i just got a new imac and im having an issue when i start up, it gets to the blue screen with the green sims symbol and then just crashes with no error messages or anything. :x just spent literally 2 days downloading and re-installing all my expansion and stuff packs, (had to download them off origin after having difficulty with the disks) and now this!!!!!! not happy. they worked fine on my white macbook before i started using this one, so why the sudden crashing!! it's also asked me to download the update multiple times, i just want to play the game :evil:

Did this problem ever get solved. I just got my 13" MacBook Pro in January, so it already has lion. It is the same as me, as soon as I go to love mode it freezes. Any help?
I also have a brand new iMac and these are the issues I'm experiencing;
- Cannot login on the launcher. Probably unrelated.
- Random crashes with no error message.
- Random crashes with error message 12.
- Crashes during saving on occasion, with/without error message 12.
- Occasional freezing, sometimes followed by aforementioned crashing.
- Vanishing textures on active Sims and Pets in CAS.
This all happens within the space of around 30 minutes of gameplay, so realistically it's unplayable.
I'm planning on upgrading my RAM for my second year of university, so if an increase in memory helps at all I'll let you guys know. Not really sure, though. Meh.

I get unhandled exception blah blah some numbers and then do you wish to debug it, of course it makes no difference if i choose yes or no. I get it at different times, mostly in CAS but I can play at max maybe 5 min in gameplay before it crashes. About seven or eight months ago I use to play on my mac normally and it worked fine and no crashes and nothing, then after I installed a ep (don't remember which one) in started getting that message and I just could get rid of it. Then I got a HP spectreXP from my school, it was a very new model, bad memory (maybe 20 gb for all ep and two sp, I had loads of school projects) , bad RAM, the only thing that was good was the intel core i7. It worked like heaven, I mean nothing ever happened to it, no crashes, no error, NOTHING! I had so much CC, many mods and literally hundreds of poses and it was really smooth to play. Then I got a similar error like the mac one, almost identical plus another one so I had two errors at the same time. This was easily fixed, it had to do with the fact that when a sims game is uninstalled its not always correctly uninstalled, so there where files that where there that shouldn't be there. And it's weird b'cus it was almost identical to the mac one, but still can't be easily fixed on macs. Okay so, then we had to turn in the pc's just before this summer vacations (beginning if June) so I couldn't play anymore. So I installed it on my iMac again.... This time I payed for months worth out any problem, not that message once, not ONCE. And I had all ep up to uni and one sp installed. There is a deal for people in Europe and they get a free sp when they buy island paradise, so I bought it... So i bought island paradise and master suite through origin as downloads and installed them and everything worked fine. Then I tried to play it... 5 min into CAS I got the unhandled exception message and I thought it wouldn't happen again. But it did... I haven't been able to play for more than 5 min in CAS, It :-) even :-) crashes :-) before :-)I :-)get :-)to :-)formal :-)attire :-). I tried choosing a ready made sim that i made earlier from the catalog and changed nothing except the name. I bought a house boat and started building on it and there, the message AGAIN. I've literally tried over 20 times without success, I just spent 40$ on a new ep, oh god what a waste of money. I'm so ****** of right now. I even bought an iMac just b'cus I was going to be able TO PLAY, I SPENT OVER 2 300 $ TO BUY A MAC, JUST BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WOULD WORK BETTER THEN ON A MACBOOK, I WISH EA knew how I feel, I'm so so mad, they've literally made me spent approximately maybe 2700 (?) $ all together, money I want back. :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: god I hate ea right now

After launcher a big box appears with a big green diamond (you know, the sims logo) and everything is stuck. I have to force close it.
