Yea i tried various ways and still get the crash... siggggh i guess i will wait till all of this is fixed so we don't have to do it. The only way i can offer sims4 cc right now is to offer them in default replacements .I'd really rather not, but i have no choice.
This renumber step can happen at any point after you finish with Color Magic. I find it most useful at the very end after everything is updated and after I've tested and found that it causes a crash.
It looks like SimGuruModFix is willing to look into the cause of this issue for us! Hopefully by the time the game comes out, we'll know the RIGHT way to do this.

In gimp you need to chose file->export to save as dds.
