A question about adding mods the correct way?

I know how to add mods when it comes to TS2 and TS3, but from what I'm reading it is a bit different for TS4. I have found 5 mods that I would love to add to my game. Some of them are saying that I need to extract (zipped files) the files and place them, and others are saying leave the zipped file and just place it in. This is leaving me a bit confused, and I don't want to mess up.

The instructions are specific to the Mod you are planning to use. Some need to be left as a zip and some need to be extracted.

Just follow the instructions that come with each of the mods because they refer to that particular mod. I hope that you are having fun simming and that the mods that you have are helpful in your game. Happy simming

So far I added and play tested the one that gets rid of the relationship requirements to progress up the career. This was one thing I thought TS3 did correctly. After my sim works on their skills, family, personal needs, and home life there is not any time left to try to build up and to retain the number of friends it is asking for.
