I have a problem. The neighbourhood loads just fine, but the game crashes every time I try to make a sim in CAS. Any ideas why?

Yes, but my game works just fine otherwise. It just crashes with the Paris neighbourhood. I only have 13 package files, one of which is for the Paris neighbourhood. Rest of them are Sims3Pack files.

Hi, I'm interested in downloading this, however I want to know..how many 64x64 residential lots are there? I'm playing with pets and I'm looking for a world in which will provide great building area for the horses.

The Sims Keys also has a Paris: http://www.thesimsk.com/paris2/

I like and have played Eddem's Paris. It does seem to be a bit too rural for a major city like paris. However it is an older world and this is to be expected.

The Sims Keys world has a more urban feel to it, and it has been updated since its original release. But I really have not played it. I am concerned that 320 lots might be a source of lag.

Hi Eddem (and everybody out there)

I´ve just found this thread and after the rec from tjstreak (he is not sweet at all with custom worlds and I trust him in those matters) I have download your Paris.

As he says it is somehow rural for the times being so I wanted to change it a little bit like you can see in these pics below

BTW those deco-buildings are great tjstreak

But... I use to do these changes openning the world in CAW to have a real new world to my taste, it is made allways just for my private use (never mind what tjstreak would say about it that we all know...) and I tried to do this with yours, mostly to enclose it with Distant terrain and to paint the ground with a concret texture more likely with a city world. I couldn´t
    and I got this message

I don´t know what this means at all so, have you make anything to prevent the world from beeing opened? and, would you be so kind as to give me the CAW files if you still have them?

Hope you read this thread and you don´t mind all I have told to you, and thankyou very much in any case, I really like your world.

Yes, I recognize the buildings, and particularly the Seattle building (which is an actual building in Seattle). I would note there is a Paris city available in flight simulator. For someone wanting to spend a little time, it should not be all that difficult to convert those buildings to the Sims 3. I can't find the link offhand, but I have flown around this scenery. It could do quite nicely for filling in Edem's Paris.

    Hi Tjstreak

It would be great to have real Paris buildings to place in this world but while you are very talented with all these designing works, I am just as a monkey in front of a Bible, so I go following your steps downloading anything you upload and I can find.
I just wanted to give this world the looking of a city, I am still in it, as I have gotten a clue to fix the issue I pointed up there.

BTW thankyou again for the Basic DT, it is the most helpfull tool I have ever seen for CAW, in the making of my last world I saved almost a week of headaches with it!

Making a bunch of Parisian buildings, while quite doable, is not on my things to do list. In fact, I have been losing interest in the Sims, especially with the announcement of the Sims 4. Unfortunately, EA has let the game become stale.

The truth of the matter is, I have figured out how to do the building conversions, which was the real challenge. Now it's just tedium doing it.

The good news is, I have put up tutorials on doing those conversions, which a number of sims have taken advantage of. I figure that with the tutorials, no one can say, they don't know how to do it, or that it is too difficult. It's just a matter of taking the time and trouble to do it. I also figure that is someone does not feel that it is worth their time and effort, it's not worth my time and effort, either.

You are right at all! I don´t need this world to be more accurated to Paris. It is allright for me now.

I took my time and trouble to make the buildings (45) from my homecity (Madrid) and I made two worlds with this inspiration, for Paris I have enough with this one arranged to look as it is now and working as a vacation target, I don´t want anymore of it so I will not work anymore on it.
