How to start a fire in The Sims 4?

I have decided to get rid of the sims in willow creek and Oasis springs and make a cemetery out of them by setting them all on fire. I am starting with Babs L'Amour , Ollie Perdue and his sister , Justine and Marty Keaton , The Samoan Surfer Dude , Andre Desilva , and June Kay. But setting them on fire is proving difficult.

Any suggestions?

I've only had one fire and that was with the children's chemistry set. It was completely random. Intentionally setting a fire, without cheats, has been impossible with cooking. I keep waiting and waiting. Good luck to ya!

easy :) my favorite way is to build a room around the sim, let it be a stand alone room away from the house with no doors or just make a room outside and then remove the doors after the sim enters and place a fireplace in the room with a chair and rug touching the fire place turn it on and wait for the show

    I decided to remodel.

Not as exciting as a huge house going up in flames , but it may be more effective.

UPDATE: Samoan Surfer Dude , June Kay , and Marty Keaton are all dead. I think their urns are burning in the fire , because I don't see them.

I've had things on top of the fireplace catch on fire by the.... fireplace (I placed some neat vases on top of it and it was on fire! How?!). Put a rag right under the fireplace and it will surely burn.

I made my Sim a leisure/comfy room w/ a fireplace, the rug caught on fire, then the couch where my SIm was napping on, then the Sim himself.

I never even thought of a fireplace because I never put them in my game.

But on topic of your manacle plans: Hell yeah! Awesome.

Cassidy Perdue was the last Sim to die by fire ; and now the whole lot is sooty and there are three trash plants growing. :D

Any time I have a party with guests (weenie roast) someone usually manages to catch on fire. I haven't yet intentionally tried to roast someone :p

How have you guys got this trick to work? My sim is currently in a room barely big enough for him to move around with no windows or doors and a fire place which is lit with a rug underneath it and got nothing yet
