No date mining for me. I will be pre loading on the 29th (biased on region) since I ordered through Origin. Servers get backed up when everyone tries to download all at once so they are giving at least 24 hrs ahead of time to download most of the game.
My post was also eaten. I don't really have a clue what anybody is talking about, but downloading it early sounds great! If origin allows me to do it then yes I will. Is there any info about that for the UK? And what is datamining?
I'll pre-load but won't be able to play until the 4th when it's released in Australia. I won't be data mining. I also probably won't be sleeping Thursday.

Why are some peoples games available at 11 pm on the 1st? Is it because EA is releasing the game at the same time for every time zone? My game is preload-able on the 29th at 1pm and Available at 12 am on the 2nd. *edited because...* Oh, and I won't be data-mining. I dunno how. >.>

It's because it is launching in the US at 12 Midnight Eastern time. For folks on the West coast it will only be 9PM on the 1st. However, according to the info in Origin (if you hold your cursor over the game in Origin), it says that the complete download will start an hour before the game actually launches. At least mine does.

I'm going to temporarily lose my internet for possibly 3 days starting on the first. If I pre-load it before the first and it completes, will I be able to play TS4 on the 2nd without internet?

I don't think so because the origin client has to connect so it can decrypt and "unpack" the files. After that it will begin installation.

well actually I just preordered the digital deluxe yesterday and looked around in the files....nothing interesting. When I clicked TS4.exe origin says this game will come out on september 2nd and cannot yet be played

im so confused my origin says preload sims 4 sept 2nd and release date sept 4th so if you data mine does that mean you can actully play the game or?
If you're in a different country, you'll have a different release date. Datamining it just means going into the files and looking to see what's there. If you know what you're doing, you can frequently tell what's in the game that might not have been talked about yet (among other things).

@OceanBlue10 Scroll over your copy of TS4 in the Origin client and it will tell you.
