How much CC do you have?

«13
Hey, everyone!

Simple question: How much CC do you have in your game?

Downloads Folder (Sims3Packs): 3.34GB
Mods Folder (Package Files): 5.08GB

Yikes...I have a lot of CC. Most of it is merged too. >_<

I only use scripting mods like Twallan stuff. I don't use any content mods or CC anymore. It was just too much hassle. I think I've got a few CC patterns floating around on the PC.

This. It got to the point that whenever a new patch would come out my game would start crashing, and I had so much cc that I didn't know which one was causing it! So I removed it altogether and now just use 4 of Twallan's mods.

literally three to four items and a custom skin or two. I ascertained a while back that mods are safe, still not sure about CC. It's too much of a hassle to make sure all your CC is good and doesn't slow down the game.

    Downloads (sim3packs) 231 files 606 MB
They have all been checked with Custard

    Edit:

I had alot more from the Exchange, but I had to get rid of it when I found out it had corrupt packages going through it with Custard.

I don't have as much as I used to. I normally have (.package) files and I never really have used 3PCC (.sims3pack) files. I do own the entire store though.

I just recently removed a lot of CC and several mods..

Before - ( I saved a copy to desktop in case I needed it later on )

    Downloads Folder (Sims3Packs): 13.3 GB
Mods Folder (Package Files): 3.25 GB

    After -

    Downloads Folder (Sims3Packs): 6.48 GB
Mods Folder (Package Files): 3.13 GB

I didn't have a problem with loading, lag or playing my game, I just couldn't find anything. Every time I would try to look for something I would have to go through rows and rows of objects to find what I was looking for. Even having them organized into folders didn't really help because then I started getting overwhelmed with those too.
So I decluttered my files and only kept what I really loved and used frequently.

I use a ton of Mods, I'm so picky with my game. Every time there is a new patch I wait for Twallan to update all of his Mods and Twoftmama's 10 day pregnancy. Then I add the rest back into my game as they are updated. Usually doesn't take too long most Mod creators seem to be on top of updates, or at least the ones I use.

I don't have quite this much, but I am close. None of it is compacted/merged. I'm at about 15GB total (including mods)

    > @JustKeepSimming well i don't know how many GB and stuff but i have 984 cc :dizzy:
  • KayosCatalystKayosCatalyst Posts: 313 Member
In my package file there is 11.3GB made up of 752 files (most of my cc is merged into 10 or so really big files but the rest of it is mods, poses, sliders and cc i haven't merged yet)

I don't even want to think about how much is installed via sims3pack.

Oh dear god, I have 13.8 GB in downloads
(it might be a bit less since I have sub-folders in the downloads folder, so there some stuff i probably have twice, but not far from that above number)

by the way, I think most of is store content and not third party content. the third party content I do clean once in a while.

CC is a dangerous thing. It can be addictive. :( I was free of addiction a few months ago. Now... I'm slowly starting to accumulate hair/dresses for the females and hair for males. And other items of more dubious interest...to the fairer gender (like cars and other items that cannot be mentioned here on this forum - I'm sorry, I'm male...more toys...more cars... BWA HA HA HA HA...)

I've got a serious overload of CC which isn't as bad as my 700 Mod package files in my heavily Modded game.My Mod addiction is worse than my addiction to CC with the new CC I added to my packages folder today.I've even got a few CC blueprints I made myself installed and can share the files with other folders.

I did some checking - somewhere between 20 and 40 GB. How is my game not broken?
