I remember when the sims 3 first came out in June everyone on the forum was going crazy for gnomes!

I only ever managed to get one gnome and it sat in the house for a while then a klepto stole it!

    Right, that does it!

You lot going on about gnomes the last few days keeps putting this wretched song in my head.

So now I'm going to see how YOU like having this bass line and bassoon going through your head for hours at a time!

    Serves you right!

Ummm, okay....? :? Not really sure what you are trying to say...

Finally one of my Sims has hit the jackpot getting his gnomes! He has one from fishing, but finally started getting them in the mail when I had him start sending gems/metals in the mail to be cut/smelted. He now has six from the mail. He was never successful fishing another one up or finding one at the catacombs. Here are some pic's.
Failing at the catacombs (poor guy looked like this a lot of time)

I've only found one gnome, and it stopped moving after a while :-(. I blame the Sims for kicking it !

    Happy Simming,

I'm going to have to quit selling my gnomes! I get them in the mail often (instead of the silver or gems I sent in). They're worth $1,000. I've found that sometimes they depreciate. Other times, the ones that move around a lot are worth more.

I thought I was doing something wrong when they stopped moving... I think I'll just sell those.

Yeah, I had a couple stop moving and thought my Sim could "Kick Start" the gnome 8)
The gnomes changed poses, but never moved to different locations again...

I'm about to sound dumb, but how do you find those? They're so cute :D

You get the mod that enables you to buy them at the store:

Some people say you can catch them while fishing but I never have which is why I got the mod and it has not affected my game negatively at all.

I have found tons of gnomes when I send gems out to be cut. They come back with the cut stones. I have also found gnomes while fishing. I find them all the time! Sometimes they're a nuisance because they get in the way, and turn on the tv while someone is napping! LOL! :)

My first one moved a few times and then found a cozy spot and stayed there forever. Most of my gnomes have never moved at all unless I had somebody kick them and stand them back to change their poses.

Wow, it's been a while since I've seen one of these threads.

    My Gnome loves(hates?) trash.
