I mentioned a few posts back that I may be judging in an up and coming competition, and it's finally been launched. Even if I don't get the chance to judge, I can recommend this competition and its host for being incredibly supportive, helpful and a great learning curve for anyone in the sims modelling business.

NiNjahawkz, :shock: Your pictures look amazing! I've been thinking about getting HQ mod, is it actually worth it and how much of a difference does it actually make?
I think that if you already have awesome graphics, the hq mod may not make too much of a difference. I got it sort of recently, and for me, it's definitely noticeable. Like if I zoom into my sim's face on cameramode, the skin and features are really detailed. And also I (unfortunately) have only really been taking pictures with my game recently, so I haven't worried about it slowing down my gameplay. I think that it depends for everyone
Ninja, I'm literally going to collage of all your sims and make wallpaper out of them and surround myself with their beauty and stare until my eyeballs dry up because they're so majestic

It makes those textures more high resolution

Thanks for the info! I think I might get it then. My graphics aren't bad or anything, but they aren't close to as awesome as Ninja's either. If I download it, I hope it makes s-club's new eyeshadow look better, for some reason it looks all smudged in my game. :? I also love taking pictures in my game, so if it makes a noticeable difference, then it'd be worth it!
