@Simgirl1010 Is that like a Taco Bell on bottom left corner?
Sort of. Mexican but a little more upscale than Taco Bell. I downloaded it from the Gallery because there's a similarly named restaurant near me. Banditos Tacos and Tequila.
I'm surprised more people haven't shared what their Oasis Springs looks like. These threads where people show their worlds and what lots they put on them are some of my favorites, but I guess I'm in a minority on that feeling.
I really like these threads too, it is interesting to see how similar or different people make their worlds to your own.
Being somewhat OCD I am always amazed at people who can manage to carry on and play with only a partially filled world. I really couldn't do that, it would totally freak me out 😄
Yeah I was thinking of maybe doing like bigger arrangement of them for the park lot or the landgraab lot for like little world of my own in there but I feel like i need to get more familiar with them first before starting such huge project
I'm not a builder, but I do raze everything down to the ground and download every single lot. I don't have a single premade lot left in any of my worlds. The exceptions to the "none of my own builds" rule are actually a smattering of lots in Oasis Springs and Strangerville, mostly because I lived in Albuquerque for about 6 years and am fond of desert architecture.
Here is my Oasis Springs, starting with the poor neighborhood:
The big lot is my reconstruction of my student housing in Albuquerque, down to the ping pong table in the covered porch. There is also a bar, a boho rental and a car repair shop (both built by talented simmers), as well as a nice starter home I based on a real listing in Albuquerque.
The middle class neighborhood consists entirely of lots by The Simline, from his "that 70's save" series. It reminds me a lot of suburban Albuquerque. I'm especially fond of the pool.
The upper middle class/posh neighborhood is a mix of lots from Silrosse and Maydussa
The central park is by RoxxySims
The commercial district consists entirely of lots by Silrosse. Most of them are from her "Maristella" save but only one of them is placed where it was designed to. The coffeeshop on the far left was built by her for Strangerville and edited heavily by me.
I'm surprised more people haven't shared what their Oasis Springs looks like. These threads where people show their worlds and what lots they put on them are some of my favorites, but I guess I'm in a minority on that feeling.
I'd love to show mine but it's still a WIP. Working on Willow Creek right now.
Most OS premades are still living here, some in new homes. A few of my own sims + made-over townies occupy the residential lots.
The most recent change I made was turning the top lot into a wedding venue. Nina and Don got married there when it was still a lounge.

I don’t play or build in Oasis Springs often at all, but I built something in place of the park once. It’s a Sims version of Burning Man I called Flaming Gnome. So, it’s meant for simulating a festival.
My Oasis Springs are usually quite ordinary. I often just take out the lounge and museum, and place a restaurant and spa. Other times I just let those buildings stay. I won't always bother to build anything on the empty lots, unless I need to have sims living there. Premades stay in my game, so they also live in the same houses, most of the time I don't do anything to their homes.
@Spend4zen, I love redoing all of the worlds. It's always the first thing I do when I start a new game [...]
I spend days and days in the new game on lot renovations before ever loading up a household to play in LIVE mode.
Same for me.
I have 4 saves. I have started them as new games, but I have saved the lots to my library so I have set up the worlds in each my saves very similar (by placing the lots to the same spots), because I like the lots and I like that my different sims in my different saves can use the same lots (Especially meaning community lots. Some residential lots might be different in different saves, since I like variety, so my sims can live in different style houses).
Only in 1 save, there is few lots different (in different worlds) than in other saves, because it's my "Supernatural" -save and the only save that I play occults (in other saves I ignore the occults and delete them). So for example in this "Supernatural" -save there is also Aliens living in Oasis Springs.
I also like these threads very much,
it's great to see how other players' worlds look like. Oasis Springs is one of my favorite worlds. I will later show my version, but it's still: work in progress (few lots needs to be changed/built), so I'll return later with pictures of my ready version. And since my "Supernatural" -save's Oasis Springs is a little bit different, I might later show that version as well 😊

If you have a Windows PC, it comes with the Snipping Tool or Snip & Sketch. You minimise your game to set it up, select new snip with a 3 second delay then open your game and snip a copy of your screen. That's how I do my world pics.
Many of my celebrities live/lived in Oasis Springs, but there are also some very rundown lots in Bedrock Strait Holly Alto lives there and the decay of her neighbourhood inspires her paintings.
Johnny Zest and Luna Villareal lived in Cacti Casa during their rather short marriage. Now the house is a rental lot and sims can rent it and live like Johnny and Luna. By the way, currently Johnny lives with his son Jonah Zest in Skyward Palms.
Brytani Cho had a villa in Acquisition Butte, but after her death Thorne and Orange Bailey moved there. Jonah and Orange are friends and Johnny and Thorne also hang out.
Any of my main families don't currently live in Oasis Springs, so I haven't played there much lately, but I'm quite happy with the world and it will be fun once some of my sims move there (or go on a vacation!). After a small renovation Burners & Builders gym has been a very popular place. Desert Bloom park is a great place to kill sims during heat waves.
Most of the builds are from the gallery and some of them I have edited a bit
I prefer the simpler Snipping Tool over the Snip and Sketch app.
Just select Start or tap the windows key and then type Snipping Tool - it will pop up at the top of the Start Menu. Right click it and select add to Taskbar and it will always be there for you.
It is dead simple to use and you can do full screen shots or just select a rectangle etc.
You can also just use the Print Screen key and then paste into a graphics program like Paint.

Built one more lot in my Oasis
I figured my sims need arcade
so here is Futures Past Arcade
Upstairs is a pc bang/other gaming
with toilets ofc so your sims can relieve themselves
and downstairs is the actual arcade machines
at first venue was looking reeeallly quiet so i was bit worried
I mean vibe of its own i guess
but soon enough teens and kids flooded the place
(funny I didn't even add the lot trait maybe they just sensed the amount of electronics
I had no other age groups show up except like couple grandmas)
some of the teens got sad though idk why
maybe there is someone mean around hmm...

oh and ofcourse Johnny got to fall down in seasonal skating rink
that was all chill and nice too though cause sims 2 music was playing whole time
I haven't made any changes to Oasis Springs in my current save other than to add a new bar / bowling alley, restaurant and some houses I thought fit nicely, but this thread is very inspiring for ideas.
I always change everything in my worlds and try to be in harmony with their type. And I love Oasis Springs. It reminds me of the west of United States.
@elanorbreton & @ModerateOsprey, I'm so sorry but I don't comprehend modern tech terminology. Only a step-by-step simple picture instructions. I don't even know if I even have a snipping tool. Maybe there's a free download on Google, I don't know. It's so over my head. I'll try to research it somewhere.
@Serverfra, you said you were on Windows 10 in another thread, so you have it installed. It is a stock windows app.
You can run it by hitting the windows key + R (at the same time) to bring up the run command and then typing "Snippingtool.exe" (without the quotes) and then hitting the "okay" button.
The only part of Oasis Springs I've done something with so far is mirage canyon. Where I placed a cafe, pool, pet park and vet clinic that I found on the gallery.
