :)

    Name: Dixie Lang
Which world are they from? Settled originally in Lucky Palms
Where do they live now? Riverview

Bio: Dixie Lang is a young woman that's still finding her way in the world. She settled in Lucky Palms briefly, but it wasn't her type of scene. She did make some income from the casino, however, and has relocated to Riverview. Now that she's found a nice place to settle, will she be able to lasso her cowboy and start her family? Most prospective males seem to be taken in these parts. Will Dixie get lucky and, eventually, get the family she's dreamed of or will she be on the move yet again?

    Link: http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=8640624

Dixie is a native of Lucky Palms. She has recently moved away from her parents' home and decided to settle down in Lucky Palms to establish herself. Dixie's always dreamed of having a large family of her own and a large lawn with lush, green grass and a prosperous garden. She's never loved the desolate landscape in Lucky Palms. Dixie decided to take her life savings and gamble them at the town casino in hopes of a better future. Luckily, luck was on her side and she walked away with more than a $20,000 profit. She packed her things up and arranged to be be relocated into Riverview as soon as possible. Currently, Dixie reside on an inexpensive piece of property and has already planted a garden. She's now skilled in cooking, gardening, and fishing. These extra skills should bring in some much needed income. Dixie haven't met the man of her dreams yet, but she hasn't given up hope yet. While there have been prospects, none of them seem to match just exactly what she's searching for. Are her expectations too high or will she have to settle for what she can get after all?

**She has a large file size, because she has skills as well as various, fish, plants, and rare seeds in her inventory. I'm fairly certain that I did not use anything from the Master Suite SP.

@Rockleyfamily, I just recently got Lunar Lakes and actually haven't played with it yet. MMOA gave me a price I couldn't pass up, but I've been so busy with building that I haven't even peeked into it yet.

The backstories make or break the game for me. Until I have a family or two with a good story around them, I find it's hard to settle down and play. And then, when I do have a good story going, I tend not to want to marry them or do too much with the townies because there's no story behind them (I know I"m probably funny). So I am really, really excited about adding all of these and having a town full of real-er sims.

@Aaronsims was asking earlier, on another thread, about sims with no CC and I realized that I never even asked about whether any of the ones posted so far do. If any one wants to know, my families don't, I only have a couple items that are CC and they're more for convenience when I'm playing (like the shelf with many, many holes to put items on) and not things I use when building or creating.

Thanks hon. I'm much the same way myself with sims and backstories. I like to create a little scenario and play it out in my game. I hope that you enjoy Lunar Lakes. I opened it once and that was about it.
