I dont know if this has already been done but im going to compile all the info i find and put it in this because i keep finding new things and forgetting old ones lol

Sims now have emotions that affect their decisions and way of life. Now there are 14 new emotions for your sims to experience.
CAS is reinvented by eliminating the sliders. You sculpt your sims by clicking and dragging on parts of their body. Tweaking it to the way youd like it most.
Angry sims can get more out of a workout. Working out also burns off the angry feelings.
Layering of clothing is possible now. Hats dont come with a specific hairstyle. [yay freedom!]
Now ethnicity is more recognizable.
EA is using a new engine, different from TS3.
Dont have to keep clicking random flirt options to get to, makeout or goose. If the sims are in a flirty mood, they can do those immediately.
You can assign memories to random interactions and then choose whichever emotion to that memory.
We have achievements again.

The gardening skill is present in the game and expanded upon, fallen fruit can act as fertilizer.
The sims are a musical bunch; pianos, guitars and violins will all be included in the base game.

Sims can wake up in different emotional states depending on what kind of dreams they’ve had.

The sim will work better on lower end computers. Hopefully meaning not as glitchy as TS3 on HIGHER end computers

There wont be wishes, but goals for your sim to complete.

No weather or seasons in the base game. they want to focus more on the gameplay.. [thats utter bull to be honest]
Sims may not be able to open car doors before getting into them.
The team is trying to incorporate more than 3 stories in the sims homes. nice.
Wall heights are adjustable. Curved walls may or may not be getting added, the fences will be curved though.
Aging isnt going to change. Same as ts2 and ts3.. [i wonder what that means..]
[ps emotions and multitasking are new.. -rolls eyes-]
bartending is a new skill, other new skills will be coming.
gardening, writing, cooking and painting skills are back. cleaning will not be a skill this time around.
Aspirations are back.
Clothing will use the buffs system so you can change the mood of your sim.
There is a new goal based events system that will give our sims new types of events! New one.. SINGLES EVENT! So the single sims in the neighbourhood can schmoooze! Careers also have new events, Chefs can have special event dinners to help boost their job performance!
There may or may not be cut scenes.. i doubt it though.
Sims will automatically decide if they can multitask with the actions queued.
Need bars will be back, Comfort and Envrionment needs will not return.

what does this mean? are we getting scrambled eggs or.. is cooking a lot more intense than woohooing and working?
theres a thread on concept art from one of the designers of ts4, Tony Ianiro. people are thinking the drawings, most if not all, are for ts4. i agree with them. almost every drawing has to do with new orleans.. which is the theme for the main town in ts4. there looks to be some nice housing, beautiful towns, a steam/house/party boat[?], and some store signs which very obviously tells us what they sell. very exciting stuff.

check out the store sign drawings, the ghost one is definitely of GHOST CHILI. the other signs are of:
-a bat playing sax= vamp lounge?
-guys holding beer and wine= pub?
-a hand holding a paintbrush with an eye in the palm...= i have no idea.. magic art?
-the ghost chili one is probably a restaruant
-dog with a present on its nose..= pet shop.. but whats with the present?
-crawfish over a cooking pot= another restaurant
-2 lobsters and a card= i really hope its not another restaurant..
-the pizza is definitely a pizzeria.

edit:nevermind, i figured it out.
Once again I hate this for being the vaguest of the vague.
Since there are two scenarios
1) The game features a wide gambit of diverse emotions
or
2) We already seen ALL the emotions the game has to offer.
You forgot Histerical and Focused and Passionate and Bored and Fine. That is 10 already. I forgot Confident which is 11.
Those are all off the top of my head too.
but again, if you dont have a link, im not taking rumors or heresay. i need official stuff so i can keep track of the official features.
i just want a list to be able to have a reference to refer to everytime i see new things. or just to get myself excited. lol

Also another fact is weight can be gained or lost depending on lifestyle. Like if the sim eats unhealthy food a lot, overeats and doesn't work out they will get overweight. If a sim eats healthier food and doesn't over eat, and works out they will lose weight.

well i hope theres a plethora of emotions. but again, i havent been making these up, im taking them from articles on the game. so when they specify, ill update. until then, the 14 stays.
Almost all of them (if not all) are right from your gameplay demo.
Stop being so negative the sims4 at this stage is still pre alpha as the game development advance we will know more so right now all we can do is wait patianly for new info to come in like for exemple the next sims4 live brodcast will be focus on buy build mode so eventualy we can expect a live brodcast showing more of create a sim and we do not know what emotions the other age groups will have so neonivek you need to remember the game at this stage like i stated is still pre alpha.
So we do not yet know what all the features of the sims4 will be as the game is not yet complete the realise demo was for presenting the game at gamecon
