Retrieving lost games after system restore.

I had to do a system restore on my laptop tonight.
I had to get some help online after the restore as my windows would not register as genuine for some reason, and I had to re-transfer my music, photos and documents as they didn't transfer into my user profile after the start up. After going through all that I went to play Sims and found I had lost all of my Sims games.
Am I just out of luck or is there a way to retrieve my games?
I am on a Dell that uses Windows 7.

If that is empty the only way I could think is if you can restore deleted files.

For some reason my saved games are in one user file but not the user file that the Sims disk seems to use for playing.
I seem to be able to simply copy what saved games I want into the other user profile and the games appear.
Thank you for reminding me of the saved file! It's been a loooong night trying to get my laptop up and running and I forgot all about that! lol
