The hunt has been...interesting. I have at least two broken mods so far. One of the many mods I have from Carl's is broken, but it wasn't the cause of the original problem. I took everything out and I'm adding them back one folder at a time. When I put his folder back I got a brand new error code. It's a slow process but this way I can weed out every possible problem item.
It's been funny to see the extent of my cc addiction. I see something I like and I just download it. Here's a few funny stats I got by doing a quick search...
900 lipsticks (That doesn't include lip gloss, lip color, etc., just files that say lipstick)

But it isn't all CAS. I collect BB sets from a small group of creators. If they release a set I automatically download it if I feel like I might even think about possibly considering maybe possibly using at some point in the future.🤣 Basically if they released it, I downloaded it, no questions asked.😁
The latest version of TwistedMexi's Better Build Buy has a new feature called CC Report which in his words...
Added a CC Report option to the Construction Center menu, which will generate a list of all CC packages used in your current build.
So I can go to each of the lots run the report and then go back and weed out the items that aren't being used. All of the BB sets I download go into the creator's folder and then I put each set in another sub folder inside that main folder and put the set name on it. When I get to those I'm going to reinstall them one at a time to see if MCCC pops up and says it found an exception so I can fix it or flush it. I don't have discord so I can't go to Deaderpool to check out the exceptions that MCCC finds. Most are probably just broken CC and I wouldn't want to pester them for all of my broken CC even if I did have access.
@DaniRose2143 two programs that I use are "TwistedMexi's better exceptions" and "GameTimeDev's Sims 4 mod manager to find broken mods and cc" link to download the second is "http://gametimedev.de/S4MM/"
and updates all mods and cc that is downloaded from Curseforge and usually gives links to updates from the others if it isn't possible to auto update the mods and cc from creators sites patreon tumbler
@ZazzyKittyn Thank you for the link to GameTimeDev's mod manager! I've been using BE but I'm not sure how well it's been working. I see yellow triangles signaling that there's broken cc and yet when I open the tab it says there's no broken cc. And it flags TwistedMexi's own cheats as problems. I'm hoping the newest version works better, and so far it has. I have it and MCCC 7.1 installed to check the folders as I swap them in and out to see either one flags something.
@ZazzyKittyn I had updated to the newest version of BE but what was making me distrust it was over the last few months, no matter what I did there was always an exception that wouldn't clear. Even if I got an exception for a legitimate bad mod or piece of CC, once I cleared it I was left with an exception that had a low percentage chance of being a problem and it kept flagging TwistedMexi's own cheats and mods like 'Always MOO' or 'Always Full Edit'. It would say there was a 10, 20, or 30% chance that was the problem. If it said 'Always MOO' and I deleted it, then it would flag something else like 'Always Full Edit' or one of the other TM mods. I got to the point where I just felt like the mod was flawed and I ignored it or uninstalled it. Now I know the problem was the version of Venessa Jeong I plucked from my library and put into the Schemes and Dreams save. After I deleted her I'm no longer getting any exceptions in any of my saves.
It's funny how one innocent little thing can have such far reaching impacts, even outside of the save where that sim or object is.🙂
Danielle dreaming that she was a mermaid was a clever way to introduce mermaid Danielle. I still have a bit to go before I’m caught up, but I’m definitely enjoying the chapters so far!
My original plan was for Danielle to have that dream after having a few too many glasses of champagne at the reception. It was just supposed to be a funny little cutscene. I had a lot of fun turning Danielle into a mermaid and I thought I'd share some pictures. The pictures got more of a reaction than I was expecting so I started playing around with the idea of actually making her a mermaid as part of the story. No matter how much I thought about it I couldn't figure out a way to introduce an occult storyline into a story that was never setup to be occult based. I felt like I needed to at least try to wrap the whole mermaid thing up so this was what I came up with.
I really, really wanted to turn her into a mermaid but it just won't work. I would have had to introduce the possibility of occults from the beginning. It did give me an idea for a future story though when the day comes and this one ends.😁
I think it would be awesome to read an occult story whenever you get to it! And if you need a place to share anything merman 🧜🏼♂️ or mermaid 🧜🏻♀️. Feel free to share updates in the thread I created to give MerSims a spotlight.
An alternative universe could be an interesting story too.
@luciusstorm Thank you for giving me the warning. I do have all the chapters backed up on my hard drive and I still have all the images in my Imgur account, but I've had a few hours to think about the changes that are coming and what they mean for this story.
First, the story isn't done. I would love to have this story migrated over to the new forums, and I know it's been nominated(Thank you @luciusstorm, and anyone else who has nominated it too❤️), but I'm going to plan on it getting passed over. I think at this point it may be best to put the story on hiatus until we see how the nominations play out and which stories get migrated in full. If this one isn't one of the fortunate ones I have a couple of ideas. One would be to take the chapters that were 'lost', everything from the beginning through at least Londyn and Danielle's wedding and repost them later after the new forums open. The problem I see there is they would be out of order. Chapters 21 through 44 would appear first, followed by Chapters 1 through 20.
There's also the option to reboot the story and go back in time to shortly before Danielle arrived in Tartosa. It would give me a chance to show more of her backstory, along with Londyn, Matteo, and the rest of the main cast. I did leave some plot holes that I could fill in or just do a better job than I did the first time. I don't have to make any decisions just yet, I just need to be sure that as much of the content that can be migrated finds its way over to the new home.
Whichever way you ultimately decide to go, I look forward to reading more stories of romance, hope and love from Tartosa.
There will be a lot more to come.❤️ I'm looking forward to learning more about how the new forums will be setup and then I can make my final decision about how to move the story forward. In the meantime I think I'm going to start spending more time with Ray, Anna, and Mimi. Not that the sisterhood will be totally forgotten about. I still have the identity of Allegra's mysterious lover to reveal.😉

Yesterday and today have been a whirlwind so I'm running a bit behind on getting the long overdue next chapter finished. I'm done writing but even though I've added 30-40 pages to my Imgur recently, of course I'm missing a bunch of shots I want.😆
The sunlight danced on the crystalline blue waters of Tartosa Bay as the plane swept in to land. Londyn and Danielle had been up and at the security check in at Sulani International Airport as the starlit blackness of the tropical night began to give way to the first streaks of purple and blue marking the imminent arrival of dawn. Their flight had met head winds on its way back to Tartosa and they had just missed the chance to see the rise again over their home. The time away with friends and family had been filled with love and happy memories. From Liberty and Matteo's fairy tale wedding, the sisterhood's strengthening their bonds, to Londyn's decision to embrace her roots, everyone returned home to Tartosa better for the time together in paradise.
Summer had arranged to pick up the girls at the airport. Danielle and Londyn both sent her text messages teasing their new looks and she couldn't wait to see them. In spite of Danielle's texts she was still surprised to see her oldest friend come down the jetway sporting less than half the hair she'd had just twenty-four hours earlier.
"Oh my God, look at you two!" she gasped, her hands coming up and covering her mouth which had become an 'O'. "You're so beautiful! Both of you! Danielle, girl, I've never seen you with short hair but it looks amazing on you!"
"Thank you" Danielle said as she leaned in to give Summer a friendly kiss. "It still feels really strange. I keep reaching up to flip my hair back only to find there's nothing there to flip."
"Londyn, girlfriend, I didn't think it was possible for you to be any more beautiful than you already were, but I was wrong. I'm so happy for you. I know that going back to your natural hair is really personal. I love it and you should be proud. So let's get your stuff loaded up and get you two home."
"Thank you Summer" she said. "We really appreciate you doing this for us."
"Anything for my sisters."
Londyn grabbed her suitcase with one hand and one of Danielle's hands with the other and gave it a loving squeeze as she enjoyed the warm, salt-tinged Mediterranean breezes that were wafting through the Terminal's forecourt. They loaded their bags into the back of Summer's car and set off for their little island love nest, thankful for Summer's help and the invention of wheeled luggage. Since they always came back from their trips with more they left with they were especially thankful that the walk was downhill after they passed the curved portion of the path that overlooked the bay.
It felt wonderful to be home again. She grew up in Sulani, with the scents of the tropical flowers mingling with the salty air, enticing her senses, but Danielle was here. Tartosa was home now, though in truth wherever Danielle was at any moment was home to Londyn. Home wasn't a question of where. It was entirely a matter of who. Londyn's world revolved around a blonde star that outshone the wonders of the universe.
Words like eternity and forever were merely abstract concepts until she looked into Danielle's eyes, held her hands, or kissed her lips. In those moments they ceased to be theories and concepts and they became facts. They weren't cold hard facts, they were warm and loving, inviting her to open her heart and mind, to come and explore what lies beyond ordinary love.
After the kiss they grabbed their bags, hauled them inside and dumped them near the staircase. They kicked off their shoes and enjoyed the feel of the hard wood floors, not too hot, not too cold. There are few feelings like those moments when you first return home from a trip to remind you of the little joys and comforts you take for granted every day. Londyn had left her tablet stand at her parent's house so Danielle run upstairs and grabbed hers. They set up Londyn's tablet on the bar and settled on the plush comfy bar stools, eager to hear what Melissa had for Londyn. Nothing could have prepared them for what was to come. The screen flashed briefly and then Mel’s face appeared.
"Hi Londyn!" In that moment Londyn's new hairstyle registered with Melissa. "You finally did it! Congrats girl!" Melissa said. "How's it feel?"
"I love it. The straight hair and ponytail were ok, but I was tired of hiding who I am and playing the 'whole go along to get along' game. Sorry I didn't clue you in sooner but it all came together fast. This doesn't ruin any plans you had?"
"No. I just need to set up a time with a pro to get some new promotional photos. Not to worry I know who to get and you'll love her."
"What have you got for me girl?"
"Two, and if things break right you could do both. One's a movie, the other is the pilot for a TV series. Are you ok with tv work? Or do you want to stick to movies?"
"Actings acting Mel. I don't care which one."
"I love hearing you say that. Do you want both or just one?"
"If you can get me in I’d love to do both."
"Perfect. The movie is first and should wrap production before the tv series starts."
"When's the audition?"
"I think you missed something dear. You've got the parts. Both directors asked for you by name. All I have to do is make a couple calls to let two very happy directors know they have their star."
"WHAT?!" Londyn exclaimed a little louder than she'd intended. "You're kidding me?" Londyn said to Melissa's smiling face. "You're not kidding me? How? I haven't had a role since the Urbz movie. That was months ago."
"And you won an award for that performance. Starlight Accolades open doors girlfriend. The more of them you have the more doors that open, and the wider they open, but all you need is that first one to get noticed and get in. After that it's all up to you and your talent. Girlfriend, your a name in this town. Now make me proud and own those roles."
"What about the photoshoot?" As she asked the question she turned to Danielle feeling disbelief and euphoria swirling around her inside her being, threatening to topple her off her stool.
"As soon as we're done here and I confirm that you're accepting the roles, I'll make a call or two and get you booked. Are you ready to be a global superstar?"
"Umm...ye...yeah! I...I...I can't believe it. It's really happening."
"Better start believin', cause my girl's star is on the rise, ya'll!"
"Thank you Melissa" Danielle said after a couple seconds of Londyn's stunned silence, still draped around her soulmate reveling in the closeness and the happiness radiating off her in waves.
"Take care of each other ladies. Bye!" As soon as Mel's face disappeared Londyn let out a scream of excitement.
They were on their feet in an instant and Londyn took Danielle into her arms. The hug felt like it lasted only a moment, as Londyn's head spun. "I'm so proud of you baby. You've worked so hard to get where you are and you deserve every good thing coming your way. I love you more than words can say" Danielle whispered in her ear.
Londyn released the embrace so she could pull Danielle in for a kiss that set both their worlds on fire. The passion and excitement that flooded out of Londyn through her lips and into Danielle's made both of their heads spin as if they were drunk. The world swum in and out of focus.
Every dream Londyn had dreamt as a teenager; a wife, a beautiful home, and stardom were all within her grasp. Her lips were lovingly caressing the first dream, it was all happening right in the middle of the second, and the third and final part of her dreams was in her hands, all she had to do was hit those sets and pour every ounce of herself into the roles and her dreams would be that much closer to realization. A shiver of excitement and anticipation rippled through her from her head to her toes and Danielle felt it too. All of the dreams that filled her head at night as a child and later as a teen, none of them ever compared to what she had right now, especially what she had in her arms right now.
"Babe, I feel the same about you. I'm the luckiest woman in the world. Without you I'm nothing, with you there's nothing I can't do."
Melissa booked an appointment for Londyn with a professional in San Myshuno to get an entire portfolio of shots. She'd been on several photoshoots. She'd met Danielle while she was in Tartosa for one. As she stood there in the changing room with Danielle helping her get into what felt like her one-hundredth different dress her feet were killing her. The shoes they'd picked out for her were fabulously stylish but hideously uncomfortable. She preferred her heels that under four inches but the stylists were insistent on five, six, and even a pair of seven inch heels. Her feet already had blisters and there were blisters on those blisters. She'd turned her right ankle when she first tried setting off in the seven inch skyscrapers. Londyn exchanged a look with Danielle that said when she reached true star status she was going to insist on bringing her own heels to these photoshoots in the future. They weren't comfortable for all day wear but the heels she'd bought for herself weren't as bad as these. She admitted to herself as she checked her reflection in the mirror, they looked fabulous on her.
"Ready when you are Londyn" the photographer's assistant said through the dressing room door. For the next four hours it was one pose after another, one clothing change after another. Short dresses, gowns, sultry shots, head shots.
Londyn hobbled back to the dressing room for the third time. Danielle had been helping her get ready between takes. She had been there to be Londyn's strength as the marathon session had ground on. "Thank God this is the last round" Londyn said as she slipped into a blue pantsuit that dazzled and flattered like nothing Danielle had ever seen her in. Then came those murderous heels. "I don't mind photoshoots for the first couple of hours, but these all day affairs are murder on my feet. Next time I'm bringing a pair of sneaks to slip into. The straps on my wedges are going to hit right where half of these blisters are."
"You're a boss for getting through this."
"I'd kiss you but then it's back to makeup and I want to get this over with."
Danielle blew her a kiss before Londyn headed back into the studio for her final turn in front of the camera. "When you're done these lips will be waiting for you."
For the next hour Londyn flashed her megawatt smile and dazzled the room. Danielle was watching from the back of the room and felt a thrill as she watched Londyn in her element.
Danielle knew the pain Londyn was in from spending an entire day in heels, but she covered it up so well. By the time the shoot wrapped up the moon was beginning to rise on San Myshuno. When the photographer announced that the session was a wrap, Londyn kicked off her heels and launched them towards the head of the stairs leading down the second floor and the dressing room. It felt like a moment of liberation, the cool tile soothing her aching feet. Danielle felt bad that she hadn't thought to suggest sneakers and that she'd chosen to wear a pair of high heel boots herself. She hadn't needed to be on her feet all day so the choice hadn't been painful. It hurt her to see Londyn in pain, and she felt a pang of regret that she'd chosen to wear the boots instead of gym shoes. She could have swapped and worn Londyn's wedges home for her. As they reached the stairs Danielle gently grabbed Londyn's hand and pulled her to a stop so she could look her in the eyes. "I believe I promised you these lips would be waiting for you."
As Londyn changed Danielle fished into her purse and for the first time all afternoon she checked her phone. She got a pleasant surprise, a voicemail from her agent Jasmine.
"Hey Danielle. I hope you and Londyn are having fun at her photoshoot. I know you've been busy all day and haven't been home yet so I get to be the one to break the news to you. You need to get out your best gown and be in Del Sol Valley Sunday night for the Starlight Accolades, because "Undeniable" has been nominated for best book! I'm so proud of you! You are my little gem! Give me a call later when you get the chance because I have even more news for you. Congratulations dear. Take care of yourself, bye now!"
"Oh my God" she squealed. "I've been nominated for another Best Book accolade!" Londyn hobbled over, half dressed and gave her a kiss.
"Congrats babe. Let's get out of here, go home, and really celebrate" she said with a wink and a kiss.
Things were moving fast. Londyn barely had two days before she was due on set for her movie gig. Jasmine had revealed to Danielle that she had set up a tour of several morning shows the following week to have her promote 'Undeniable' and the followup book 'Boundless'. While 'Undeniable' was currently the darling of the romance genre and bestseller lists, 'Boundless' was hot on its heels and Jasmine said she expected it to get Danielle another Best Book nomination in the near future. The morning chat shows were clamoring for Danielle, but Jasmine's instincts were telling her with the way 'Boundless' was selling it would be best to wait and let that book break big as well and really have the morning shows begging for her to appear.
In the meantime Londyn's turn in the movie "Intergalactic Vice Squad" had earned her a Starlight Accolade nomination for Best Acting Performance.
They didn't have much time to get ready so it was time to visit the Galleria Bianca De Luca and see what gowns she could whip up for them to dazzle in on the red carpet. Melissa had stressed that unlike their previous trip to the Accolades the media would be wanting to see Londyn walk the carpet for this one, and with their relationship and Danielle's rising profile she'd be in demand too. And while she was at it, could Londyn send her a list of guests to be attending with them so she could secure tickets for them. This time around their friends wouldn't be watching the show from home, they were going to be there. Bianca, as always was a miracle worker and had them all dressed to kill in no time.
Londyn and Danielle emerged from the limo Melissa had arranged for them. She had arranged for their friends to be dropped off earlier so that they could be there to see Londyn and Danielle make their entrance. When their limo pulled up to the curb, the ladies emerged into the eye of a proverbial hurricane. The chorus of screams and shouts from the media and fans was was like a wave. The flashes from the vast array of cameras were almost like strobe lights. This was the world that Londyn had dreamt of and she was in her element. For Danielle it was a world she’d seen from afar but never imagined she’d find herself in the middle of.
Londyn could read Danielle's eyes and the fear and nervousness she was trying so hard to hide. "You got this babe. Just follow my lead." Danielle leaned on the strength of Londyn confidence and let go of her inhibitions. Within moments Danielle lost herself in the moment.
After they did their turn on the red carpet they met up in the VIP lounge with the friends. Everyone set about mingling and stargazing. It was a 'Who's Who" of Del Sol Valley's entertainment elite and they had been set loose...
Allegra couldn't resist a little showing off...
Danielle and Londyn were ready for a break and they grabbed a table. They were deep in conversation when a familiar voice spoke up behind them. “I love what you did with your hair!” Londyn turned and smiled as she saw the face of her best friend in the business.
“Venessa! Oh my God girl I haven’t seen you in forever” she said as she gave her a friendly hug.
"Sit with us. We've got so much to catch up on." The women spent the next little while catching up.
Venessa had arrived in time to hear Allegra's little impromptu concert. She was captivated by Allegra's voice, but also Allegra herself. She had a beautiful and Venessa couldn't tear herself away. She wanted to meet this woman who sang like angel. No, she needed to meet her. She sat and listened until Allegra's little performance ended. She tried to get to her but so many others had been spellbound too and had gathered around to enjoy her singing. Now they were crowded around Allegra and Venessa lost sight of her. That was when she spotted Londyn and Danielle as scanned the lounge for this mysterious woman. Venessa had decided to spend some time with her friends. And that's what she was doing when Allegra passed by on her way to join Summer and the others on the dance floor, just feet from Venessa.
Venessa's eyes met Allegra's, if only briefly. Venessa's continued her conversation and Allegra finished making her way to the dance floor.
Venessa kept chatting, but her eyes kept darting towards the dance floor, searching for Allegra. Londyn noticed the way Venessa couldn't maintain eye contact and how that had all changed after Allegra walked by. Danielle had picked up on how Venessa's gaze kept going over her shoulder.
Danielle and Londyn's friends were having a blast on the dance floor and Allegra began motioning for them to join in the fun. Venessa spotted it too and started connecting the dots.
"Do you two know her?" She motioned at Allegra.
"Who? The one in the maroon dress? That's Allegra. Yeah she's one of our friends." Londyn looked at Danielle. both of them sensing something was brewing. "You want to meet her? Come on, I'll introduce you."
"Allegra. Allegra!" Londyn said trying to get her attention. Londyn motioned for her to come join her and Venessa. "Allegra, I want you to meet Venessa Jeong. Venessa this is Allegra Rossi..."

Londyn is the most photogenic sim I've ever seen. Danielle is very photogenic too so the pair of them on the red carpet together is 🔥. Watch out once Danielle starts to feel as comfortable in the spotlight as Londyn.
She's only been on camera once in the back of shot since I gave her that hairstyle. The one time she featured in the story she had a shorter style. And thank you so much for inspiring my use of that trick to hide her identity. I learned from the best.❤️

First, I really want to complement you on how your writing has grown. Your descriptions continue to grow vivid and captivating... I can smell the sea air.

The photoshoot was great and horrible at the same time... seven-inch heels as the price of fame. Londyn's big time, but not big time enough to escape such demands. You're really capturing the beauty and challenges of her life so well. Fantastic!

I was thinking about Cassie and her journey to stardom. Danielle and Londyn still haven't reached Global Superstar status but it's tantilizingly close. For Londyn it may be as close as her role in this TV show she has coming up and for Danielle a good turn on the morning chat show circuit may be her ticket. Just how I'm going to shoot those chat show scenes is beyond me at the moment.🤔 I have some ideas, but nothing firm yet.
All good things come at a cost. In this case it's a price that the old men who demand women to do these sorts of things in turn for their moment in the sun that no woman should have to pay, not unless she chooses to do that of her own freewill. That little moment where Danielle thought of Londyn and wished she could have swapped shoes with her and felt a pang of regret for her choice of footwear highlights how devoted they are to each other. As I was writing and editing that together I kept singing Cyndi Lauper's Time After Time.

I really, really wanted to turn her into a mermaid but it just won't work. I would have had to introduce the possibility of occults from the beginning. It did give me an idea for a future story though when the day comes and this one ends.😁

First, the story isn't done. I would love to have this story migrated over to the new forums, and I know it's been nominated(Thank you @luciusstorm, and anyone else who has nominated it too❤️), but I'm going to plan on it getting passed over. I think at this point it may be best to put the story on hiatus until we see how the nominations play out and which stories get migrated in full. If this one isn't one of the fortunate ones I have a couple of ideas. One would be to take the chapters that were 'lost', everything from the beginning through at least Londyn and Danielle's wedding and repost them later after the new forums open. The problem I see there is they would be out of order. Chapters 21 through 44 would appear first, followed by Chapters 1 through 20.
There's also the option to reboot the story and go back in time to shortly before Danielle arrived in Tartosa. It would give me a chance to show more of her backstory, along with Londyn, Matteo, and the rest of the main cast. I did leave some plot holes that I could fill in or just do a better job than I did the first time. I don't have to make any decisions just yet, I just need to be sure that as much of the content that can be migrated finds its way over to the new home.
Whichever way you ultimately decide to go, I look forward to reading more stories of romance, hope and love from Tartosa.
There will be a lot more to come.❤️ I'm looking forward to learning more about how the new forums will be setup and then I can make my final decision about how to move the story forward. In the meantime I think I'm going to start spending more time with Ray, Anna, and Mimi. Not that the sisterhood will be totally forgotten about. Yesterday and today have been a whirlwind so I'm running a bit behind on getting the long overdue next chapter finished. I'm done writing but even though I've added 30-40 pages to my Imgur recently, of course I'm missing a bunch of shots I want.😆
The sunlight danced on the crystalline blue waters of Tartosa Bay as the plane swept in to land. Londyn and Danielle had been up and at the security check in at Sulani International Airport as the starlit blackness of the tropical night began to give way to the first streaks of purple and blue marking the imminent arrival of dawn. Their flight had met head winds on its way back to Tartosa and they had just missed the chance to see the rise again over their home. The time away with friends and family had been filled with love and happy memories. From Liberty and Matteo's fairy tale wedding, the sisterhood's strengthening their bonds, to Londyn's decision to embrace her roots, everyone returned home to Tartosa better for the time together in paradise.
Summer had arranged to pick up the girls at the airport. Danielle and Londyn both sent her text messages teasing their new looks and she couldn't wait to see them. In spite of Danielle's texts she was still surprised to see her oldest friend come down the jetway sporting less than half the hair she'd had just twenty-four hours earlier.
"Oh my God, look at you two!" she gasped, her hands coming up and covering her mouth which had become an 'O'. "You're so beautiful! Both of you! Danielle, girl, I've never seen you with short hair but it looks amazing on you!"
"Londyn, girlfriend, I didn't think it was possible for you to be any more beautiful than you already were, but I was wrong. I'm so happy for you. I know that going back to your natural hair is really personal. I love it and you should be proud. So let's get your stuff loaded up and get you two home."
"Thank you Summer" she said. "We really appreciate you doing this for us."
"Anything for my sisters."
Londyn grabbed her suitcase with one hand and one of Danielle's hands with the other and gave it a loving squeeze as she enjoyed the warm, salt-tinged Mediterranean breezes that were wafting through the Terminal's forecourt. They loaded their bags into the back of Summer's car and set off for their little island love nest, thankful for Summer's help and the invention of wheeled luggage. Since they always came back from their trips with more they left with they were especially thankful that the walk was downhill after they passed the curved portion of the path that overlooked the bay.
It felt wonderful to be home again. She grew up in Sulani, with the scents of the tropical flowers mingling with the salty air, enticing her senses, but Danielle was here. Tartosa was home now, though in truth wherever Danielle was at any moment was home to Londyn. Home wasn't a question of where. It was entirely a matter of who. Londyn's world revolved around a blonde star that outshone the wonders of the universe.
Words like eternity and forever were merely abstract concepts until she looked into Danielle's eyes, held her hands, or kissed her lips. In those moments they ceased to be theories and concepts and they became facts. They weren't cold hard facts, they were warm and loving, inviting her to open her heart and mind, to come and explore what lies beyond ordinary love.
After the kiss they grabbed their bags, hauled them inside and dumped them near the staircase. They kicked off their shoes and enjoyed the feel of the hard wood floors, not too hot, not too cold. There are few feelings like those moments when you first return home from a trip to remind you of the little joys and comforts you take for granted every day. Londyn had left her tablet stand at her parent's house so Danielle run upstairs and grabbed hers. They set up Londyn's tablet on the bar and settled on the plush comfy bar stools, eager to hear what Melissa had for Londyn. Nothing could have prepared them for what was to come. The screen flashed briefly and then Mel’s face appeared.
"Hi Londyn!" In that moment Londyn's new hairstyle registered with Melissa. "You finally did it! Congrats girl!" Melissa said. "How's it feel?"
"I love it. The straight hair and ponytail were ok, but I was tired of hiding who I am and playing the 'whole go along to get along' game. Sorry I didn't clue you in sooner but it all came together fast. This doesn't ruin any plans you had?"
"No. I just need to set up a time with a pro to get some new promotional photos. Not to worry I know who to get and you'll love her."
"What have you got for me girl?"
"Two, and if things break right you could do both. One's a movie, the other is the pilot for a TV series. Are you ok with tv work? Or do you want to stick to movies?"
"Actings acting Mel. I don't care which one."
"I love hearing you say that. Do you want both or just one?"
"If you can get me in I’d love to do both."
"Perfect. The movie is first and should wrap production before the tv series starts."
"When's the audition?"
"I think you missed something dear. You've got the parts. Both directors asked for you by name. All I have to do is make a couple calls to let two very happy directors know they have their star."
"WHAT?!" Londyn exclaimed a little louder than she'd intended. "You're kidding me?" Londyn said to Melissa's smiling face. "You're not kidding me? How? I haven't had a role since the Urbz movie. That was months ago."
"And you won an award for that performance. Starlight Accolades open doors girlfriend. The more of them you have the more doors that open, and the wider they open, but all you need is that first one to get noticed and get in. After that it's all up to you and your talent. Girlfriend, your a name in this town. Now make me proud and own those roles."
"What about the photoshoot?" As she asked the question she turned to Danielle feeling disbelief and euphoria swirling around her inside her being, threatening to topple her off her stool.
"As soon as we're done here and I confirm that you're accepting the roles, I'll make a call or two and get you booked. Are you ready to be a global superstar?"
"Umm...ye...yeah! I...I...I can't believe it. It's really happening."
"Better start believin', cause my girl's star is on the rise, ya'll!"
"Thank you Melissa" Danielle said after a couple seconds of Londyn's stunned silence, still draped around her soulmate reveling in the closeness and the happiness radiating off her in waves.
"Take care of each other ladies. Bye!" As soon as Mel's face disappeared Londyn let out a scream of excitement.
They were on their feet in an instant and Londyn took Danielle into her arms. The hug felt like it lasted only a moment, as Londyn's head spun. "I'm so proud of you baby. You've worked so hard to get where you are and you deserve every good thing coming your way. I love you more than words can say" Danielle whispered in her ear.
Londyn released the embrace so she could pull Danielle in for a kiss that set both their worlds on fire. The passion and excitement that flooded out of Londyn through her lips and into Danielle's made both of their heads spin as if they were drunk. The world swum in and out of focus.
Every dream Londyn had dreamt as a teenager; a wife, a beautiful home, and stardom were all within her grasp. Her lips were lovingly caressing the first dream, it was all happening right in the middle of the second, and the third and final part of her dreams was in her hands, all she had to do was hit those sets and pour every ounce of herself into the roles and her dreams would be that much closer to realization. A shiver of excitement and anticipation rippled through her from her head to her toes and Danielle felt it too. All of the dreams that filled her head at night as a child and later as a teen, none of them ever compared to what she had right now, especially what she had in her arms right now.
"Babe, I feel the same about you. I'm the luckiest woman in the world. Without you I'm nothing, with you there's nothing I can't do."
Melissa booked an appointment for Londyn with a professional in San Myshuno to get an entire portfolio of shots. She'd been on several photoshoots. She'd met Danielle while she was in Tartosa for one. As she stood there in the changing room with Danielle helping her get into what felt like her one-hundredth different dress her feet were killing her. The shoes they'd picked out for her were fabulously stylish but hideously uncomfortable. She preferred her heels that under four inches but the stylists were insistent on five, six, and even a pair of seven inch heels. Her feet already had blisters and there were blisters on those blisters. She'd turned her right ankle when she first tried setting off in the seven inch skyscrapers. Londyn exchanged a look with Danielle that said when she reached true star status she was going to insist on bringing her own heels to these photoshoots in the future. They weren't comfortable for all day wear but the heels she'd bought for herself weren't as bad as these. She admitted to herself as she checked her reflection in the mirror, they looked fabulous on her.
Londyn hobbled back to the dressing room for the third time. Danielle had been helping her get ready between takes. She had been there to be Londyn's strength as the marathon session had ground on. "Thank God this is the last round" Londyn said as she slipped into a blue pantsuit that dazzled and flattered like nothing Danielle had ever seen her in. Then came those murderous heels. "I don't mind photoshoots for the first couple of hours, but these all day affairs are murder on my feet. Next time I'm bringing a pair of sneaks to slip into. The straps on my wedges are going to hit right where half of these blisters are."
"You're a boss for getting through this."
"I'd kiss you but then it's back to makeup and I want to get this over with."
Danielle blew her a kiss before Londyn headed back into the studio for her final turn in front of the camera. "When you're done these lips will be waiting for you."
For the next hour Londyn flashed her megawatt smile and dazzled the room. Danielle was watching from the back of the room and felt a thrill as she watched Londyn in her element.
Danielle knew the pain Londyn was in from spending an entire day in heels, but she covered it up so well. By the time the shoot wrapped up the moon was beginning to rise on San Myshuno. When the photographer announced that the session was a wrap, Londyn kicked off her heels and launched them towards the head of the stairs leading down the second floor and the dressing room. It felt like a moment of liberation, the cool tile soothing her aching feet. Danielle felt bad that she hadn't thought to suggest sneakers and that she'd chosen to wear a pair of high heel boots herself. She hadn't needed to be on her feet all day so the choice hadn't been painful. It hurt her to see Londyn in pain, and she felt a pang of regret that she'd chosen to wear the boots instead of gym shoes. She could have swapped and worn Londyn's wedges home for her. As they reached the stairs Danielle gently grabbed Londyn's hand and pulled her to a stop so she could look her in the eyes. "I believe I promised you these lips would be waiting for you."
As Londyn changed Danielle fished into her purse and for the first time all afternoon she checked her phone. She got a pleasant surprise, a voicemail from her agent Jasmine.
"Hey Danielle. I hope you and Londyn are having fun at her photoshoot. I know you've been busy all day and haven't been home yet so I get to be the one to break the news to you. You need to get out your best gown and be in Del Sol Valley Sunday night for the Starlight Accolades, because "Undeniable" has been nominated for best book! I'm so proud of you! You are my little gem! Give me a call later when you get the chance because I have even more news for you. Congratulations dear. Take care of yourself, bye now!"
"Oh my God" she squealed. "I've been nominated for another Best Book accolade!" Londyn hobbled over, half dressed and gave her a kiss.
"Congrats babe. Let's get out of here, go home, and really celebrate" she said with a wink and a kiss.
Things were moving fast. Londyn barely had two days before she was due on set for her movie gig. Jasmine had revealed to Danielle that she had set up a tour of several morning shows the following week to have her promote 'Undeniable' and the followup book 'Boundless'. While 'Undeniable' was currently the darling of the romance genre and bestseller lists, 'Boundless' was hot on its heels and Jasmine said she expected it to get Danielle another Best Book nomination in the near future. The morning chat shows were clamoring for Danielle, but Jasmine's instincts were telling her with the way 'Boundless' was selling it would be best to wait and let that book break big as well and really have the morning shows begging for her to appear.
In the meantime Londyn's turn in the movie "Intergalactic Vice Squad" had earned her a Starlight Accolade nomination for Best Acting Performance.
They didn't have much time to get ready so it was time to visit the Galleria Bianca De Luca and see what gowns she could whip up for them to dazzle in on the red carpet. Melissa had stressed that unlike their previous trip to the Accolades the media would be wanting to see Londyn walk the carpet for this one, and with their relationship and Danielle's rising profile she'd be in demand too. And while she was at it, could Londyn send her a list of guests to be attending with them so she could secure tickets for them. This time around their friends wouldn't be watching the show from home, they were going to be there. Bianca, as always was a miracle worker and had them all dressed to kill in no time.
Londyn and Danielle emerged from the limo Melissa had arranged for them. She had arranged for their friends to be dropped off earlier so that they could be there to see Londyn and Danielle make their entrance. When their limo pulled up to the curb, the ladies emerged into the eye of a proverbial hurricane. The chorus of screams and shouts from the media and fans was was like a wave. The flashes from the vast array of cameras were almost like strobe lights. This was the world that Londyn had dreamt of and she was in her element. For Danielle it was a world she’d seen from afar but never imagined she’d find herself in the middle of.
Londyn could read Danielle's eyes and the fear and nervousness she was trying so hard to hide. "You got this babe. Just follow my lead." Danielle leaned on the strength of Londyn confidence and let go of her inhibitions. Within moments Danielle lost herself in the moment.
After they did their turn on the red carpet they met up in the VIP lounge with the friends. Everyone set about mingling and stargazing. It was a 'Who's Who" of Del Sol Valley's entertainment elite and they had been set loose...
Allegra couldn't resist a little showing off...
Danielle and Londyn were ready for a break and they grabbed a table. They were deep in conversation when a familiar voice spoke up behind them. “I love what you did with your hair!” Londyn turned and smiled as she saw the face of her best friend in the business.
“Venessa! Oh my God girl I haven’t seen you in forever” she said as she gave her a friendly hug.
"Sit with us. We've got so much to catch up on." The women spent the next little while catching up.
Venessa had arrived in time to hear Allegra's little impromptu concert. She was captivated by Allegra's voice, but also Allegra herself. She had a beautiful and Venessa couldn't tear herself away. She wanted to meet this woman who sang like angel. No, she needed to meet her. She sat and listened until Allegra's little performance ended. She tried to get to her but so many others had been spellbound too and had gathered around to enjoy her singing. Now they were crowded around Allegra and Venessa lost sight of her. That was when she spotted Londyn and Danielle as scanned the lounge for this mysterious woman. Venessa had decided to spend some time with her friends. And that's what she was doing when Allegra passed by on her way to join Summer and the others on the dance floor, just feet from Venessa.
Venessa's eyes met Allegra's, if only briefly. Venessa's continued her conversation and Allegra finished making her way to the dance floor.
Venessa kept chatting, but her eyes kept darting towards the dance floor, searching for Allegra. Londyn noticed the way Venessa couldn't maintain eye contact and how that had all changed after Allegra walked by. Danielle had picked up on how Venessa's gaze kept going over her shoulder.
Danielle and Londyn's friends were having a blast on the dance floor and Allegra began motioning for them to join in the fun. Venessa spotted it too and started connecting the dots.
"Do you two know her?" She motioned at Allegra.
"Who? The one in the maroon dress? That's Allegra. Yeah she's one of our friends." Londyn looked at Danielle. both of them sensing something was brewing. "You want to meet her? Come on, I'll introduce you."
"Allegra. Allegra!" Londyn said trying to get her attention. Londyn motioned for her to come join her and Venessa. "Allegra, I want you to meet Venessa Jeong. Venessa this is Allegra Rossi..."

Londyn is the most photogenic sim I've ever seen. Danielle is very photogenic too so the pair of them on the red carpet together is 🔥. Watch out once Danielle starts to feel as comfortable in the spotlight as Londyn.
She's only been on camera once in the back of shot since I gave her that hairstyle. The one time she featured in the story she had a shorter style. And thank you so much for inspiring my use of that trick to hide her identity. I learned from the best.❤️

The photoshoot was great and horrible at the same time... seven-inch heels as the price of fame. Londyn's big time, but not big time enough to escape such demands. You're really capturing the beauty and challenges of her life so well. Fantastic!

I was thinking about Cassie and her journey to stardom. Danielle and Londyn still haven't reached Global Superstar status but it's tantilizingly close. For Londyn it may be as close as her role in this TV show she has coming up and for Danielle a good turn on the morning chat show circuit may be her ticket. Just how I'm going to shoot those chat show scenes is beyond me at the moment.🤔 I have some ideas, but nothing firm yet.
All good things come at a cost. In this case it's a price that the old men who demand women to do these sorts of things in turn for their moment in the sun that no woman should have to pay, not unless she chooses to do that of her own freewill. That little moment where Danielle thought of Londyn and wished she could have swapped shoes with her and felt a pang of regret for her choice of footwear highlights how devoted they are to each other. As I was writing and editing that together I kept singing Cyndi Lauper's Time After Time.
