Price reducement inbound "Soon"

So according to a FB response post i made to the Sims page, looks like the Gamepack may be reduced a bit more and hopefully to the $20 it was suppose to.

I guess if we kick up enough stink again we can make it happen

    Interesting.

I'm not paying $40 for it so EA can either accept a reasonable amount of my money from me or none at all, their choice.

Same with @Haylzies, I'm willing to pay about $20 but not $40 for crying out loud. And definitely not $50 which was beyond ridiculous.

I'll believe it when i see it unless you have a source. I don't have any faith in EA after all.

doubt it. With a 5$ tax the only extra they're adding is around 0.50$.

Unless of course your country is poorer than America and it would make sense for a company to make less profit off you.

$30 for Australia but not for us, if it dropped to $30NZ to be in line with Aus pricing I'd be happy to pay it.

I'm actually not buying this until I see it for $30 or less. I just hope it won't take a year.

It maybe that price where you are in the States but the issue we have been discussing here is how outrageously fans in Australia and New Zealand have been overcharged. Before it was released the talk was about how it would be the same price as a Sims 3 stuff pack. When I connected to Origin yesterday I expected it to be release day price of a Sims 3 Stuff pack in my country which was $29.99 on Origin. Instead the price was $49.99 which was 66% higher than I expected. Australian price was $39.95 and they weren't happy either.

After protests EA reduced the price for each country by $10 dollars claiming the initial price was the result of a "network error". This made the price for New Zealand $39.99, the same price that the Aussies were protesting about we still think it is too high.

Yeah and it wont change from that unless it goes on sale and i'm not letting myself be price gouged because of where i live, so no money for EA.

NZ/AUS simmers. I know how eager some of you Sims4 fans are when it comes to playing the new additions for it, but don't be ripped off and "hope for a refund". If you buy it they will be in the mindset of "they will pay for it" and you'll be seeing this happen more than once, and maybe next time 50 bucks for a game pack will be permanent for you guys. Don't give in!

Trust me, I won't give in. I can be pretty stubborn when I want to be. ;)

I wish they lower the price in Euros also. 20 US Dollars is not the same as 20 Euros... and that's what they are charging in Portugal...
