I use the normal fruit to lure in passerby's to the garden, and then they feed the herd. I really want more of them on the lot but there is no room left and I don't think I can take them with me if I relocate. Blast it all!!
And you get cow plants from fishing and that Sylvan Hidden Grove area, either the pond or waterfall area. The whole family goes and we get more cow plants to add to the army.

so you CAN feed the neighbors to them? i cant keep one alive long enough. i was woohooing when my 2nd one died. if only i didnt go back in for the third time i would have made it outside sooner to feed it. as soon as i was about to go outside it died.

LOL - only time I know it does it (and @Willow can shed more light I imagine) is when it does the whole cake lure and I've got people milling around and someone I don't control goes over to take the bait.

Normally they vomit people back up, it's rare for it to kill them. Only seen that once so far. When they pop out that tongue of theirs you have 12 sim hours to feed them or they die.

hmmm. ok. thanks. ive had a pesty visitor play with and pet but i guess i should have let it get hungry when she came over. would have loved to see her go.
As @Willow noted, the rate of death is low so I think I've had abnormally good "luck" with Miss Belch as she's got a death count of 6 om noms to date. Sadly she won't eat Hobo Pete yet much to my chagrin.
