Are there any worlds available suitable for this challenge that either don't use EPs or SPs because I think the fact that I don't have the EPs required (Showtime) is causing some crashing/not responding issues.
sorry I did not log on yesterday. My daughter is pregnant and about to pop any day now and will be induced on Thursday if the baby does not come sooner .... so I have been a bit bisy in rl.
Yes I believe there are some good ones you can use .... I can also upload some of the challenge lots for you to use on a different world ... The worlds I recommended on page one work very well ... I'll go see exactly what they require and post for you.

Hi! I just started your challenge and its a lot of fun! It seemed really easy, but as I was playing I realized it wasn't as easy as I thought! I really enjoy it. I'm playing with all 4 seasons, and the snow is quite difficult. However Igloos make good cover!
I am so glad you are enjoying it! I find having winter turned on makes it a much harder challenge too as there are no plants to harvest and resources are much harder to find under the snow as well as needing shelter to keep from freezing to death!

Started this challenge the other day and I have really been enjoying it. Nearly done with challenge #2, which brings up a question since I was looking at the requirements for 3 and 4.
I noticed that the Barren Banks lot that comes with the world you created is a community lot, yet I am supposed to befriend some of the sims living there and move into it according to the challenge. Do I need to download and place the lot with sims you created, or is my map just goofed?
I have the barren banks with the castaways in my studio ready to be downloaded and placed in your world .... I usually like to add them after completing challenge 2, simply bull doze and change the lot to residential and place the new lot OR ...add your own sims after changing the lot to residential for the challenge.
As for having fun with it, it's been really amusing. I think half the reason most of us do these challenges is because we secretly love torturing our sims. :P
Lara has had a few issues, mostly the game being extremely frustrating on giving her dive well pieces. The first well took me ten sim days to get all the pieces for. During that time I built and deleted four push statues, a sarcophagus of kings and three of the normal ones before I got the final piece. Needless to say she was not happy and very stinky by that point lol.
Her other issue seems to be storms. The first one hit the first night and half the next day, so she was soaked, angry and got hit by lightning near the end of it. Since then my first priority has been some kind of roof over her head since the dive wells are being evil.
Still though it's been fun and she's still alive and just moved on to challenge #3, so doing good!

Those darn dive well pieces can be hard to find sometimes. The fastest I've found them was 1 sim week, though I had one sim take 3 weeks to find the last piece!

Yeah I freely admit to planning to cheat a bit on the dive well for challenge #4. I am gathering pieces now and going to take them with me when I move and then just build once I have the resources. I figure gathering 80 for the well and 80 for the tent is challenge enough without the horror of dive well piece hunting.

I uploaded it to my studio so those who wanted to, could do the challenge and use any world they wanted.
... I'm gonna need to add the Tuzu tomb to my studios too, for those using other worlds!

I hope to update and maybe even add some more challenges after IP comes out. I can not wait for the new castaway content!
