Kim, the url link doesn't seem to be working for the magazine. I think you need to check the brackets locations in your HTML, not sure.

Kudos to you, Smoky, Flobo, Jaded, Lil Sapphire and Jorgha for a slick publication! It looks great!
    Take care,

Fun and new challenge at TSS geared towards the Olympics...

    Simathlon

    london-olympic-logo2.gif

To honor the Olympics in London, I thought an Olympic -sized challenge would be in order. Welcome to the Sims Triathlon. Your mission, if you choose to accept, is broken down into three elements. First, create an athletic sim. He or she is going to the Olympics in whichever sport you prefer. Next, The Olympic dormitories will not suit your sim. He/she prefers their own dwelling. You must create a home for your Olympian to train and relax in while in London. And the final step, we want to hear details of your Olympian. How long they have trained, sacrifices made, achievements, romances, heart break, etc. You must write a short story about your simmie.

    1530.jpg

Think this is steep? You are right. What are the benefits? First place entry receives up to 2000 simpoints or items from their wishlist up to 2000 point. Second place gets 1000 simpoints, and third will receive 500.

    Javelin-thrower-talks-perils-of-life-on-road-R71M8B6P-x-large.jpg

    Rules
    One_ have fun.
Two- only one entry per member. That encompasses one sim, one build for that sim and one story.
Three- Contest ends during the Olympic Closing Ceremony which is August 12, 2012.
    Four- no Custom Content.
Five - all creations must be new for this challenge.

You can submit your entries one at a time, or all at once. That is your decision. I would prefer to see you submit your sim once completed, your home, then your story, but it's up to you. Do not forget to update your showcase threads with your entries as well.

    Truth, Dare, Kiss or Promise

Remember playing that game as a kid? Or maybe you still play it. Did you take the safe route and tell truths about yourself or accept the dare and dash down the street naked? In this circumstance, your avi is in a game. What will they reveal about her/himself? Or will she/he take the dare?

    Rules

You must use your regular avi for this round (or start with your regular avi)

Only post your final submission at TSS, you could post it here but I might miss it!

Once you have posted at TSS, you must change your avatar and keep it for the duration of the comp for all your posts at TSS.

    Deadline

    December 4

If you are new, please indicate whether you would like to be placed in pro or novice.

    Smoky,
foolishly I promised to be good.

    Ipromisecopywivborder.jpg

    Kim

    Got soundly kissed

    TruthorDare.jpg

Now 'tis you turn, what will your sim do? Post at TSS........ there are more entries there too!!

    Housing Crisis

Let me introduce you to two young people.... Joe and Nidawe Flyingbird. They are very much in love and they would dearly like to get married and buy a house.

    NadaweandJo.jpg

However in todays economic climate, they can only raise 80,000S for the lot, the house and all it contains. Maybe as they save more they will be able to buy something bigger, but today thats it. The bank manager says thats it, absolutely. Not a penny more.

They are both young modern Americans and both of American Indian
descent, so the decor should reflect that. Nidawe says it should not be over the top but definately a nod in that direction. She would love to start a family too, so maybe two bedrooms at least.

    image-04.jpg

Can the lovely house designers here at TSS give them somewhere to begin their life?

And they would like to be there by Christmas..........

Here is the house I found for Nidawe and Joe. It's a cozy ranch that hold 2 bedrooms (3 if the office is converted), 1.5 baths, laundry room, kitchen, dining, and living room. Done in earth tones, splashes of their Indian heritage indoors, and a garden outdoors this home may just be a perfect fit at a below budget cost of $70,903.
