 Tragic Clown (I have a phobia of clowns, he didn't help)

The first time my sims had a baby in Sims 1. Cos they're useless. And it didn't cry, it squealed and I wondered what the heck it was.

In Sims 2 though a family I'd made all decided they weren't going to walk everywhere any more, they were going to float. They were all alive, but they decided to float. Not even float like the ghosts, just stay in standing position and levitate to wherever. I turned my game off and didn't play again for about a month.

Then the scariest in Sims 3 was when the grass went purple and flashed for a bit. Everything else was fine, even my sim was confused about the flashing purple grass.

My sim was cursed by a mummy around the time when WA first came out, so there weren't any sort of guides on what to do yet.

I was already kind of scared of losing my sim, but when the screen gradually got darker and darker with the mummy face I ended up just quitting the game completely. Now I get scared any time I see a mummy in a tomb.

I have only downloaded one sim since I've been playing. A friend of mines simself. Her sim was evil & kinda scary anyway. I had my simself live with her. For fun, I used a zombie potion on her. My game started to lag a little. I kept my camera centered on her. She ran to the house & went through the door. I zoomed in. Her body didn't move, but her head turned in my direction! She gave me evil zombie faces! The game would run a bit, she would run a bit, then turn her head in MY direction and look at me! It freaked me out. I paused it, even, and her head would still turn to look AT ME!!!! I wasn't even stoned.

I'm laughing so hard right now lol

Mine was in Sims 2 when I first saw an angry ghost. The ghost kept scaring my sim and I was okay with that but then the ghost started started staring at me and punching her fist into her other hand like she wanted to beat the crap out of me! I was kind of like uh... From that point in ghosts scared me in Sims 2.

    Go away ghosts!

Mine is something that happened fairly recently with my historical-ish legacy family. It was my 6th generation twin's birthday, and I had invited family and friends over. Everything was going well, they chatted with friends, had some fun and then it was aging up time. So far so good right. They were aging up to teens, so I had them both go to blow out the candles. The Eldest *by a minute* blew his out first, but set the kitchen curtains on fire. Oh darn it...Ah well, I have cheated a bit and installed fire alarms. The brigade will be here soon.
Trouble is that there was a big crowd stood awkwardly around the medium sized kitchen. So as I tried to get the family to run out and ignore the running towards the fire like 🐸🐸🐸🐸, they kept being blocked by some random sim. I finally got them out when I realised the younger twin, Abraham was STILL INSIDE THE HOUSE EATING HIS CAKE! This greedy fat kid was almost sacrificing himself to gorge on cake. I cancelled his death-by-cake idiocy, and had him run out. By the way, the flames were just spreading at this point. The fridge was gone, the stove 2 counters where flaming. Just carnage. Finally the firewoman pops up, but she's struggling to get to the blaze because of the stupid non-legacy sims doing the 'Holy S***! It's a Fire' dance. So she sprays the fire down, starting with the flaming fridge *sounds like a Parody SuperHero*, and some little vampire kid gets caught up in the spray. (Didn't affect her, but it looked funny.)
So finally, after 3 SIM HOURS, the fire is out, no-one died, but good Lord was that scary, and darkly funny. Now I learned my lesson, and have made a much larger, easily escapable kitchen for them.

This is the Vampire kid by the way. Also you can just about see the carnage to the right. Biggest fire I've had happen.

This is why you should try to build a big kitchen, folks. Abraham is on the right, with the Plumbob. Greedy swine.

    Mummy!

I wasn't playing with my Sim, since it was my first time playing WA. I decided to play with Morgana Wolff to "test the water". Well, while exploring The Great Pyramid, she encountered one of those creepy mummies. Seeing how slowly he was walking, I THOUGHT we had enough time to search one more treasure chest, before running. Well...

Morgana not only got attacked by the mummy, but he also put a curse on her as well! Even creepier, was the hearts and the message of how Morganna and the mummy "have alot in common. We should get to know each other"! Now THAT is creepy :!:

The biggest scare from sims games had to be in sims 1 and those darned ghosts...every blamed time that music would start I'd turn the sound down. It was the main reason I could never play the Goth house. Those were not friendly and cute like the ones in s3.
In my house, dog hair sticks to everything but the dog.

It only took one crash, and now I freeze up in fear any time the game stalls or lags even slightly. Oh, and when it takes a long time to save? Torture.

So many times...so many hours of creating a house, resort, or club lot down the drain because I got too engrossed in building and forgot to save...

It has to be that scary music from TS1 that plays everytime a raccoon or burglar enters the lot! :P I don't get so scared by it anymore, but when I first heard it I was like 11 years old and I was alone in the house. It scared me so badly that I turned down the volume every night.

My thoughts exactly! The moment I heard the ghost music, I was like, OH CRAP. :| And then I watched them do their haunting thing, and I (hands shaking) turned the game off! Lol! Granted, I was like, twelve at the time, but seriously. Never played the Goths ever again after that.

Also, any time you'd answer the phone if you missed a day of work or you got a bad prank call, it'd play that awful sinister music. Didn't like that. Y U BE SO SCARY SIMS 1.

Also, also! (I think it's safe to say The Sims 1 was traumatizing for me. ;)) I remember asking the genie from Livin' Large for a wish and he caused a HUGE FIRE IN MY HOUSE IN MY STINKIN' HOUSE. We all know how awesome fires were in that game.

Hands down - when the burglar comes over in TS1! Of course I had the speakers on pretty loud - that music is a heart-stopper if anything!

I've had a few moments where I'd see lightning strikes close to my sims or on top their house, and my headphones are pretty big and loud, so hearing the loud, crackling thunder sound when the lightning hits and lights up the screen like that always makes me jump

Yupz! I gotta agree, whenever the music changes (meaning a burglar or grim reaper is coming) or the camera pans somewhere else without me doing it, I freak out a little bit.

Recently I've been having panic attacks when comets come my sims way.
You never know if they're gonna make it.

the scariest thing that happened in a game is something i cant explain why it happened - in the town of twinbrook i created the sims 2 broke family plus angela pleasant

since i never liked how brandi broke probably killed her husband the first thing i did was kill her off by fire

so i built a room next to the house with no doors, a fireplace, rug and chair
    nvtkdy.jpg

since it took a few hours for the fire to start of course the timing was bad - angela was in the middle of cooking dinner and left the stove unattended to try to put out the fire

so you guessed it a fire broke out in kitchen
    bitfp.jpg

it was touch and go for a moment i almost lost the family members i wanted to keep - but thankfully the firefighters focused on the fire they could access and brandi was greeted by the grim

    2u54xuc.jpg

now a sims week later i thought i had finished with any fire issues when i noticed via town map view a bright light at the local restaurant and this is what i found
    rlyzcp.jpg

total fire mayhem! i have no idea how the fire got started and since none of my sims had even visited the lot yet i couldnt stop the fire. so i just watched as no townie tried to put out the fire or call for firefighters.

so i thought ok this should get interesting - will the fire spread and will i lose many townies or will the fire stop - so i left the blaze and went back to focusing on my family

a few days later i checked back and nothing had changed - townies just running into the fire and screaming
    2qxyi3s.jpg

so the story unfortunately ends here - the next RL day i installed a modded world version of twinbrook so i could have fog spawners removed and cant access the old game file- as far as i know the fire is still raging but how and why it got started will remain a mystery

I never played sims or sims 2. Sims 3 is my first. The first time I saw Grim was scary, because I had no idea what was happening, and the music and everything sounded so evil. I still do not like seeing him one bit, though he doesn't scare me any more.

Also, when my first angler sim went to the graveyard to fish for the death fish, the music when the ghosts started coming out made it feel like every hair on my head and body were standing on end. I don't send my sims to the graveyard to fish at night anymore. I did have a glitch in a recent game that made the death fish available to catch during the day. My angler sim caught them and, being in the culinary career and a gardener besides, he was the first sim I ever had make ambrosia.

What has been scaring me the most lately is when my sim's husband catches himself on fire while he's inventing. He has never tried to put himself out, so I'm afraid that if he catches fire while I'm giving my attention to one of the other family members, he'll burn to death. He just finally achieved his LTW, less than 2 weeks from the end of his lifespan, but I still don't want to lose him that way, nor any other of my sims either.

In the Sims 2, I was so freaked out when I noticed that the teddy bear's head would rotate when it was possessed by a ghost. That was the creepiest thing, considering I grew up loving stuffed animals.

In the Sims 3, I think the scariest thing that I have encountered so far is Grimmie. He honestly terrified me up until I had a pet die and he was so sweet with them that I lost all my fear of him. He's not a hateful death wanting to rip your family members from their bodies, but a kind man just doing what he has to do. And sometimes swimming in your pool or watching your TV after his job is done.

What always scares me is when I see something like this:

    original.jpg

    or this

    original.jpg

    and especially this

    original.jpg

    and this

    original.jpg

I mean you know how hormonal a normal human is during pregnancy, but a vampire. She'll actually kill the guy who did this to her during delivery. I mean look at how angry she looks now. lol

I just remembered an actual thing in the game that scared me...

The gnomes! I had no idea that they teleport around. I always sold them because they were 500 - 1000 simoleons. I found a really cute dog one that I decided to put down in the living room by my pets.

I fast forwarded, looking elsewhere in the house... When my sim woke up and I went to check on her, the dog gnome was sitting right by her bed looking upwards.

    No, please!

I know it doesn't look like much, but it seriously scared me. Felt like my heart skipped a beat.
