    Improve comercial lots

The only employee NPC is mixologist in night clubs. We have just decoratives guichets/counters sevice in lots such as gym and library.

I wish community lots had employees NPCs and functional guichets.

    For example:
    • Request the service of a personal trainer at the guichet in the gym (for a price);
    • Borrow books at the guichet in the library (and pay a fine if you delay the return);
    • Request a guide at the guichet in the museum (for a price).
I really would like to see my Sims as employees depending their career.
And I really would like guichets had a creative design like guichets and food stalls of TS1.

    tKlI4Aa.jpg
This is a example of creative design for library guichet.

I would like to see more lots. I also want the 64X64 lots back, because I don't have enough room to build fairly large houses with big yards. :D

Cemeteries would be awesome too, since we have ghosts now.

    More european worlds

Possibility to edit the public area (to add the new EP objects for example)

More neighboordhoods : I'm ok with the size of each neighboordhoods but there's not enough of them

Keep the loading screen, especially for residential lots. I love the fact that I can play rotationnally and that each venue is crowded.

I really like your ideas @Roff! The worlds definitely need more NPCs, especially in the commercial areas. And I'd love to see some food stands in the public spaces - it would be so great if kids could sell lemonade or cookies, or if they could buy ice cream in the park...

The world is way too small. I like the houses in the background but the Sims have almost nowhere to go. Only a few neighbors and a very few places. The whole thing is just too boring.
Ok the main point are the emotions, and this part is ok, but there are just too many things missing. The emotions don't compesate what's is not there.
    Here a rather small list:
    1. Edit: At least a little more options everywhere. In CAS, for example, we have that rather limited palette of colours/patterns and many things don't match the others (clothing). Same here for building. The choice is just too limited.
    2. Toddlers: From baby directly to child?!... (no comments) :|
    3. Worlds: larger and with the possibility to place lots + more lots that make a city looks like a city (cemetery, stores, city hall, cinema, etc).
      • I don't mind the loading screens but the point is that the parts of the city the sims can more/walk are just too tiny.
      • Loading screens to visit a neighbor in the SAME quartier? This is now really too much. The world is even smaller than I thought. Our Sims is there, all by himself in his tiny world. For everything he does there is this waiting, loading screen. This is a little frustrating. :s
      • Jogging is more a joke. The Sims go a few meters, turns back, does a little stretching and that's it! :o
      • Other worlds.
    4. Building mode: more edit possibilities + cheat "moveobjects on/off"
    5. Family tree!
    6. Other Life States: At least vampires.

There are still lots of other things but I think many are already mentioned here.

    Thanks for asking!

A place to go out and eat would be good. And it would be really good to have a way to just create your own walls. It would be nice to be able to place lots. And finally, maybe you could look at fixing the weird blue world colour? I'm not sure where it came from, but it's kind've strange.

I would like the bigger lot sizes to return - 60x60, 64x64! More larger empty lots for us to build. Bigger neighbourhoods would be lovely too! My preference is for a country/ farmstyle neighbourhood! :D

Bigger lots would be a nice option, maybe more plots to put down lots?
What I would also love to see is not an open world, but open streets? You know the area where your house is build, only in that part you would be able to visit neighbors etc. without any loading screens. Although I prefer loading screens over an unplayable game..

The most important thing for me is a working story progression, at the moment I don't play the game because of lack of it. I want my Sims to grow, learn, get promoted and start families when I'm not focusing on them! (or maybe have them end up as failures, who knows!) - it would make the gameplay so much more interesting.

Option for "Play saved game OR Play new world" = where you have the ability to open a "clean" world and start over. There are so few areas to build in the existing SMALL hoods!

Bigger "world"!!! New world with more AREA - I was surprised at how small this game really is....

I would really like a neighbourhood or sub hood [possible vacation?] in the style of Three Lakes from TS2. It would be a great home or vacation for nature sims, and those who are a fan of the outdoors. I was hoping for one in TS3 World Adventures or Island Paradise but we never got one.

More lots per neighbourhood would be nice, open neighbourhoods (not worlds just the sub sections). I'd like the worlds to be less cotton candy like and more dull if that makes sense? It'd also be nice to have a city themed world with town houses and flats.

Please can you fix the indoor lighting as well, I know there are mods but they only work for so long and would like a permanent solution!

    Thank you.

For me, it has to be open neighborhoods and story progression. The story progression doesn't even have to be that detailed, just the following will do:
    - Sims will get married
    - Sims will have children (whether they're in a relationship or not)
    - Sims will break up
    - Sims will cheat
    - Sims will move from time to time
    - When children grow up there's a chance they'll move out if a house is available.
    - Sims will progress in their jobs
    - Sims will progress in their aspiration, and if/when they finish it, a new one will be picked based on traits and catagory

Also, I think worlds need to be bigger. We need more lots and larger lots, as much as I like the two separate worlds, I feel like it would have been better to have one large world. I'd also like to see another commercial area and some more shops, like clothes shops, supermarkets, bookshops, a school, workplaces etc. Even if the school and work places are in the distance like the houses work in neighborhoods, it would still be nice to see children getting the bus or walking to school, and adults driving to work or getting a carpool. To be honest, I think it's just the little details. Going from Sims 3 where those details exist to Sims 4 isn't too great. I understand it's a base game but even The Sims 3 base game had these things. And personally, I'm not that bothered about Rabbit Holes, I know some people are, so maybe the default shops/workplaces could be rabbit holes, but a tool could be created that allows Simmers to make non-rabbit hole versions.

I don't think making the game Open-World is possible anymore. It's something that's worked into the game's core system, if they could change it, it would probably break a BUNCH of things. If it's possible to make Neighborhoods open that would be awesome if we could just get that. It would be nice if worlds could be a bigger, like opening up the unplayable areas for us to make it 15-20 lots per neighborhood.

Given the proper amount of time and resources you'd be shocked what they can add to the game. They've said from the beginning that this new game has a strong foundation that's capable of being everything players want. If they can't open up these worlds than that wouldn't be true, and believe me when a developer has to publicly come out and admit that they cannot achieve something that players really want, their game will tank. its essentially admitting you've failed at developing a product players have been asking for. Now this is the worst case scenario, for all we know removal of the loading screens is completely possible. Time will tell.
It was also one of the devs who said (iirc it was via Twitter) that open worlds are NOT possible. Good foundation or not, changing this would mean to change a big part of the core. Sure it's possible but I highly doubt the management would agree on such an investment.

    This space is for rent.

I would like to have the ability to draw a lot where you would like it, and maybe have the buydebug options available as a section of the build and buy catalog rather than as a cheat?

So I would love to say that not having an open world doesn't bother me, but it does. My Sims end up staying in their house for weeks on end (that is if I even play it that long, because I've already got bored as there is nothing to do but work and have babies) At least let us move freely to other houses within the areas that highlight together. So I can walk across the road and knock on the house that I see opposite me, but I would have to travel to the gym. I could then walk freely from the gym to the library or anything along that road.

Also get a wriggle on with an EP! I don't remember the Sims 3 base game being this boring and I had nearly all the EPs for Sims 2! In fact I didn't get an EP for Sims 3 until Late Night!

You level the way you want. You play the way you want. See, this game is more dollhouse sandbox than Sims 4. You took the players choice away and filled it with mini quests. Overdone wildly going emotions. You locked your players in tiny worlds. You took out the hours of fun, and brought down to only a few hours of fun.

You have single handily made Sims 4 something it isn't. Yes, change can be good, but not when in the move you completely ruin what made the game a success.

Yes, exactly! The greatness of Sims was playing the way you want! But with Sims, 4 they made a few small steps forward, but took giant steps back.

Shops! Shops like of The Sims 2, clothing shops, markets. The basic, since at the moment we only have the base game. And with the interactions of purchase equal the shops of The Sims 2 is very satisfying to see small details on purchases, as shopping bags, Sims delivering simoleons and attendants cash opening your cash register and saving money.

The markets could be equal to the Sims 2. I could buy groceries to fill the fridge. As in The Sims 4 we have the possibility to have many ingredients included, the items that could be available in these markets would be milk, eggs, cheeses, fruits, vegetables, herbs etc.
According to the game is expanding with expansion packs, stuff, increase the number of shops and items that these shops possess. =)

I also like to see some loving and affectionate interactions as "Serve Meal" equal to The Sims 2. The sims put dish by dish at the dinner table according to the amount of sims in the house. It was beautiful to see it happen and the other sims sitting waiting for food.

Since The Sims 3 i'm feeling miss, of the little details. The dressers are no longer used, the sims no longer opens the drawers to exchange costumes. I miss the little details that in The Sims 2 had.
Please EA, if put cars in the future, do not let the sims if you teleport into the cars like in The Sims 3.

I also want a category of interactions called "Play". And it has several interactions of play where goes from slap on the hand until play of cops and robbers.
This category existed in The Sims 1 and 2, except that in The Sims 2 was more covered.
P.S. According to the old, games can change.

I think most of my requests have been posted by others at this point but here are the things I really want to see in the game.
    • Door Bell that can be heard from anywhere inside the house.
    • Age Designation by a letter (C,T,YA,A,E) or full text in the sims information panel where you can see your relationship and discovered traits.
    • Removal of loading screens when visiting homes in a residential neighborhood. Those mini loads are annoying and not needed. A reduction in the number of load screens in non-residential neighborhoods would be good as well. But not sure how feasible that is.
    • Ability for sims to hold part time jobs at any employable age (teen through elder). Lazy sims don't like that 8 hour work day...emotion TENSE.
    • More careers and part time jobs.
    • Hot Tubs...my flirty sims are missing these.
    • More Dating and Outing spots. Restaurants are missing from this open world as are coffee shops and movie theaters.
    • More affordable home lot based group activities for children.
    • An Adjustment to the sims' skins. My sims' skins have a "dirty appearance" on paler skin and an "ashy" appearance on the darker ones. I realize this is supposed to be shading but it is too pixelated and only looks good from a distance.
    • More color swatches for everything. Body modification piercings. More tattoos, jewelry, clothing, hair, makeup...basically all things CAS.
    • Separated eye lashes. That blob of eyeliner is not working for me. You can make eyelashes that fit with the art style if you can make that thick Playdoh looking eye liner thing.

I could add more but these are the things I REALLY want fixed/added as soon as possible. I realize Sims 4 is a new iteration of The Sims so it is not going to be exactly like any previous version of The Sims. I will wait to see how EA/Maxis chooses to flesh out the game going forward. But I do hope they will keep their fan base in mind when going forward. Getting new customers is great, but not if it is going to cost you the many loyal followers you already have. Plan carefully and please get the current bugs fixed in this next patch. Tired of tweaking my friends faces to get rid of the Squinty Eye Cromag Jaw Glitch.

I too would like to see more lots, I like to build big giant neighborhoods! The lack of Open World doesn't bother me too much, but one of the things I like in Sims 3 was it seemed like there was so much more to explore because of the open world. You could walk down the street and rummage in your neighbors' trash cans, for example, or wander into the graveyard crypt. If you can't do open world (which I'm betting you can't) adding in features that increase that sense of mystery or spontaneity or adventure would be great.

One of my favorite things about the Sims game has always been the capacity for random awesomeness--getting abducted by aliens is an example. It's not that I want chaos--I absolutely loathed story progression and couldn't be happier that it's gone--but it seems like by focusing so much on the Sims inner life, we've lost the adventure. That makes it kinda boring. Bring back that sense of fun.

Other than that, my biggest quibble is that when one Sim in a family goes out to explore the world alone, the other family members completely go off the rails. For example, I had a culinary sim with two kids and a wife who worked day shift. When he would come home after night shift, I'd want him to be able to go out and explore public lots (and night time was the best time for him to do it, he slept during the day) but if he would go out and come back, everyone would be out of bed doing random stuff regardless if their sleep cycle was done or not. So he became housebound and it sucked. Fix that, please!

To me, the Sims 3 style open world could feel a bit too empty sometimes. I love, love, love the way Sims 4 has vibrant neigbourhoods and the way background areas are decorated to make it feel less hollow. It would be great in future to see more of that! I love the train, steam boat, tram, more of that! Here's my thoughts in priority order. :)

    1.
I'd like worlds to be bigger with More Neighbourhoods and More Lots (of all sizes). I like the neighbourhood sizes the way they are now, but I'd like more of them. There are some awesome player created community lots out there, and I just can't download them because there is no where I could put them. For some reason I just don't like replacing Maxis made community lots. For a base game, I'm happy with the amount of different type community lots, because I know expansion packs will slowly add more.

    2.
It would also be great if there was an ingame tool to Edit A Neighbourhood, which basically means being able to edit ALL of the playable area surrounding the lots! It wouldn't have to be too advanced, just possible to place trees, objects (e.g. benches, decorations...) and collectibles (fishing spots, gardening plants, ores) around (no building or terrain changing).

    And some less important wishes:

    3.
Some have been asking for age-specific community lots, and I'd like to see a way to make an certain age preference on townies that spawn on specific lots. It's really difficult to find same age friends for your teenagers when you can't tell adults apart without looking for romance option - you have to go through a lot of sims to find one same age, IF you find one, and then not have time to build a relationship because the day is over. And sometimes for children all you get is one child spawn on a lot and sometimes I'd like more to choose from.
ALTERNATIVELY, if you only go to town with a teenager, make only teenagers spawn, if you go to town with a family of all ages, make all ages spawn to match your family's age ratio (e.g. 25% elders).

    4.
I love the idea of themed worlds from different parts of the real world. With future expansion packs coming, I'd like to say that worlds don't ALWAYS have to be for a Specific Cause (e.g. pet world, supernatural world). As much as I love that all pet things are related to one place, I'd like to have more "normal" worlds to choose from. I realize that the way the worlds are connected in The Sims 4, make the expansion themed worlds less annoying for those who like to play in a more real life styled way as we can easily just "visit" them. However I do like different looking worlds without having to think I've come to a town that only has one hobby. Real life towns, despite looking different, do normally have a little bit of everything and I guess that's what I'd like. Sometimes I felt like the expansion theme kind of ruined the feel of the new town and its style. But sure, link new worlds to expansions (with certain themes on objects and collectibles), but do not make them only about that. I love dog parks, but the pond doesn't have to be bone shaped! ;)

Other than that I really like what I'm seeing! I have my full faith in you guys at Maxis creating even more stuff for the Sims 4 and I'm looking forward to see what more you'll bring to the game!

P.S. Dying to hear an announcement, any tiniest littlest hint, about them Toddlers coming back! Miss em so so much!
