Oh, alright make up. I really dont have too much makeup! I think three lipsticks are all you need. Is it more likely that files that have been in much longer, from like last year, will be corrupt? You may ot even know, i will have to try eventually! But i have some plans this evening before i will have enough time to start testing... At least i know i can fix it, reinstalling all the ep's is so daunting and would be time consuming.
I was pretty lucky, i gigured out that the corupt package gile was in my first cc grouping. I narrowed it smaller and smaller, andnow i have it narrowed down to about eight. They arent important enough for me atm for me to figure out which one it is. But im certainly relieved, im so glad my game is working again! Thanks so much for your help!
I hope someone can help me, I think this patch is really messing me up. I've been wrestling with this game trying to fix the damage it's caused for several days now, with no luck. I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times, cleaned up the registry, done clean restarts, but nothing seems to work. Finally today I did a windows system reset to wipe all of my programs out, because I had gotten to the point where my Sims games wouldn't even uninstall because it said the versions didn't match up.
Basically my main problems seem to be that 1) when I patch the game up, I can't chose households. I click the checkmark and it greys out. (This doesn't happen if I only have the base game loaded, only when I patch.)
2) When I log in to the game, it just says 'Welcome UserName' and then lists my simpoints. And even if I click the box that says to stay logged in, it doesn't.
If anyone could give me any suggestions or help, it would be greatly appreciated, because I'm at the end of my rope here. I've never had such a problem patching my game. I'd just like to get it back to playable condition, or else I'll never be able to get IP.
sorry to hear kaleidoscopes, can you tell me if the base game is installed and running and whether or not you have pull the sims doc folder, thanks

Hi I have been trying to update my game, i tried uninstalling the sims 3 and origin and then reinstalling them and still can not update I have lost all of my worlds and families and everything. I keep getting a message pop up that says can not connect to EA Download manager which i dont understand bc thats how I got the game. Im really frustrated bc I just bought generations and university life and now i cant play university life bc my game isnt up to date apparently PLEASE HELP
