    I'm quite new to modding. I went to Mod The Sims and found an awesome Doctor Who t-shirt. I tried to download it, but it said I had to extract it through WinRAR. I went to download it, but it was a WHOPPING 30 dollars! No way! I'm too cheap! Is there a way to bypass WinRAR? I have a Windows 8 laptop.

      Are you sure you're downloading it from the right website? Try this one: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm

      Get the trial version. You can just ignore the pop up that opens after 30 days or whatever. It will never actually FORCE you to pay or stop working.

      Or you can use 7-zip. It's free/open source, handles both rars and 7zs, and won't nag you to purchase anything as it's not a trial.

      if you right click when using the WinRAR you don't get the pop up
