If we cannot have open Worlds, would you please give us larger Neighbourhoods as well as the option to have no loadingscreens?! Loadingscreens between Neighbourhoods and Worlds are fine (if we have to have them), but I would love for them to show a picture of the Neighbourhood/World our Sims are traveling to, as that would feel like less of a break in the gameplay than the green plumbob. I also wish we would be able to place lots anywhere.
Please Please Please FIX the Fat Girl child/teen BUG!! I HATE that all of my girls end up fat and there seems to be nothing I can do about it!! THANKS!!
That's strange, I have quite the contrary perception. For me it looks like 90% of the people here wish for an open world (or at least less closed with fewer loading screens).
I'm not exactly sure how much loading screens can change once a game is made, or if this would even work anyway, but I wouldn't mind if the loading time increased slightly with each expansion if there was something to look at. It would be awesome to show your sim driving between neighborhoods, or even worlds. I'd love to see the scenery and weather change. Maybe active sims would have fun walking to different neighborhoods, while lazy sims who chose to walk break down and ride the bus. I guess you could have random "cutscenes" based on your sim's traits.
I'm imagining that these worlds are connected somehow on a map that we can't quite see yet. I think it'd be more realistic to link them together this way instead of having them float around.
I'm probably the only one who wants this though. It's just something that has stuck with me since The Sims Bustin' Out.

I also believe that removing the loading screens and let the open world like The Sims 3, the grace and the beauty of the vibrant neighborhood that The Sims 4 has, will be lost. I particularly (in the aspect of loading screens) prefer the way it is.
I'd really, really like to decide where sims'll eat. They always go where they want, but if I want to have a feast in the garden......why they have the dinner in the kitchen?????? I hate it! Maybe it'll be possible to set a function on the table "Have dinner (or breakfast, or lunch) here".

P.S. Sorry for my english. I hope to be clear.
Simple. Just click on the chair from the table that you want him to eat. He will sit where you choose along with the food because of multitasking.

I'm all for open neighborhoods, but a completely open world might create too many problems. Being able to visit the lot next to you without loading screens seems like it'd be enough while still keeping people with older computers happy. Besides, I kind of like the unplayable areas in the background; they help set a certain mood. If this game were open world, they'd probably have to go because people would be upset that they take up "playable" space or that the textures are ugly close up.

Open world is all good, but the problem is what we saw in the previous generation. I believe that to leave the liveliest neighborhoods, they had to leave the game the way it is.
Please lets have an EP like "OFB" adding shops and cafe's into the game, and also what I would love the most is toddlers and prams to take them out into the neighbourhood :)
I agree I would like to see more different lots to visit, such as Restaurants, I miss my sims being able to go out for a meal and not just 'chips' at a bar.
I have some thoughts on how I would the world of Sims 4 to be. But it's a long text and I don't want to double post but if anyone is interested it's in the Feedback subforum. The thread is called "Not exactly Story Progression..." unfortunately I am not allowed to post links yet. ^^

The problem I have with this idea of visit the neighbor lot without loading, wouldn't that be (once again :( ) be the end of rotational play? If once again a whole neighbourhood is active wouldn't that sorta chain me to one playable family by neighbourhood (which is NOT enough)?
I thought that the Lunar Lakes world in S3 had a lot of potential for a real different standalone path for the Sims franchise. The story that the world consisted of distant survivors of a successful colony that learned to live on the planet was interesting. But I think it would have been much more interesting to play the actual survivors.
I think that all of us sci-fi geeks would've been thrilled to play a collection of sims slowly moving from living in the crashed ship... to a small collection of shelters made from an amalgam of wreckage and planet-found materials... to a thriving community learning about a completely differently alien ecosystem and discovering new technologies.
Similarly, I loved the eternally dark Midnight Hollow world. That creepy world was like living in a horror movie. Also, Dragon Valley with the fantasy medieval theme. There could be so much content added to these worlds for those of use who are sandboxers, linear story-liners, or who go both ways according to mood.
I loved the archaeological discoveries that S3 World Adventures brought... I'd love that to continue in S4. The Egyptian desert was really nice, but I'd like to add in a South American jungle (with ancient Mayan/Incan/Aztec ruins) flavored world.
You guys did ice and snow in S3 Seasons really well. A land where ice and snow was the norm would be awesome (for those of us who never get any cold weather). Maybe there could be a Himalayan/Eurasian Steppe world with horses, mountain climbing, Yetis, high temples, and Shangri-La ruins. Or polar regions with polar bears (maybe with quests to save them), penguins, dog-sledding, breaking ice for narwhals to breathe, borealis lights, hot springs (Iceland), treacherous ice trekking, carved ice houses, crashed UFO ruins, etc.
That's strange, I have quite the contrary perception.
Really? Close to nothing asked for can implemented in a standalone world.
Can you rephrase please? I don't understand what you're trying to say.
I can't see how they could, let's say, sell a world, like Sunlit Tides, that has most of the requests made.
People are asking for more TV Channels. Having the active sims head come up when you click things. An external programme to customise recolours.
Seriously. How would a new world feature an external programme to customise recolours?
Or an optional Co-Op mode?
Ah now I get why I didn't understand you. You have completely switched to a different topic. Look, you said 90% of the people here don't ask for an open world. I said it's quite contrary and now you come up with "external software" and co-op. That has nothing to do with what we were talking about before.
Please revisit the sims 2 Night life and Bon Voyage take some ideas from there, you know the open restaurants and real vacations locations. The sims 3 was lacking these things and they were a big part of game play. Being able to take your family out for dinner or on a real vacation is a big deal for some of us simmers. I love the idea my male sim could take his date to a fancy restaurant and surprise her with a proposal Or how they could feed each other. The sims2 is really were you should look back and take some ideas and make them better. The sims 2 is by far Maxis best game to date so revisit it play it and you'll realize the fun the fans had. Oh and please add more food to our bars besides chips come on in the sims3 we had all kinds of food to order from the bar. I'd like to add one more thing Island paradise was an awesome Ep please try and bring back some of those fun things like scuba diving, wind surfing, snorkeling and maybe even houseboats. The sims 4 has a lot going for it with the right aspects added to the game it could be a real gem but that's up to you guys. Listen to the fans we know what we want and what would make this game awesome.....Happy Simming Tori

That was what I was talking about before, nevertheless.
I said 90% of feedback is not about worlds at all... People are requesting all sorts of things that have nothing to do with worlds and that, even if willing, the team developing worlds probably could not address.
EDIT: I never said " 90% of the people here don't ask for an open world". I said "90% of feedback is not about worlds at all"... I apologise if there was any misunderstanding.
Apparently some in this thread have forgotten how to follow directions. The thread asks for feedback on worlds not feedback on pools, interactions, and unrelated things.
I love not having an open world so please don't change that- my game runs so much better.
What I would like is more lots and more lot options. In the current worlds there is more flat open space that could be used but isn't. Please give us that space to add lots.
less expensive larger lots. in rl plots of land are generally pretty inexpensive even if your have a big plot of land.
Customizable public spaces in each neighborhood. Like for instance the ability to add another piece of playground equiptment to the already existant playground.
Also to make those spaces above identified on the world map. You can't see what is in each neighborhood from the world map so for instance figuring out which neigborhood has a pond or a playground is a little tricky.
Thank you for asking and hopefully listening to our feedback!
