    I think we're getting some Sims 4 info today and Arnie has a big secret to reveal at 2pm.





    For those not familiar with Arnie some of his most popular content is the Open World mod, Farmland mod, and Plumfruit mod.

    OK. I was wrong. He'll be working on his own game. Retitled thread Arnie's Workshop.

      That sounds intriguing but it's most likely a mod. If he had a collaboration with EA I am sure EA would have handled any announcement, not him.

      Sims first ever collaboration with a modder is real exciting! I really wonder what it could be tho, are they perhaps bringing some of his mods into the game officially? Or is something completely different happening?

      His announcement is at 2pm. EA usually announces at 11am or 1pm. So if there is a collab EA would be the first to announce. Of course this is the speculation forum so we'll see. :p

      Wow that would be super exciting if they were collabing with him, but I sort of agree with @crocobaura in the fact that I wouldn't imagine that The Sims would allow him to be saying anything until they actually announced it first.

      Plus, he did state that he saw rumors when people were speculating that he was somehow involved with the upcoming packs and that he was not involved in that and that wasn't what his big announcement would be.

      He said he was stressed. So it must be some serious announcement. He couldn't be announcing the Sims 5 and him getting married is not really relevant enough to us to get us excited. So, he must be joining the Paralives team. :smiley:

      Arnie has always done the "big reveals" for his big mods and announced them like this. I have my Youtube reminder set to ON as I am very excited to see what he has in store for the game!!!

      @alan650111 you're right. I looked back through his Twitter and most of his releases are sensational. πŸ˜„ I did see a few tweets on a color wheel he was working on back in September of last year. Maybe it's that.

      I would be thrilled if he was able to integrate the color wheel even better versus that great mod. I have that one but it's limited to a handful of items. However there are no complaints because of the amazing feat that is in itself. Modders are truly talented and I would not have stuck with Sims 4 as long if it wasn't for the amazing mod scene!

      Arnie is leaving the Sims modding community to focus on making his own, original games. He's making his own game studio, Arnie's Workshop.

      Very cool! He'll be missed in the Sims community but it's so awesome he's doing something that he loves without the restrictions of modding an ever changing game.

      Who knows maybe some day we'll be playing his game!

      I'm really happy for Arnie, I hope it goes well for his new Indie Studio.

      As for the sims4 and him quitting the modding community, well... I feel that The Sims4 is getting very dragged out so I understand him.

      Everyone should do what makes them happy. I feel like he didn't handle negative feedback well
      and stressed out easily. (You know how people get over mod updates and errors)
      I understand not wanting to update over and over because he always focused on really BIG mods that takes a lot of work. For a game that updates all the time I think it's better to stick to smaller mods. Besides mcccomand I try not to even use any mods that make a lot of changes to the game.
      Mainly traits and functional objects.

      Though I feel like he was a little too dramatic knowing simmers were waiting for him to announce big news about a mod. πŸ₯² I never used his mods besides the casino stuff but imagine how disappointed a lot of them were after all that build up πŸ₯΄

      Not many. The majority of comments on Twitter are positive. Wishing him the best for his new venture.
