    I've downloaded some custom content and mods and when I open the game it lists them at the main screen. But when I'm in CAS, I can't see them or find them anywhere. It's stuff like tattoos, nail polish, makeup, contacts, stuff like that.

      If people are making recolors of Maxis items, the new tattoos, nail polish, etc. might be listed as a color option of the original item. Look there.

      yup you can check whether theyre default or non-default. default ones replace an existing recolor etc etc

      Read the instructions on the CC! They usually tell you where you can find it in the game
