    Changing Names

    How do I change the last name of sims? I got my couple married, but they took the wrong name. He took on the name of the household, but I wanted them to have his name.

      You can change names at city hall.

      How do I do that? When I click on city hall, the only options I have are "join political career," "attend charisma class," and "tour."

      You have to wait for City Hall to be "open". I've had the most success Monday - Friday during work hours. Not sure specifically what times it really is open.

      Thanks for the information, PinkiePie. Does that mean you can rename any (age) Sim during opening hours, even if it doesn't coincide with a birth or marriage?

      No. Only Young adults, and adults (maybe elders, I haven't tried)can be renamed (yuck, i wish they would fix that).
