    I don't have mods or CC installed.

    There is a bug with the casino PC objects and the new EP, ITF. On all three casino objects, if the sim is hungry and they are in a future lounge, the sim will try to order food while sitting at the casino table over and over again with the "not possible" sign over their head.

    The gambling feature is unaffected, as other sims that are not hungry, will continue gambling and winning/losing. It just looks like the casino tables are enabled somehow to attract sims to try ordering from the bot waiters.

    YES! Going to a big park does the trick! Even if the park is set up as a simfest lot. So far playing on a festival lot doesn't work. So the usual locations where sims are able to earn tips with other musical instruments don't always work. I even finished the darn challenge easy-peasy. I'm not sure what craziness got instilled in the developer to set it up that way. :-/ I'll make sure to spread the word.

    First things first. I won't have time to add tonight or tomorrow for that matter. I will try to add Friday evening but I'm working tomorrow too so I don't have that much time.

    Saturday should be back to normal, Sunday we have visitors and Räbeliechtli-Umzug in the Evening. So apologies in advance if it's slow this week. It's not too busy here so I can do it with a good conscious

    Me and my sister (who has her own copy of the game on her own computer) have both experienced problems with Sims who don't take their preferred vehicles over taxi cabs. She has a witch who's preferred vehicle was a LTR Flying Vacuum or Margret Vougester while my own Sim was riding a NostalgiaCycle.

    Not sure if this has to do with the glitch I read about that involved Gnomes and naming items. I do have my bicycle named. I tried renaming it and nothing has changed that I know of. Still takes the cab instead of bike.

    Reposting info about Books xml I posted back in the Uni Bug thread with new info (think I got the link back right). I read the first page but haven't had time to read through the whole thread yet so if this has already been addressed in thread but not made it to the first page, I apologize in advance. Also, does anyone know of a guru/other thread I can haunt that might get this info to the game developers? Preferably not Twitter or Facebook as I don't have either and signing up for one/both just to "harass" the gurus into fixing this headache probably won't do much good.

    My problem concerns several of the books in the game - specifically the book covers.

    1. EA gave us some very pretty book covers for the Masterpiece genre books your author Sims can write. Problem is, they never show in game. I can 100% personally confirm this has been going on since Pets (cuz that's how long I've been trying to fix it with no luck). I'm 90% sure this has been going on since before Pets and 20% sure I've had this happening since WA when I started playing.

    The Books XML show these masterpiece covers being referenced, there are files in the Fullbuild2 package... they just never show in game. You get your sim to jump through the proper hoops, you write the Masterpiece genre book, get the proper credit for it, it shows up in the mail... and it's got the red drum book cover from LN. I have no memory of ever seeing the bookMasterPiece_SkLvl1/2/3 covers in game (nor has anyone else I've talked to on other boards) and the only place I've ever seen the bookMasterPieceIntro cover is on these boards when I've been Liam'd (it's the cover used on the book he's holding).

    It's also kind of sad that the only way the Sims in your game can ever read a Masterpiece genre book (and get the cool Shakespeare-looking moodlet) is if one of your active sims is a prolific writer - the Masterpiece genre is one of the few that's not represented in the BooksGeneral section (although all the others barring screenplays seem to be).

    2. There are book covers and multi-language STBL files already in game for volumes 2 & 3 of the Martial Arts skill and volumes 2 & 3 of the Photography skill but there's no entries in the Books XML to utilize those resources. This is a little more pertinent now than it used to be with the Home-world available photography skill that was added with University.

    3. With the 1.50 (University) patch came a new book cover specifically for the Trashy genre. It's only used once with the new Trashy novel added with that patch. The older entries haven't been updated and any Trashy genre books your author sims write will use the Romance book cover. I'd say it was a case of making sure the cover showed up for those who don't have University, but I made a mod of the books.xml that added books to the BooksGeneral section using the covers and I got everything to show except the four masterpiece covers mentioned above, a bookEnglish cover and the bookFish4 cover mentioned below (again with only a patched Base Game).

    4. With Late Night, we got specific book covers for the bartending/mixology skill - those skill books use the WA Nectar Making covers.

    5. With Showtime came a new recipe to learn - Fried Peanut Butter Sandwich. The recipe book for this is available to anyone whether they have ST or not but the bananas needed to make the recipe are EP-locked. So a person without the EP will have a sim that has a recipe show up on the fridge/stove to make that they can always make for free (you can't buy bananas unless you've got ST, it doesn't give you a price for the recipe unless you've got ST, but you can make -and eat- it anyways if you've learned the recipe).

    6. None of the genre books that came with the EP7/SN patch use their appropriate genre cover (including the Horror and Poetry covers that came with the patch) - they all use Generic1 or occasionally Generic2. The fish bait book with SN references a 'bookFish4' cover - there's no such IMG in the FullBuild or DeltaBuild files.

    7. With Ep11/ITF, the books.xml shows 20 genre books and 8 "WrittenInternet" books, two career books, 3 ImproveBotSkill books, and 5 LaserHarp sheet music books.

    The DeltaBuild2.package shows 8 "EP11bookCopyOfInternet" covers (none of which are referenced in the books.xml and look like they'd work perfectly for the WrittenInternet books), THREE MusicHarp covers - there's FIVE referenced in the sheet music section of books.xml, and three EP11bookRobotSkLvl# covers - the ImproveBotSkill books reference the Handiness covers.

    If someone with ITF loaded could slip to the future and check the bookstore (I'm assuming that's where they'll be) for these books/covers to verify they're "normal looking" and not "futuristic/scifi looking" I'd appreciate it. I've got a few more things going on in my computer before I can load ITF myself.

    While I realize that none of these "issues" are game breaking they are really, really aggravating. Especially considering how long this has been going on (several years at least for parts of it). I've had the same results throughout the years no matter how many game upgrades or reinstalls (and a couple full computer reinstalls so I know there aren't any leftover files causing the problem) - nothing has made a difference.

    I'm hoping the gurus will look into "fixing" this and help end TS3 on a high note before closing the door on TS3 in favor of TS4.

    This EP appears to be rather stable on my end, but then again it could be because I now have an extremely overpowered computer.

    The only bug I came across while playing ITF is an odd traveling bug.

    One of my Sims traveled back to the present and gained a Hoverboard, Computer Orb, and HoloDisc. Prior to traveling back to the present, their inventory was empty. I was able to even sell the items and gained $4,300 to the household funds, so I'm glad they are removable. (BTW, the Jet-Ski bug from IP hasn't been fixed. :roll: )

    Everything else was as advertised, more or less. (Had no bartenders/PlumBot tending the cafeteria, but the Descendants had the most expensive house available due to how rich my Sims are in the present.)

    EDIT: Here's my stats...
    OS: Win7 64-bit
    CPU: Intel i7 3.4GHz (8x core)
    RAM: 16GB
    GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 2GB
    

    EDIT 2: I had some time to play this morning, and saw this bug happening in Bridgeport's library (my current new game since I installed ITF).
    - It rains at the nuts and bolts emporium, cafeteria, XI Import Gallery and the future lounge

    If I leave my Sim to Idle, they don't react to the weather, so it may just be an animation bug. However, I did notice a lot of NPCs reacting to the weather while inside by doing the "It's raining?" animation (hands being raised while looking at the sky). The next Sim day, I used cheats to make it hail and went to library again. I left my Sim to her Free Will after getting there, and after a while, she did the "It's hailing and it hurts!" animation.

    This doesn't happen on Home lots, so there may be something wrong with community lots and weather now.

    To answer your questions:

    - Are your issue one time things or repeatable with more than one Sim ?

    I have more than one save going. A lot at least so many of them are repeats. Also, many of the glitches I am reporting are not on your thread and have been reported elsewhere. I was testing them out to see if I could duplicate. I will note that in the next report.

    - Is this repeatable ? Might be an issue with the bars. Try resetting the Sim

    Yes, this issue is repeatable. I tried in in a different save with a different Sim. Resetting them just takes them out of the action. If you make them train the other Sim, the same issue happens again.

    - Corrupt outfits have been an issue since they introduced them. Try deleting extra ones or if you don't have extra ones, add one and delete that. That usually fixed the default one.

    I was testing the corrupted work outfits because someone reported they had corrupted outfits on the original page. I was trying a few things to see if I could find out the source problem.

    - Existing issue, rather random

    I was testing the performance meter glitch too that occurs in University. It happens with some of the

    - Random glitch or reproducible?

    The maid glitch is one that someone reported. I got the same glitch. I think it was in another thread. I hired a maid on a community lot, invited her to a party, and the next few times two maids showed up. This only happened in University.

    - Extra money has also been an issue happening on and off

    This one is an actual glitch I experienced. It was really weird and sort of ****** me off.

    - You mean in CAS CAS or Dresser CAS ?

    Dresser CAS. When you open the welcome kit it says you get a banner and a free t-shirt. The banner is found in the inventory but the shirt is not in CAS.

    - Not familiar with that term. What's a dip kiss?

    The dip kiss is the new kiss that comes with ITF. It is one of the kisses that was in The Sims 2.

    New bugs:

    - Twinbrook loads the stadium, theater, city hall, hospital, diner, bistro, and day spa as “community lot” instead of using the correct name. (reproduced)

    - Emergencies in the firefighter career no longer work when you have the sim selected. What I did was select another Sim, wait for the emergency to start and then go back to the firefighter Sim. The emergency worked then. (reproduced)

    - When the firefighter’s shift is over with, they can’t complete the emergency even if they started before the shift’s end. (reproduced)

    - Pictures taken with the photo booths, including the seasonal postcards, no longer work with Graham’s Digital Picture Frames. Camera photos and postcards taken at buildings still work fine. (original)

    I hope you feel better. Don’t count this week as a loss. It is not yet over with.

    Sweetie the rented bug is also happening to second houses your Sims buy. They can't invite other sims in.

    The bug:

    Harvestables planted on soil rugs inside my sim's house in OL have gone dormant in winter.

    Also, inside the house at night, the build mode plants on a soil rug go dark, looking like they are outside at night.

    (I could maybe comprehend a stand-alone greenhouse with harvestables going dormant, but inside a warm sim's house? No, I call that a bug that needs fixing.)

    ........

    I also wanted to mention that while testing the astronomy career, my male faerie experienced the work outfit bug (he was invisible except for his wing glow, which appeared to be sunk into the floor). When this occurred, his thumbnail was blank. It happened on level four and five. Before that, work outfits behaved normally.

    I sent the family back to the present, which put him into his regular everyday outfit, and then had him quit his career. (I really only wanted to get the Astrid sprite, and he got that on level 5 of the career, so quitting was no hardship.)

    But my female faerie had no problems with her work outfits on any level, in the bot center career (up to level five, when she got her Roboid sprite, and then I had her quit the career).

    So perhaps it is only certain careers/levels that work outfits are bugged?

    About the issue with the rhythm-a-con not retaining its colors; it happens every time you save and reload too. So it's not just travel related.

    There are two settings on it, the "idle color" and the "play color". the play color stays whatever you chose it to be, it's the idle color that reverts back to green. At least, that's what happens when reloading.

    I almost forgot to mention something else that happened.

    I went into edit mode in OL (when my sims were in the present) and made some changes to their OL house. (I got rid of all but four of the rodents, and made some other changes in harvestable placements, to correct routing errors.) I went back to the present game and saved.

    But when I initiated time travel with my female faerie sim (who originally purchased the OL house) to go back to the future, the family was sent to Emit's house. I sent them back to the present, and then back to the future, again. Same problem.

    So I had my female faerie go to the house property, which still showed up as owned in her real estate records, and then I went into buy mode and got a time travel portal for them, which I placed on the OL house property lot. I sent the family back to the present through that portal on the OL house property.

    Then I had my female sim initiate time travel to the future, again. When she did, I got the expected popup to choose the purchased home and the family arrived at their OL home without a problem. But instead of teleporting in the way they used to, the family used the portal on their property to arrive. I saved my game, and things have been working fine, since then.

    I thought maybe anyone who is experiencing difficulty getting back to their purchased home might want to try doing what I did. (I would be interested to know if that works for other people.)

    And I would have to advise that using edit mode in OL to edit an existing purchased home should be done only in emergencies, and with caution, because it seems to break ownership travel links.

    edit: My light instrument reverts to orange when I try to set a unique play color. I've tried purple, white, and blue, but it always resets to orange. I haven't tried to change the green idle color.

    This also happened when I started Bridgeport.

    Also, I noticed that sending a Sim to University while other Sims are at work will have the action, See Student Off, force them leave work. I'm sure that might have existed in eariler versions but back in The Sims 3 University Life, I'd never went to Sims University while Sims are at work.

    I also noticed that the Dream Bed can replace your University and Social Group traits. Urblake Miller had the Workaholic trait from University, I used the Dream Bed and used Dumb Luck dream, after using Dumb Luck, his Workaholic trait was replaced with Lucky. This happened in Oasis Landing but when I returned to Moonlight Falls, he got his Workaholic trait back. Another side note: While in Oasis Landing, I used the Brain Enhancing Machine to remove Lucky (6th trait) but couldn't add Workaholic back. Urblake had 6 triats now but when I returned to the Present, Workaholic was added back.

    I'm going to test to see if the Crystal Plants work on the Soil Rug and if the Planter Bowls get watered correctly.

    Edit: I'm noticed some abnormalities in Sims University such as a police car being stuck in front in lot. Also, I noticed that I'm being asked out on Dates more frequently than in Moonlight Falls although University Life (1.50) was said to reduce the frequency of dates.
    An update note of 1.50 says:
    The frequency of getting called by an NPC Sim to go out on a date has been lowered.
    I get asked out on a date immediately when I arrive at Sims University. This happens before the mandatory Meet and Greet. This is due to my Sim knowing a lot of Sims and because of this, it's unfixable unless I move to a new town.

    I found another possible bug (or it could be just me again...like my legacy family issue from before). Apparently, no matter which instrument i play, no one ever gives me tips, period. It doesn't matter which instrument i play either, or how proficient my sim is on it, but since installing into the future, no one wants to tip anymore. At first i thought it was because i was in utopian future, but no matter how long i sit strumming a guitar for tips in the park, no one wants to give me tips (a bunch of cheapwads!). This looks like a possible bug.

    Ive tried playing in present day for tips at parties, venues (like a bar), and supernatural hangouts, and nobody tips me, the only people that come near me are paparazzi's and that's it. Any idea how to fix this issue with no tips?

    A sims 4 player, but i mostly play on steam. I do not own sims 4 on steam, but thru origin. I play on few occasions sims 4.

    I noticed that when the new family went back and forth from the future...strange items appeared in their item menu (not family items). Two members of the three members family came back with 6 copies of volume one of charisma skill books, so in total 12 books. This is a new family, so this issue is a new one to me...still seeing if i get tips still (gotta level the guitar up high enough to use "play for tips" interaction..

    UPDATED: Someone else mentioned this bug apparently in my page talking about it in one of my games..apparently it is kinda random but it does happen, someone also mentioned that items also disappear out of your family inventory (they were talking about some furniture they were gifted due to their fame level, and some regular items from the backpack, so this must be a somewhat common bug unfortunately..)

    EA has always been good at re-introducing old bugs. Especially with EPs. Only fix I know is a mod.

    Dear Crin,

    I'm sorry to bother you again I should have posted that I was going to do some further testing. I'm learning more and more as I'm playing ITF, I simply figured that it would be good to describe the problem as in much detail as possible. I didn't mean to criticise or anything, you're doing a wonderful job and your bug threads have always helped me greatly in the past and saved me a lot of time, headaches and heartaches.

    I discovered the following. When a sim travels, the rhythm-a-con gets a total reset. Both play and idle colors revert back to their orange and green state. When a sim stays in the homeworld or OL etc. and the player save and quit and then reload the game, then only idle color resets to green.

    As kusurusu reported, the object only attracts sims from the future or sims that are at a Big Park so this is indeed intentional. If a Big Park has been turned into a festival ground, the rhythm-a-con won't work there but any big park that is set up for simfests and such do function as usual and sims there will acknowledge the instrument.

    I'm sorry to bother you again I should have posted that I was going to do some further testing. I'm learning more and more as I'm playing ITF, I simply figured that it would be good to describe the problem as in much detail as possible.     UPDATED: so far no tips either with guitar in new game...i produced this same bug twice in my games..and am now asking others on my page if they experienced it..


    As kusurusu reported, the object only attracts sims from the future or sims that are at a Big Park so this is indeed intentional. If a Big Park has been turned into a festival ground, the rhythm-a-con won't work there but any big park that is set up for simfests and such do function as usual and sims there will acknowledge the instrument.

    Hey n00biityo ...are you having issues with not receiving tips with your rythm-a-con? I have not gotten any tips in one of my game for some reason..im still testing with another new game..but in that one...i also have not received any tips yet..

    UPDATED: that's twice i produced the same bug in 2 different unrelated games. The second family was a pre-made family (The Luns). I am using them in Dragon Valley. I notice that nobody doesn't even pay attention to them anymore when they play..there like standoffish...im pretty positive this might be a bug introduced with the rhythm-a-con instrument in Into the Future...

    What's worse is it seems to affecting the "play for tips" on other instruments, so it is just not affecting the new instrument..as i am testing in second game with a regular solofex guitar..and everyone is ignoring me..

    I am going to see if this effects opportunities where you need to get XXX amount of tips, but i have yet to receive one...so not sure if this bug will effect opportunities about making certain amount of tips also..

    I strongly believe this may be somewhat related to what n00biityo is experiencing with the color glitch (in fact they maybe causing each other issues with the same glitch). Since i believe that the new instrument is causing both these bugs..

    Also, with this new game, i can confirm 3 bugs i saw mentioned on here:

    #1. Seems like i am visited by alot of aliens. I am not in the future, but in Dragon Valley. At least one alien visited me nightly for a whole week..

    #2. I am not aging up properly. I had to force one of my people to age up using a cake..otherwise it would continuously state that "XXX is about to age." when he never does, and repeats it ad naseum the next day in the game..

    #3 Yes, quantum chamber does not recharge witches magic...in fact it drains it. This is clearly a bug that EA should of addressed considering this is a "LIMITED EDITION" item in the boxed retail versions..

    WHAT IS REALLY WEIRD is none of the above glitches happened in my legacy game..they only happened when i started a new game with a pre made family...so im guessing these are newer created bugs?

    A sims 4 player, but i mostly play on steam. I do not own sims 4 on steam, but thru origin. I play on few occasions sims 4.

    Update on the soil rug indoors dormancy bug:

    Here is what it looks like when you replant after a prior plant went barren, on soil rugs indoors in the winter.

    But, if you go to the main menu and back again (or quit and restart your game), this happens.

    However, these crystal plants stay dormant no matter what you do. (In the same room, I have grape vines of several types all growing normally after going to the main menu and back again. So the crystal plants should have started growing again, too, in this location.)

    From seeing how this operates, the soil rugs are definitely bugged. It is obvious that they intended to make things grow on the soil rugs indoors in the winter, but it is malfunctioning.

    On the build plants at night, this is what happens.

    The spider web outfit or top that came with movie stuff pack or Midnight Hollow is missing since patch 1.63.

    Crinrict, do you know if the new bathtub that comes with ITF is suppose to behave differently?

    I'm playing as a mermaid, and the other tubs that I have in my game refill her Hydration needs, but for some reason, BactaBath (or whatever it's called) tub doesn't.

    I haven't tried it with the new shower because I've installed the Sonic Shower on her home lot first. I may test out the shower if I have time tomorrow and come back with the results. I just find it odd that this new bathtub doesn't refill mermaids' Hydration needs when the rest of the tubs in the game do.

    At crin it was the first time I noticed it as I was looking for it for my Sims Halloween. I'm the first to report this as no others have.

    I haven't tried reinstalling. I'm not sure if it came with Midnight Hollow or Movie Stuff. I'll try posting a pic of it later. If it s fro m the store a previous patch was supposed to have stopped store stuff from uninstalling.

    Weather seem broken in my game after patching or installing ITF not sure which one is causing it. I do not have weather effects any more. For example if the weather forecast says there is going to be heavy rain, it´s sunny. Also the forecast can change to something else next time I am reading it. I have all weather effects active. It´s like the seasons are not changing anymore and it´s sunny all the time. I have seen mild raining in the future world one time tough. The weather is totally messed up in present world and only the fog works.

    e// I also have the meteor shower bug (changing from dystopia).
