Family Tree Problem

There is a bit of a problem with my Sim families family tree. I went to click on it and view it but it won't go to it for any of the Sims in the family except for the two Sims that I had married into the family. It lets me view those two just fine but when I switch to either of the husband Sims of those two Sims on their family tree page it shows their family tree as being blank. I would like to be able to see the whole family tree but it wont let me. Has anyone else had this happen in their game or know why it is doing this?

I used to have family tree problems constantly and stopped playing with families for years because of constantly broken family trees.

These days I have Master Controller and haven't had a problem with family trees since then. And I occasionally add new sims to the family tree using that mod. Unfortunately I know of no way to fix the broken family trees without a mod.

Oh, I see. I don't use mods in my game so I guess if there isn't any other way to fix it then I just won't be able to see all of their family tree. I have had it where some Sims died and it still showed them in the family tree like they were still alive but I've never had this other problem with the family tree before until now.

The problem I had mostly was toddlers dropping off the family tree and becoming a stranger to their mother who sometimes didn't take care of them. As a result I started making new households of 8 unrelated young adults and playing with them until I got bored with them, then I'd make another household of 8 unrelated young adults. That's how I ended up with hundreds of young adult sims and when I wanted extra townies for my Big Game I added the old households of 8 unrelated young adults who usually had quite a few skills by then. I didn't put mods into my game until after Sims 4 was released. Actually I did add Error Trap and Overwatch after I found I couldn't play in Isla Paradiso without them. So I played modless from June 2009 until a few months after Island Paradise was released. They after Sims 4 was released I started adding other mods and cc to my game.

Oh, yeah I can see how that would be a problem if they completely went off the family tree like that. Especially if it was toddlers Sims like in your game because if the Sims that were suppose to be it's parent weren't taking care of it then the social worker probably would come and take them away. I don't think my Sim family tree is completely broken as I can see some of it since I can view those two Sims that married into the family just fine and also I moved one set of them out of the original house and built them their own house to start their own family and they have one child that just age transitioned to Toddler. If click on the family tree picture from the Child's page it goes to it just fine and I can see the parents and grandparents on it but clicking on most of the other Sims pictures on it results in showing a blank family tree. Hopefully the family tree doesn't get completely broken and I can still at least see some of it. So, while it is a little annoying I don't think it would keep me from playing the game.
