Please have pity on me...

...I am completely computer illiterate and was wondering if someone could help me find out if my computer will be able to play Sims 4 or not.

Thank you so much in advance for any help!

    Yes it should run fine.

I have the exact same processor, and the intel integrated graphics card also. I do have 8 GB RAM, but it shouldn't matter that much, and also windows 7, 64 bit. Mine is a desktop.

The Demo runs perfect. I think the only thing you need for the game , different than the CAS Demo, is more RAM. Your 4 GB RAM should be sufficient.

Thanks so much! I've been thinking about adding a little more RAM but I'm not sure when I will be able to do that and I really wanted to make sure I could play the game before ordering it.

Thank you again for helping me out!

You're welcome, and actually the RAM you currently have should be fine.

are these intel 4 or intel 3 cards? because you need minimum of intel 4 for game to work. people with intel 3 cards have been having problems running the demo.

Ok @AZZIE73, you have the card nvidia 435m as well as the intel. It's this card you want to set up to run the game. My biggest concern is age, the system is mid level which could be ok for unpatched base but at this stage of it's life it could be hard for it to run a game. How is the system doing overall? Do you play sims 3 on it?

I also think unfortunately if it can handle the base ok it could likely have issues once EPs start rolling out

@ceejay402 I do play Sims 3 on it. I have 6 of the expansion packs and 3 stuff packs as well as quite a bit of store content and I have no problem whatsoever when I play. My system seems fine overall as well. I play lots of games on line via Wild Tangent and Big Fish and watch things on Hulu and Netflix and Amazon and have never had any issues whatsoever.

I'm worried because I don't want to get into the game if I can't play the expansions...although I am thinking of getting a new laptop in a couple of years since I've had this one since 2011.

I have been playing the Create a Sims demo and so far there has been no problems at all with that.

Unfortunately the CAS demo is going to be less demanding than the full game, so you'll have to put your settings down. Your card seems to be in the "orange" zone, which basically means it should run the game, but probably only low-medium settings, and will probably struggle.
