WHY IS PATCHING SO FREAKING HARD?! 1.55 issues

HI! I just installed the latest patch in the sims 3, it was wrong of me not to take precautions but I was excited about what seemed great new patch updates. but now I cannot play my game at all! I tried loading a saved game with a costume world, nope
another saved file, nope
another saved file with an ea world, nope

I use a lot of cc, and have been very careful with corrupt cc, I use mods and stuff, and have a windows 8, can't remember my graphics card name but It had been working perfectly up till now. AND I WANT TO PLAY

if you havent yet pull mods folder and clean out cache if that doesnt work pull whole sims 3 folder
