    Unowned retail shops

    Hey, I have a question. I tried downloading a couple of retail shops and I put them in my game. I did not want to own them, I just wanted the npc's to run them. I thought the Guru's said they could. I made sure it was set as retail and it had a cash register, but when I went to visit the shops, no one was there. Am I doing something wrong? How do I make it so my townies would run the store?

      If the creator did not set things for sale on the lot before uploading it, it won't work. You will have to have a sim buy the store, then you will set things for sale, then you can sell the store and it will function like an NPC store.

      This process of setting up NPc run stores is a pain. In my case I always have to quit the game and repair the game before the NPc store will work :(
