Sorry @Sweet2, I meant to tell them that it applied for Sales too by replacing the DD price with Sales price. I explained that they had the wrong CYS price, but was trying to go ahead and explain that part of the math. I'm not very good at working backwards, which is why I couldn't figure the original CYS price not influenced by the Sale. Though looking back now, I can see how what I said could be confusing.
I've not been shopping recently so I'm not sure what they have. The last time I was working, they had Halloween out in August.
I am also used to summer vacation, but I know that other places have different school schedules. I had a penpal from Australia once that said they had year-round school. He said that after two month they would get a month off. Or something like that its been awhile so I really don't recall. It sounds like a good deal to me though. I would have thought that back in the day, but I guess I'm not surprised that school would have started would have started in April. Remember how important the harvest was. If they didn't get all the crop before the frost it meant no food or money for winter.
I'm having a huge "What the Plum?" moment. Okay, so I'm in the UTC-6 time zone. I remember looking last night looking at the DD last night and setting alarms for the World of Wonder Carousel Collection and the Once Upon a Time Cottage-Quaint Cottage Window. Alex woke up 5-ish, and after I put him in bed I swear I stayed up reading long enough to get the WoW. I got it and figured I would I wake up in time to get the window if I slept for another couple of hours. Got up this morning and saw that I missed. I'm seeing that my timeline doesn't match up to my timezone, but I swear that was the time I saw. I must have been extremely tired, but now I'm just peeved that I missed the window. I've been trying to work towards Make a Wish Compilation and every bit counts.
I want to get the Barrier to Entry, but I was wondering if it might be cheaper letter. Should I just go ahead and get it?
Thank you @notthecar for the 2 gifts towards LLL. I didn't get a green download for the set. It ended up being 215 points. Had to make a quick decision on to buy it now or wait and get Hot Summer Days. I went ahead and bought LLL. Now I hope I can find ads and get Everyday-Hot Summer Days tuesday.

Hello everyone! Die-hard-lurker here, and I have finally come across a question that has me curious enough to post on the forums. (Not that you don't all sound wonderful and lovely, I've been watching this thread and those previous to it long enough to see that. Please don't be creeped out.)
Anyhow, here's my question;
Has anyone every received an MMAO containing the current DD with a higher percentage discount than normal?
I ask because I just looked at my MMAOs for the day and one of them contained LLL, coupled with a few single items, at 74% off. I haven't seen a discount like that for months, the 3x promotion was the last time I ever got offered something like that. Granted it wasn't worth it for me, I have enough of the LLL set that I'll pick it up when it comes around the second time at the highest discount. I'm just really curious to know if it's MMAO that is changing or if this happened to someone before and I've just missed it.
Since I've broken my silence I should probably add huge thank yous to the hosters of this and previous DD threads as well as Jodi and her wonderful crew working tirelessly on the spreadsheet. You guys really don't get all the credit and thanks you deserve, I know I'm not the only lurker out there who hasn't offered their thanks yet.

If more than one person claims a set, it will be awarded to the one who owns the least amount of the set (just post the percent you own). If there are any ties, we will use a random number generator to decide the winner. We will start giving out the prizes, sometime after midnight PST tonight (which will be January 11th).
As for the Chocolate Fountain, it is a rather easy fix for CS to do, although most often they do not understand why you need something marked as owned that you can use in game. If you do a screen shot of the item in your purchase history (showing it as owned) and another screen shot of the item page: Aims Co. Choc-O-Falls Fountain (make sure that the set it belongs to is visible, as well as the price), then you can explain that you need the item marked as owned for it to help with your cys (perhaps say, "Complete Your Set Discount" for clarity) for Le Cirque Celebration!. If they tell you that it will show up within 24 hours, most often they will just give another code toward the one that came from the Worlds Bundle, which is the same that you already own (I know this, because I have Date Night from the Origin Humble Bundle, and it took Nathan and I months to finally get through to them that we were literally buying piece by piece what we already owned). CS might ask to go into your account, and if you allow that (they do not ask for passwords, but may ask for your full name, email, birth date, and/or answers to one or more of your security questions - all to ensure that it is you), they may just purchase the item from within (don't worry, not using your sp) or they will just tack onto your account the sp needed to buy it yourself. Because of awesome offers in mmao (I just couldn't refuse - btw, it is also a very good practice to screen shot every mmao offer before purchasing, because your purchase history does not show the price you paid) and another generous simmer gifting me an item, CS did award me the sp to purchase the set and extra sp, above the amount spent (I now own the true "Date Night" and Nathan does too). Hope that helps others how to get things marked as owned!
There are other CS tips that allowed us to get Worlds marked as owned for the Gold, when we owned the venue + the standard, the non cys sets (which on more than one occasion we were told that all sets would be cys enabled, even going as far to say that it would be within a couple of days) that we owned all items, the JPC set (which are just recolored single items, not part of any set), duplicate purchases (although that happened more often when the items were fast sell outs), the store glitching during a purchase (again most during the fast sell outs), and if the site was inaccessible at the time an item is on the current dd, disabling the ability to purchase (Good ol' Liam). Nathan and I will be piecing that together for a future post, but if anyone has any questions before then, just message either of us, and we will be happy to give you some pointers that may save you some time with CS. Also, do not be afraid to ask for some type of compensation for the aggravation and time spent dealing with CS (especially when they make promises that they have not kept). We were able to get extra sp, discount coupons, an EP, a SP, an EP exclusive, and many offers for other Origin games (although we declined, because accepting those meant to give up what we asked for from CS to begin with). You have to remember that CS (mainly live chat) workers rarely even know all the different EA games, let alone the Sims games (most do not speak in our native tongues either). However, patience and persistence are key (that is the best tip)! Oh, and save every CS chat (if using the live chat feature), and those that have treated you poorly or awesomely, make sure before you say your "goodbyes" to ask them to allow you to make additional comments on their feedback page, where you can also rate helpfulness or report a hostile CS advisor.

Sunlit Tides is offered once on the DD list at Deal 972. The DD Spreadsheet's Current Rotation sheet lists the deals for this, which is the second rotation, and the third rotation of the list. This sheet estimates the time the deals will come up based on information from the first rotation. Sunlit Tides is estimated to appear on March 4th or 5th depending in which time zone you live. There are links on the Welcome page that open to tutorials for the spreadsheet.

The DD team includes all the Simmers who have contributed to the DD thread, which includes the DD thread hosts, all the people who have posted deals, all those who provide advice about the store and the game, the people who have laid out how CYS works and have provided calculators, the people who maintain our sister forum, the group of people who have entered data on the spreadsheet and those who have double and triple checked the spreadsheet and page 1 entries. This is definitely a team effort and we all do it to help our fellow Simmers get the most for their simpoints.

After logging in to play the game last night (for probably an hour then I feel asleep. ) my account did the log in error thing again, and had to change my password again this morning in order to log in to the site. I thought maybe it's not related to the game, but happens when I close my browser since I always close the browser when I play. So I closed and restarted chrome but I was still logged in fine so that doesn't seem to be it. I will go a while without logging in to the game and see if it happens again or if that really was the trigger.
I managed to get Go All In for free yesterday, after having missed it at Christmas, so can now go ahead building Lucky Palms with the Casino, Arcade and build a resort (base camp), so it can be used with nraas Travellor mod as a vacation world for my lil sim to visit. <br /><br />
Travellor Mod? What? Traveling is one of my favorite things to do! Could you give me the link to the download?

After logging in to play the game last night (for probably an hour then I feel asleep. ) my account did the log in error thing again, and had to change my password again this morning in order to log in to the site. I thought maybe it's not related to the game, but happens when I close my browser since I always close the browser when I play. So I closed and restarted chrome but I was still logged in fine so that doesn't seem to be it. I will go a while without logging in to the game and see if it happens again or if that really was the trigger.

This may be entirely unrelated but a couple of years ago I had a very frustrating time with unrecognised passwords and failed logins and after many days cursing EA I realised the problem was with me! As I say, this might not be what's happening to you but just in case ...
Do you have any saved/automatic logins on either the website, Origin, or the launcher? I had changed my password on, I think, Origin and logged in to the game OK, and was able to use the website without problem but when I went back to the game the next day, or tried to login to Origin, my details were rejected even though the website was still working fine.
What was happening was that I had my website login saved so it logged me in automatically when I opened the browser and because I had not changed that password it somehow flagged my account and blocked or reset my new password on the launcher. I eventually cottoned on, reset all the passwords so that I knew they were the same and logged out of everything and went back in. It's been fine ever since.
Since then I have similar issues with passwords at work and now hardly ever have any logins saved and automated so that it never tries to use an old password unexpectedly.
I am feeling a little guilty that I haven't let my Sims have much fun recently - it's all childcare and working at the moment
I wanted to give them somewhere special to go, the sort of place I love to go, but couldn't find anywhere I really liked in the usual places so I've decided to build it myself; only to realise that I haven't built anything for over a year!!
Anyway, it's nearly finished and almost ready to show it off, and I wanted to share a little teaser photo with you guys:

Yay!! Green download for LLL! Woot!Woot! According to the calculator and using the sale price instead of the full price I was only -35 so thankfully no one gifted me unnecessarily, phew! I feel so much better now.

The alarm woke me up at the crack of dawn even though it was still dark outside but i got WOW. I dozed off till the sun woke me up a bit after LLL came up. I"m glad you got it @wittanthny1 I kept this page open on my tablet in case anyone needed collection help and send as many gifts as i came across.
Now i'm officially up and decided to pass on Futureshock, my cost was 580 which is still pretty high so hopefully some items will come up on sale or DD to drop my costs. After i get so work done im going to revamp my boardwalk.
