My newest build is loosely based on the 2009 Dream Home. I tried with windows similar to theirs and it looked too plain with our color choices, so I gave the windows shutters and painted the doors red.
I guess for a while (if not longer) we will be experiencing problems with the new game. During this build I discovered that some of the items we make "bigger" will revert to their original size sometimes... Very disappointing.
I made this "natural pond" by adding bigger rocks and while testing out the lot, I noticed that sometimes when I placed it, the rocks had disappeared. Other times, only some were there and sometimes, all were in place. Very strange. I hope it's something they fix soon with a patch. Why offer us that option, if it isn't going to stick?
The backyard is all set up for a pool once we get that patch:
Here's that pond I was talking about earlier:
The veg and fruit garden is all set up with raised planter boxes. At first I didn't realize that it wouldn't upload with the items we plant, so I spent a long time trying to get good quality plants, only to realize that no one else would be able to have them.
Birds eye view:
Entryway into home. Living room straight ahead open to Kitchen with nook located to the right. Music room and Study on the left of the hall and to the right is the dining room and little tea room for the ladies:

Dining room with a peek at the tea room beyond:
Study and Music Rooms:
Master En suite:
Playroom for the little simmies in the upstairs landing:
Boys room:
Girls room:
And finally, the Nursery with entrances from both the hall and from the Master bedroom. One note is that I did put a bassinet in there, but it too disappears when uploaded...
So that's it! Thank you for stopping in for a look

It is a very nice home !
Lovely homes, beautifully designed inside and out. The exterior of New Beginnings is so charming and original. Coastal Living is very much like a beach home, love the siding color and the stairs up to the 2nd floor entrance. Your version of the dream home that year is gorgeous! the landscaping and exterior. Your bathroom counter idea is genius, elegant and gives that "custom" cabinetry feel. Fav'd and following!
@wrathofcath - I really like your latest build! I can definitely see this one be used in someone's sim family blog. Also, I love your pond! Did the rocks stay after reloading the lot or do they get kicked out due to object collision?

Anyway I called this one "Wildflower Farm"
It's a lovely build, Cath! Great work on both the exterior and interior, but I especially love your interiors. Your color schemes work really well.
Regarding the enlarged objects, they will typically only revert when you place the lot from Manage Worlds. If you place it when you are in build mode on a lot, all of the enlarged objects should retain their size. As far as re-sized objects causing disappearances, yes, it happens when you inadvertently overlap them with other objects. It can be tough to notice, but with most objects, when you size them up, their collision box sizes up too, and in many cases, it is exponential. You won't see a problem at the time, but the next time you load the lot, objects that they overlap will be gone. It can be tough, especially with wall objects, to gauge what will work, as sometimes, you *can* get away with some overlap. In the Build Mode Feedback thread, I have requested that EA reduce or eliminate the collision boxes, or at least prevent them from sizing up, especially when it comes to non-interactive objects.
The pictures of your homes are looking fabulous Cath - but I can only advise people to check out your builds in game!! They are absolutely AWESOME!!!! Big Hugs x
P.S.: ... and that goes for all your TS4 and TS3 creations!!
WOWZA Cath! I am in love with your farm! Such perfect architecture, lovely garden and stunning interiors! If I haven't added this to my favourites yet, then I will be doing it shortly! When I visit the gallery. Great job!
@Rosemow, you are the best! Thank you once again, for your kind, lovely words!
@BreeMiles, thank you! , @lazoug, thank you and steal away, lol! , @Chri2fer03, thank you so much for those wonderful words! As far as cabinetry goes, I think you've got that over me, for sure!
@Ash072, thank you! And sadly, no, the rocks didn't stay... I didn't know about the collision thing. I hope it's something that can be fixed in the future.
@BryonyRae, thank you Bry, for both the compliment and the explanation. I had no idea they wouldn't transfer... Funny thing is, I noticed it with a shrub in my 1st build. It's in the front yard with nothing else around it, yet it shrank to original too. It was after I placed the lot a couple of times, so I don't know if that had anything to do with it or not.
@Tiki5872, thank you! , @Snowmoon, thanks Snow, I didn't know about that. @MrGodard, thank you for the lovely comment!
@Hidehi, thank you for both your very kind comments and even more for being such a loving and sweet friend!
@yanti68, thank you for always being so supportive and such a good friend!
@Manssom, thank you! I hope it's being Cath-ish, is a "good thing" as Martha Stewart is fond of saying, lol!
@evclm6, thank you for stopping by and for the lovely comment!
Cath, all three are GORGEOUS! Your architecture is beautiful and I love your landscaping. Wildflower Farm is beautiful, and I will definitely be putting all 3 in my game. Thank you for sharing! Kim
No one will be disappointed downloading and recommending your beautiful creations. I love your charming creation called New Beginnings. Looking forward to placing this lot in my game. Thank you for sharing your awesome talent for building and decorating homes.
So I saw this really cool house that I've been wanting to build and I decided to make it for Halloween. It's the James W Bryan house and it is just awesome. I really wish we had more stuff for Victorian's in the new game. I had to improvise some with what we're given. Turret roofs are tough. And I would Love some bigger archways. Anyway here is a pic of the RL home:
I didn't use the reddish color on mine because it's for Halloween. I made the yard all unkempt looking with dirt paths leading around the property. I wanted it to be darker and as a matter of fact, that's what I called it, "DARK MANOR" 4br, 3ba.
I had to make up my own design for the back of the house because I couldn't find a single picture for it.
