Argh, the game crashed! Error that needed to be debugged or whatever, I am on a Mac so I am sure other mac users know what I mean. I was really happy with how my sim was looking too! Oh well I can start the game up again and start over, at least I know what everyday outfit I want her to wear.

I've still been having issues with my game crashing still and have yet to make my sim, the last time I was ALMOST done too and it didn't even tell me WHY it crashed that time.

I'm on Mac, and I deal with crashing in CAS rarely.
To reduce the risk of crashing, let all your clothing items in a selected category load before clicking anything. Try it.
Congrats everyone on getting you game. My game won't come until tomorrow! It's ok though. I have been so obsessed with playing The Last of Us on my PS3 that it took my mind off of the sims. Love the pics! :-) Thanks for sharing them.
Hey everyone, I just started my blog for my legacy on Isla Paradiso. I wasn't able to get any game play in last night because it kept crashing in CAS but I finally just used one of my saved sims that had the same look as the one I was making and edited her to how I wanted her to look. It was after 4Am when I was done so I went to bed after moving her onto the biggest lot. Now I just got done setting the blog up and I already have the first post started, but it might take me some time to get it posted. Where in the word do you go to download your island survival pack? I can't find it anywhere! I never received the Carnival Pack either. It's driving me up the wall and I just keep getting mad.

Go to thesims3.com/incentive/islandredemption and enter the code for the survival pack (4 sets of 4 characters), then go to the store and look in your purchase history.
Here are a few pictures from my play this evening. Had a little trouble with the snorkeling at first, but it turned out to be a mod that hadn't been updated yet.
This is my new Sim for IP, Zachary Ward; I'm playing him to test out all the features before I move over one of my current saves.
I think the water taxi is so cool 8)
Zachary is a writer; eventually he'll do his writing on his houseboat but for now he's using the free computers at the library:
Finally got my mod situation worked out so I could snorkel without resetting:
When he's not in the water or at the computer, he's chatting up the ladies:
While he was out collecting he got lucky with a meteor strike on a vacant lot (okay, maybe I helped a bit with a mod ):
And he made enough money so he could ditch the cabs and get his own aqua sled -- now it's easier for him to go collecting all those gemstones around the islands:
