Ridiculous. GTW is not even out yet and some people are already discontent. Seriously...
Not necessarily. I was disappointed with TS4 almost immediately after it was announced and six months after released, my disappointment has not abated one bit.
I find that ridiculous.
I rest my case.
Lol. There's really no point in exhausting yourself to change their mind. Let them be upset and vent a bit. I already went through that stage of grief. Now I find the Sims 4 enjoyable. I agree it needs more content and it scuks we have to pay for the extra stuff but hey...what do you expect? Welcome to Capitalism. EA is an American company. Who's priorities are maintaining a +0.80/day NASDAQ.
Regardless EA will get their money in the end and they know it. It's business. In the next year or so they will pop out a either a City/Generations EP and all these disappointed people scrounging the forums will fork out the $$$ to buy it. Even those who claim they haven't bought the base game yet will fork out the $60 to $70+ (Because EA will raise the base game price again in lieu of news of an anticipated EP) to buy the game.
So you settled for what you got? Good for you. I'm harder to please and expect more.
I settle for something I already bought and can't return.

This. I expected more from the sequel to Sims 2 and 3, not some watered down version that was a cash grab because they knew people would buy it since it had the name Sims 4 on it. If EA wants to ruin the Sim series they can go ahead I will find other games to play, or just play Sims 2 and 3 which are actual great games, and pass on Sims 4.

I bought it, I'm stuck with it but that doesn't mean that those two facts are going to make me accept a less than well done game. Like I said maybe I expect more than you.

Nope, not everyone.
One should never assume to know what another will do or think.
(we all know that joke about assuming)...
I will either buy it only at a discount, or not at all.
I refuse to "be led" by anything, or speak for others.
Even when my husband and sons offered to buy it for me, I waited til I got a huge sale/discount on base game.
Same will go for the rest. My opinion of the game hasn't changed much since I first saw the previews and peeks a couple yrs ago.

What's it to you? Buy it if you enjoy it.
?! I haven't played yet how do I know if I enjoy it ?!
With all due respect, it's quite easy to know you are not going to like something long before experiencing it. People who don't like free falls, can say with a fair amount of certainty that they will not enjoy sky diving. Vegans can certainly ascertain that they would not enjoy wearing a fur coat, and I can assure that there are people who can look at this trailer, and KNOW that this expansion would not be enjoyable for them.
For me the most difficult expansion in TS3 to fully utilize was the Ambitions expansion. The new professions were entertaining for the most part. I particularly enjoyed the firefighting and ghost hunting professions. However playing those professions was very demanding. Firefighters had to stay at the fire house for the better part of the day until level ten. You couldn't just leave them until after the inevitable fire alarm rang, or you would loose precious time. Ghost hunters would automatically capture the early ghosts, but once you started having to exorcise spirits, that changed drastically. Having a Sim in a profession, as well as a full household was difficult enough with the ability to swap back and forth via the open world. I can't imagine how complicated and frustrating this would be when loading screens are thrown into the mix. I don't like having to focus only on a single sim when playing my game. From what I can see, that is exactly what is expected in the GTW expansion. In short I can look at that expansion, and know it isn't something I would like. I don't know why that would be hard for you to believe. I like to consider myself fairly informed when it comes to what I do and don't find appealing. If it appeals to you then that's fantastic, but you shouldn't discount someones opinion just because you cant see or understand how it was formed.

Ditto. For the first time in fifteen years I havent bought any of the extra content for TS4. They got enough out of me for an unplayable *for me* base game, there isn't a chance they will get more unless I see much, much better from EA. I couldn't have been more loyal to them as a customer-fifteen years of preorders and guaranteed revenue.
Its about time they showed appreciation for those of us who also invested obscene amounts of money in the sims over the years and were part of the reason they had a budget for a sims game.
Telling us to be patient because they released an unfinished base game due to self imposed time restraints but then releasing further paid for content doesn't show they appreciate those of us they threw out with the savage cuts to the base. Its created a 'haves' and 'have nots' situation where some customers are valued more than others. That is bound to cause issues.

The only thing I dislike about sims 4 honestly is getting my hopes up. I gave my majority of hopes to sims 4 and they used a big ol hammer just boom boom boom crushed all of them to where I'm afraid of sending more hopes out to it
