I've really enjoyed the threads about Newcrest, Oasis Springs and Willow Creek. There has been so much inspiration and good advice and tips. I've even learnt things I didn't know before! So I think it's time for the none base game worlds, and since I just bought City Living, San Myshuno is the perfect place to start.
So throw some inspiration at me, what have you done to San My? (Feel free to include apartments and decorations you've done that you're happy with).

The arts district has a community centre (one of the ones you can vote for making, garden or market) and then my would-be-superstar lives in the penthouse apartment.
Uptown still has a rooftop lounge, but I changed the other lot to a McSims.
The spice district has an edited residential and a nightclub.
Myshuno Meadows has a downloaded wedding venue but I haven't tried it out yet so I don't know if it's a keeper.
Do you have a link or creator name for this lot? It looks very pretty.
So I guess I'll just lurk around here to get some inspiration from what other people have done to San Myshuno.

Since apartments is a big part of the packs, I'm happy to see what people have done with the apartments too.
I did my first apartment today, moving in gardener and islander Kainalu and his posh suburban fashion stylist wife Anita. (I think you can tell which of them decorated the place). Obviously it's one of the bigger apartments in the fashion district. Anita wouldn't have it any other way.

Some changes are made to the community lots. A sim called Maria Bruun is your guide on this short journey.

Stargazer Lounge
Apartments have to wait as I don't feel like sending Maria home now. Her social needs are a bit low, so she might like staying at Stargazer Lounge for a while.
Maria went home later after getting dizzy from a drink. She lives with Advik Srinivasan in the apartment next door to the Karaoke Legends.

but i was lacking inspo so haven't yet
maybe I'll do some type of greenhouse thing too
though this looks so detailed that I would probably get little too overwhelmed with it when playing
also loving observatory idea i guess ill have to see how it goes later

You did a fantastic job with that! Apartments are so easy and fun to mess around with.
I even have all the lots set exactly the same as the base in terms of lot type except for Waterside Warble which I turned into an Experimental Food restaurant...because I didn't see the need for 2 karaoke bars in the same world and having a restaurant with Experimental Food just makes so much sense in the city.
All of the lots and builds I got from the gallery are fantastic though. I use Myshuno Meadows more than any other Wedding and Party Venue in my game, and I visit the lounge, bars, Art Center and Restaurant a LOT.

The first thing I tried to do was to make the Karaoke Bar in the Fashion District a lot that would make more sense being next to the GeekCon festival, but it was too distracting for GeekCon, so I put the Karaoke bar back and my sims spend time there after GeekCon.
I renovated the Old Salt house in the Spice Market to be larger with more rooms.
I intend to use it as a rental for sims who want to stay multiple days in San Myshuno and take in the festivals, the lounges and bars, and the restaurant that I placed there.
I replaced the lot that used to be here with a small park.
This is the landing lot for anyone going to a festival, so I changed it to something less distracting.
I put in a restaurant here in the Arts Quarter for a nice San Myshuno dining experience
I updated the Art Museum to be more of a cultural museum with Selvadorada content.
I did it mostly for my Stylist sims who come here for style inspiration.
I also added some Uni research computers.
Over at Uptown, I renovated the Stargazer lounge.
I did not like that it was outdoors, because of Seasons,
so I enclosed it with walls, except for the pool. Now everyone is protected from the weather.
And finally there is my Sky Fitness Spa.
I tweaked the interior to add items for Yoga and Meditation and a basketball court on the upper level.
I don’ take pictures, but I made community spaces out of the salt house, the house itself is pretty much the same on the outside, although with an outdoor food stand place, market tables, and a harvestable garden. I was pleasantly surprised to see sims using all 3 things (maker stuff, selling stuff at the tables, and working the garden ) the last time I visited the lot, my loaded up on candle and dye supplies!
With out changing the Original Karaoke bars too much, I did add some extra upper floors and basements to them. With things like a bowling ally in one basement, and a toddler area and laundry in the other. Inside, I added a bubbler blower in one and some instruments, One, I added a dance floor. One of the Karaoke bars has a swing and a sand box for toddlers or children, and one of the has a scout floor with a scout office and a fun place for my scouts to gather with table games, projects, toys, ice cream maker and even a podium for making speeches.
Right now my Langrabbs are living in the penthouse, but I have fixed up an apartment for them, and there sons, with a bedroom for the butler, cook, and live in maid ( in the Landgrabbs own apartment building ), and I plan to transfer them there soon because I want to make a big retail store/gathering place for teens out of the penthouse ( rather like a mall ). The Landgrabbs will definitely be the owner ( one of the few families I cheat with ). Oh and I made a rental out of the small lot on top, in one of the areas, it’s a party place.
I really want another town with apartments like this one. If they ever redo Del Sol Valley, I would love to see apartments and beach lots there.
San Myshuno ranks among one of my favorite towns! And although I don’t do the picture thing, I sure love seeing everyone else’s pictures on these threads, it gives me good ideas.
I love your pool in the Tree Top Oasis. Is that the lot where the original pool lot in San Myshuno was?
And, do you have that on the gallery? If so is the lot called Treetop Oasis, And what is your gallery name?
I won't take credit for that one. My building skills aren't at that level yet.😁
I haven't done much with San Myshuno, other than renovating the apartments of all the premades living there.

maybe i'll add more detailed pics later but this is what I have at the moment
Overall map:
not huge differences here as I've mostly been doing apartments but
Spice Market
I placed roomies into one of the apartments and edited it just a little (will maybe edit it more later)
other apartments I have apartment for Angsty and additional roommate (or so i've decided)
you can sort of see the posters on wall
and then theres apartment i divided in 2
and I think would be great for writer and idk maybe like musician could be fun addition idk yet
+ I have yet to edit Rajs but he will continue to live in same apartment
Bheedas are still there (except aliens stole their kids so their life ain't too good )
and I was thinking of doing like burglar next door but idk yet if I'll keep that idea... I mean bheedas be suffering enough
(+i kept one karaoke machine)
backyard has gotten little trashy
but insides is still nice
well as long as you don't mind few dodgy sims hanging about and a possibility of pufferfish death

still empty for now though
but I have plans to add some club hangouts upstairs
and in basement
I did Benali place in my Patina story
but I might actually move him to spice market in that writer apartment
and Jangs just moved to apartment next door
cause I found their apartment smaller
hence nicer for someone else
but its still bit incomplete
think i might do medina as like occult apartment later
though I have feeling i might replace it later completely cause something about it annoys me
added office/recording studio upstairs for story purposes
downstairs is somewhat similar to original
is also incomplete and mostly the same
but its really just mix of many things like I want to make actual apartment like urbz apartments
but then I also want yoga hangout and rooftop garden... confused yet?
but I think I will move them together in Pennys apartment eventually
I just kinda really want to use tiny living there but I don't have it yet cause they won't put it on sale *pouts*
so its been kinda paused there for a while
actually moved karaoke legends to next door
cause I felt like it was really awkward trying to fit darling in my redo of their old apartment
but tbh its still awkward maybe she just needs to move out...
I have love hate relationship with Landgraab one cause I love the entrance
but insides is too complicated so I'll definitely need to re edit it at some point

In my save, my second build was the park. I visited it once, and OMG the original is so in need of some TLC. I was utterly inspired by the greenhouses in the pictures you showed @elanorbreton, got me thinking of botanical gardens and so I went looking and found this version by mlyssimblr: https://faerietalesims-ccfinds.tumblr.com/post/170813205186 and downloaded that.
Now since I don't have half the packs she does, it took some work to make it work for my game, but here is the result. Myshunos park and botanical gardens:

In my head Kainalu is now the gardener here, and I can use his vacation days to go with him to work (as I have holidays enough in games to never use them anyway). I might add a podium for politicians to give speeches from as well. Not sure yet.
I don't have a wedding area either, but I figure that can be added when and if I want to use it.

It could be that after my San Myshuno premades get to Elder (takes a while since it's a large rotation) some of them will preside over some changes to the community lots. We'll see. So far I haven't played that save since Neighborhood Stories.
